The staff there was most accommodating and patient and friendly. They demonstrated great consideration for my ignorance and they answered all my questions even though they were quite busy. The store was quite neat and appeared to be well stocked. My grandson was very pleased with the array of cards he was able together. His grandparents were thankful that we didn't have to dip into our "mattress fund" nor did we have to remember exactly where to dig up the money buried in the yard! In other words we got a good "bang for our bucks"! The value was just what we hoped it would be, and our grandson was happy.

I made a couple of changes, confirmed the delivery address, paid online, and the order was delivered the next day! The convenience was exceeded by the toys themselves--the website is really comprehensive, with a broad selection of toys, games, and books for all ages that are fairly priced. The physical store reminds me of the neighborhood independent toy store where I grew up; kids are encouraged to explore and play, and my guess is that a lot of happy memories are made there. We were looking for a birthday gift for my two year old nephew. The proprietor offered several useful suggestions, telling us which toys were popular and why people liked them. With their help we found the perfect toys easily. We greatly enjoyed talking with the owner, really making our visit fun. The toys we found were fairly priced and a good value for what we wanted. William's Fun Smart Toys seems like a little local secret, the kind of place you want to visit for every child's birthday or special occasion.

A unique view of the Eastern Blue Ridge Mountains. This is…read morejust a few hundred feet from the Black Rock Visitors Center. It is at the turn right before you arrive at the visitor's center. It has a small parking area right off the road. There is a wooden viewing platform built right off the road terminating in a platform about 8 x 15 feet wide and about 25 feet off the ground. This allows visitors to see below and out across the mountains to the east. It offers a nice view but not as spectacular as the ones from the visitors center. It is important to note that this location offers the Eastern view whereas the Visitor's center offers the southern view so it is unique in that respect. One of the trails originates from this same location. It is nice to see and has a nice informational display built onto the platform explaining the view. When first entering it looks like it is a tunnel through the trees but it opens into a better, broader view. It is worth a stop either on the way to the visitor's center or on the way back from the center. You may also want to visit the Foxfire museum right down the mountain a little bit. Enjoy.
