My wife and I know less than nothing about Pokémon cards, except that our grandsons like them. Today we took our 11 year old, Adam to buy his birthday present from us. The staff there was most accommodating and patient and friendly. They demonstrated great consideration for my ignorance and they answered all my questions even though they were quite busy. The store was quite neat and appeared to be well stocked. My grandson was very pleased with the array of cards he was able together. His grandparents were thankful that we didn't have to dip into our "mattress fund" nor did we have to remember exactly where to dig up the money buried in the yard! In other words we got a good "bang for our bucks"! The value was just what we hoped it would be, and our grandson was happy. read more

They have a wide variety of single cards and factory decks, card sleeves, dice, play mats, deck holders, board games, Pokémon, Yugio, Dungeons & Dragons, Shadow Run and other RPGs. Very nice shop for wargaming and board/card games. The store is kept well organized and has a very large selection of games to buy and demo. Friendly staff offered to help and were knowledgeable on the games they had in stock and, of course, magic. Wide selection of warhammer, 40k, reaper/D&D, armada, and X-Wing models. Not many obscure wargaming options though. A lot of tables set up, some of which made it difficult to get access to games on the wall. If people were in them you wouldn't have access to those games. After 2 years of playing Pokémon at Dragon Star I am no longer a man as I have come to learn that I am a mxn (cis man who calls history Herstory). An intact egg mxn. The thing is, I've been playing these games at Dragon Star for 3 years, not 2. Last year at this time everything was hunky-dory and I was an intact egg mxn. About a year ago though I lost everything I owned to a pyramid scheme and I was down to 1 MTG card and the clothes on my back. I brought my card in and the owner of the store (a kinda tall guy who thinks he's punk rock or something) gave me a really fair price. They also have taken the most COVID precautions of any business I know.
