People coming in after our group were ordering after we did but getting served before our table was!! Couple people came in, ordered, ate, an left before some of our table was served!! Ordered a glass of wine, it was gone long before I got my dinner, was never asked if I'd like another one?? They overfilled one of their soup cans, completely melting through the lid and causing a large area of liquid damage on my car seat's covers and on the car seat itself resulting in lost wages (I am a doordasher and this happened during one of my routine deliveries) and lost money to restore my car seat from liquid damage. The first thing I noticed and I'm sure everyone else does too is the giant red sumo wrestler out front. What a cool touch this adds to the restuarant! Sapporo is such a beautiful restuarant. The layout and decor is great and the chairs are comfortable. The staff are welcoming and nice and the service is fast. Unfortunately we couldn't experience the hibachi chef because we needed a reservation for that, but we could still order hibachi. I've had a lot of hibachi and although the portion was there the taste was not. I ordered the chicken hibachi which comes with ginger salad and mushroom soup. The ginger salad dressing didn't have much flavor and I felt that the mushroom soup could have been stronger as well. The chicken and fried rice wasn't up to par with other hibachi restaurants, but the veggies were good. The prices are a bit cheaper than what I'm used to for hibachi I just wish the food was better. Overall, it was a decent meal, but being from a bigger city where I've experienced more hibachi it could have been better. read more

Great sashimi in a nice ambiance with good, efficient service. The receptionist lady in the front could be a little friendlier, but the rest of the waitstaff was great. Yum yum yum, the food is so good! I got a seaweed salad a Sapporo roll the roll is so filling and perfect balance of sweet and savory! The rest of our group got the hibachi steak shrimp and chicken and they loved it all. The noodles are great! The service was so kind and patient with our kiddos. My only problem with Sapporo was that the menu was so extensive I had trouble deciding what to order. We were tired and not up to making decisions, so we just ordered the chicken teriyaki for lunch. The chicken was melt-in-your-mouth, and the sauce was delicious. It came with a big bowl of fried rice and perfect mushroom soup. This place gets way more hype than it deserves. The only reason it even gets 2 stars is for the atmosphere....the food is horrible and you will pay a ridiculous price for it. The chicken fried rice is literally the same thing from the freezer section in the grocery store. No flavor and little bits of reconstituted freeze dried chicken. I go here for lunch. Ive gone several times alone to treat myself. I go right when they open to beat the crowd. I almost always get the sushi roll lunch special. The sushi is always fresh and tasty! The service is friendly which is very important to me. Ive had several appetizers as my lunch in the past which are also Delicious! Not a fan of the salad dressing the use on iceberg lettuce, their appetizer soups, or num-num (pink) sauce they serve as a side with everything. I was in the area for a few days and was trying to find a good lunch spot. I'm glad we found Sapporo because the prices were fair and the food was delicious. I ended up coming here two days in a row because everyone in the party and myself enjoyed the service and meals. We ordered the three sushi roll deal and we all enjoyed them. I ordered the New York steak lunch special and it was delicious but they added what seemed like a whole onion underneath the steak which was a bit overpowering. I was traveling from Helena, MT to Denver and my truck broke down. I looked online for a place eat by my hotel, and I saw Sapporo. I actually was in the parking lot earlier and didn't notice the restaurant because it's small. I'm glad I went though- I got the Yaki Soba dish and it was pretty darn good. I really liked the portion size too- they are not chintzy. It came with a small salad, but the dressing was not great. It came with a miso soup too that was tasty. I was seated at the table and waited for the drinks for 10min, no one was in the restaurant, just me and my two friends. There were 2 waiters and one chef in the sushi bar. Who would have thought I would have the best sushi/sashimi I ever had in Sheridan Wyoming. Sashimi were cut thick and melted in your mouth. So fresh and delicious. I have eaten hibachi at dozens of locations around the country from many brands. I have been to other Sapporo's as well and this place was amazing! What made the experience so amazing was our hilarious and highly skilled chef Anom! He had the whole table laughing the whole night. His comedy was matched with incredible tricks and skills with his cooking utensils. He was able to spin and split an egg with incredible coordination and other cool tricks.
