Sapporo has always been a great place to bring my family during celebrations or just if we crave some seafood. I love the hibachi dinners and they people who cook the food are always friendly and love to make kids happy so bring them in. The place itself is well put together and never dirty when I go in. They have a beautiful waterfall wall and the restaurant itself is very modern and expensive looking but fits with the Japanese culture well. Their sushi is amazing and I always get the octopus when I go. Thank-you so much Sapporos for bringing smiles to the Sheridan people, you are wonderful. read more

We stopped here for dinner during our tour as it was recommended by our tour guide. The restaurant is large inside with plenty of tables, a sushi bar, and bar. I ordered the beef teriyaki steak dinner bento box. The steak was cooked medium rare as requested. The shrimp tempura was crispy but did not come with any tempura sauce. I used the wasabi and mixed it with soy sauce to substitute for it. The rice was a bowl full turned over in the box. That portion would serve two. The staff was friendly, though a bit disorganized with timing. read more

Zen is awesome! Great atmosphere, great food very friendly staff! Visiting town and next time I'm here I'm definitely coming again!

-100. Where to start. First off they ask us "booth or grill", I looked at all my friends excited, and we say "grill". Flashes of memories of sake bombs and fire flood my eyes and mind. We were expecting a hibachi chef to be serving us soon, but that never happened. A waiter comes over and takes all our orders, so I think to myself the chef will be coming soon. After good amount of time goes by, all of the sudden salad and soup starts come out. That's weird. We haven't even seen our chef yet. OK fine. I take look at my salad as I'm about to start eating and first problem, there's a big hair in it. Then a few moments later, all of our food starts to come out and several of my friends ordered chicken and steak on the grill. But apparently we're not gonna get a grill, so not only are we sitting in the grill with a waiter that is there only occasionally, but we don't get to have entertainment. No fire. No sake bombs. Nothing. OK fine. I guess we can deal with that. How's the food? Where to start. My friend was allergic to shrimp and ordered chicken and steak. Apparently on the top of the menu it says all meals come with shrimp and they didn't read that so their meal came with shrimp on the plate. Obviously, my friend is not gonna eat it. They politely ask, "Hey, can we get this remade?" and the server tells them all, "It comes with shrimp. You can eat. It's OK." No it's not OK. He will literally die if he eats this. Apparently the server cannot get it through his head so they say "Can we just get another one right? Can you remake this?" So the server, without saying a word, leaves for about 20 minutes. He eventually comes back with a fresh plate of chicken and steak. Unfortunately, the chicken for my friends this time was raw. They don't send it back this time. They're just kind of over it as we all kind of are with this dinner as every dish had a strange taste. The soy sauce tasted 10 years old and everything is dingy and dirty. On top of that, they forgot one of my friends' sushi rolls and forgot a kids' fried rice. At this point we're all frustrated. When we tried to order sake, our waiter said he'd be back, but he never came back. So we wrap up the meal and we decide to go to the counter. I go to the counter and say, "Hey, when they brought us the checks, we noticed that they charged us for two chicken and steak meals after we sent the one back." I say to the lady "Listen. He's allergic to the shrimp. We did not want this and they're charging us for two even though he's allergic and we had the plate remade." She says "Oh OK. I'll get that taken off" and she leaves and we hear some loud talking. A man comes back up, the same man that brought us the second dish and says "You said you'll pay for it." We did not say that, we asked it to be remade so that my friend could eat it. So, after some more arguing, he goes away again, takes it off our ticket, but when he comes back the next time, he very aggressively chucks the tray with the ticket and the credit card on it at my friend. At this point. I'm just fed up beyond belief and we pay our checks and leave. One of the worst food experiences I've ever had. If I could give less than a Star I would. Do. Not. Eat. Here. read more

My wife and I each had a nice bento box meal after rolling into Thermopolis rather late. Closed the place down but everyone was friendly and nice to the end. read more

So we ate dinner one day and lunch the next because we enjoyed it so much the day before so we stopped as we were going through town again. The food was tasty and the service was fast and friendly. It was very clean. Our waiter was on the ball. I dropped my napkin and before I could pick it up he had a new one and got the old off the floor. Always thank yous and smiles. It was very pleasant. I wish other restaurants and stuff were so nice. read more

It was good. Rice was a bit too salty.. was kinda pricey for the amount of food given. Not enough.!!!!

The food was good and the service was quick and efficient. I had the chicken and steak lunch combo which included a good portion and was well prepared. The restaurant is priced like any other. read more

Well, can't give a very good review for my first time there!!! Think our waiter lost track of his tables?? People coming in after our group were ordering after we did but getting served before our table was!! Couple people came in, ordered, ate, an left before some of our table was served!! Everyone else at our table was almost finished eating before I got my dinner, I had to ask where it was?? He had No idea where my dinner order was?? Ordered a glass of wine, it was gone long before I got my dinner, was never asked if I'd like another one?? One person sat us, another person took our drink order, another person took our dinner order, another person brought us our meals, then another person cleaned off the table as we left!!! Who the heck are we tipping?? The last thing, hardly anyone working there was smiling!!! Looked like a Very unhappy place to work!!! read more

They overfilled one of their soup cans, completely melting through the lid and causing a large area of liquid damage on my car seat's covers and on the car seat itself resulting in lost wages (I am a doordasher and this happened during one of my routine deliveries) and lost money to restore my car seat from liquid damage. Absolutely not OK. This needs to NEVER happen again. *edit* Manager made it right through gift card compensation, talking to chefs, team, and owner about the failed plastic lid. read more

The first thing I noticed and I'm sure everyone else does too is the giant red sumo wrestler out front. What a cool touch this adds to the restuarant! Sapporo is such a beautiful restuarant. The layout and decor is great and the chairs are comfortable. The staff are welcoming and nice and the service is fast. Unfortunately we couldn't experience the hibachi chef because we needed a reservation for that, but we could still order hibachi. I've had a lot of hibachi and although the portion was there the taste was not. I ordered the chicken hibachi which comes with ginger salad and mushroom soup. The ginger salad dressing didn't have much flavor and I felt that the mushroom soup could have been stronger as well. The chicken and fried rice wasn't up to par with other hibachi restaurants, but the veggies were good. The prices are a bit cheaper than what I'm used to for hibachi I just wish the food was better. Overall, it was a decent meal, but being from a bigger city where I've experienced more hibachi it could have been better. read more

Great sashimi in a nice ambiance with good, efficient service. The receptionist lady in the front could be a little friendlier, but the rest of the waitstaff was great. Seeing such good reviews about the Hibachi fried rice, I was a little disappointed with my veggie fried rice though. Next time we will sit at the Hibachi grill. read more

The grill is still good but prices are up and the portion size has gone down by half. We used to leave w leftovers. Those days are over

Delicious and beautiful sushi! Less than five stars because the service was a bit slow, the staff was helpful and friendly though, and we ordered the mango martini, but it was more like mango-orange juice, couldn't taste any vodka. read more

Sapporo - Sex on the Beach Roll & Out of Control Roll - Japanese Near Me - Sheridan, Wyoming

Yum yum yum, the food is so good! I got a seaweed salad a Sapporo roll the roll is so filling and perfect balance of sweet and savory! The rest of our group got the hibachi steak shrimp and chicken and they loved it all. The noodles are great! The service was so kind and patient with our kiddos. Everything was clean and tidy felt very comfortable in the extra large booths. Will be back for sure! read more

It was a good place for to have sushi for Sheridan. The wait staff was friendly and the wait time for food was minimal.

I got takeout for dinner so I can only rate the food. The food was excellent. The shrimp and vegetable tempura was especially good. Yaki Udon noodles very tasty. Came with side salad and miso soup. Plenty to eat and prices were reasonable. read more

It is solid for a town in Wyoming. Wouldn't make it in a bigger market but the food is reasonable. Bento box is a good deal. Slightly overpriced but you do get a lot of food. The tempura was plentiful but mine was a little old. We all know fried food of any kind needs to be right out of the kitchen. Service inside is good. Take out is really busy and the lady working the front was like "tf you want" but I don't hold stuff like that against an establishment, I only rate the food. read more

great food, great service, nice ambiance. everything is great at this restaurant. I really enjoyed the appetizer Haru Maki. read more

Best roll I have ever eaten. I had the sex on the beach roll. I don't like the name but it was great!! Service was great. People were nice.

Great quality considering how far we are from the ocean. !!!! Great sushi and teppanyaki. read more

My only problem with Sapporo was that the menu was so extensive I had trouble deciding what to order. We were tired and not up to making decisions, so we just ordered the chicken teriyaki for lunch. The chicken was melt-in-your-mouth, and the sauce was delicious. It came with a big bowl of fried rice and perfect mushroom soup. I only wish there was a Sapporo in my area of Washington State so I could try the other yummies on the menu. read more

Good sushi, hibachi grill was a lot of fun! Delicious meats/noodles/rice and good sized portions. Not a fan of the salad dressing the use on iceberg lettuce, their appetizer soups, or num-num (pink) sauce they serve as a side with everything. Overall a fun place to take out-of-town visitors. read more

This place gets way more hype than it deserves. The only reason it even gets 2 stars is for the atmosphere....the food is horrible and you will pay a ridiculous price for it. The chicken fried rice is literally the same thing from the freezer section in the grocery store. No flavor and little bits of reconstituted freeze dried chicken. I will take dragon wall and Albertson's sushi over this place any day. read more

Staff was very quick and accommodating. Sushi was delicious. Rolls were huge! The pictures in the menu were very helpful in making our choices easier. Room was a little dark, but overall nice atmosphere. read more

I go here for lunch. Ive gone several times alone to treat myself. I go right when they open to beat the crowd. I almost always get the sushi roll lunch special. The sushi is always fresh and tasty! The service is friendly which is very important to me. Ive had several appetizers as my lunch in the past which are also Delicious! I typically go right when they open for lunch to beat the large lunch crowd that comes in between 11:30-noon. I highly recommend Sapporo. Ive not ever had a bad experience.? read more

I was in the area for a few days and was trying to find a good lunch spot. I'm glad we found Sapporo because the prices were fair and the food was delicious. I ended up coming here two days in a row because everyone in the party and myself enjoyed the service and meals. We ordered the three sushi roll deal and we all enjoyed them. I ordered the New York steak lunch special and it was delicious but they added what seemed like a whole onion underneath the steak which was a bit overpowering. If I'm ever in the Sheridan area I would definitely stop by to get some Sapporo. read more

I was traveling from Helena, MT to Denver and my truck broke down. I looked online for a place eat by my hotel, and I saw Sapporo. I actually was in the parking lot earlier and didn't notice the restaurant because it's small. I'm glad I went though- I got the Yaki Soba dish and it was pretty darn good. I really liked the portion size too- they are not chintzy. It came with a small salad, but the dressing was not great. It came with a miso soup too that was tasty. We have a similar restaurant in Helena, but this place is better. read more

I came here from out of town, California specifically. I will admit, I'm somewhat of a sushi snob so I was super skeptical getting sushi in Wyoming of all places. But I have to say, this place was phenomenal!! The decor is trendy, the service was attentive, kind, and quick, the food was BOMB, and the price was right. These were regular sushi prices (about $14 per fancy roll) but I could see it being expensive for some people. I got the California roll and Sex on the Beach - very tasty and well made. I would totally go back here and recommend it to locals and out of towners! read more

I'm sorry but coming here for lunch was an awful experience... terrible service!! I was seated at the table and waited for the drinks for 10min, no one was in the restaurant, just me and my two friends. There were 2 waiters and one chef in the sushi bar. I asked for an avocado salad and then the waiter forgot to place the order. Meanwhile, I was sitting near the sushi bar and my main course was sitting on the counter for over 10min. So, I asked the waiter: "Is that sushi mine?" He says yes and so I asked if could I have it now because it was deep fried I would eat cold?! Why.. Well the only good thing was that the food was great, but the service is awful!!! read more

Thought we'd give them a second try, but it was so bad. The hibachi chicken was undercooked. Very disappointed because it all smelled good. Tried calling the restaurant and all I get is a recording saying that "the party I'm trying to reach has not set-up voicemail". read more

Who would have thought I would have the best sushi/sashimi I ever had in Sheridan Wyoming. Sashimi were cut thick and melted in your mouth. So fresh and delicious. I will have to find a reason to drive back to Sheridan to eat here. read more

Good food and good times always. Love the guys at the hibachi. A great place for birthdays and a late night sushi date :)
