Went to the new one in Pharr it had those Panda Express vibes I ordered the plate which comes with one side and 2 entrees for the side I had the fried rice which could use a little more flavor but was good enough with just the right amount of soy sauce added to it the entrees were the Kung Pao chicken and general Tso chicken the Kung Pao had that fresh vegetable taste and just the right amount of spiciness to it but lacked that traditional mother sauce flavor and the general Tso was breaded just right and did have a good taste to it overall the portions were huge and I couldn't finish it and for the price it is a great deal. Dagon House is a small place, yet it's big enough to offer wonderful meals as you'll see in my photos!!! They even of children's meals! Ordered the Takis steak, got French fries. Yeah over half the entree order was French fries. No where in the description or accompaning photo did it say it had potatoes or French fries in it. The fact fries comprised half of it was disconcerting to say the least. Even if this is intentional, it should either say or depict it. I tasted a bit of beef and it was just unpleasant. The food was flavorless and full of oil sadly. No one liked their plate and there was 6 of us. The honey shrimp and the orange chicken were extremely mushy and my general tsao just tasted like iron. The beef is an extra dollar since it's a specialty and it just tased like oily soy sauce. The soup was by far the worst it tasted like sink water. I'm not sure if it's because it was the last of it, but it was so disgusting. The ambiance is overwhelming because it's a small area with loud music and shouting constantly. The only nice thing about this place was the service. The workers were nice and attentive it's just the food and ambiance that ruined the experience. read more

Why is all Chinese food in the Valley bland? The Teriyaki chicken did have a flavor, and that flavor was burnt. Orange chicken was OK. Service was good and the price was low so, you get what you pay for. They were busy which might explain why the table I sat at was filthy. Five stars, the whole family was happy. Came in after a day full of activities and wanted a quick meal. Yea, the restaurant is a local version of the big chain Chinese restaurant but the everything was much better than the big chain. We have a family of 5 and everyone ordered something different from the line. The rice and Lo mein were both excellent. The orange chicken, kung poa, generals and beef with broccoli all got decimated by the kids. The egg rolls were fresh and the restaurant was nice a clean. This place earned 5 stars by having great food, nice customer service and for dine in they offered free hot and sour soup. We will def be going back. read more

Im not a fan of Panda, but I do get it rarely when convenient and its Ok. I went here cause I figured it was HoC trying to copy Panda Express, and HoC used to be ok too. That's basically it what it was, but its really pretty bad. I got the platter and got two of the premium entrees, the Korean Bulgogi and Honey Shrimp, as well as the General Tso cause thats usually a safe option. I also ordered both the fried rice and chow mein. Starting with the good: They offer complimentary hot and sour soup and fried noodles for dine in customers. The soup was pretty decent. The flavor of the sauce for the shrimp was also enjoyable and there was some decent crisp in the batter. The bad was about everything else. The fried rice was just there. Just like any cheap side fried rice that doesnt really do anything on its own. the noodles were about the same. While the honey shrimp was ok, it really didnt have much sauce on it, so about half of it only had the flavor of shrimp and old used cooking oil. The general Tso was also basically cold, slimy and super generic (I got there less than 30 minutes after opening) and the korean bulgogi was terrible. It tasted more like liver and onions with a squeeze of lime, and I worry that that might have actually been the meat going bad and not vinegar. It had a mealy texture and was somehow still tough, with the snapping of sinew while you chew it. This is one of their premium dishes that merits a mark up, mind you. I'd had to meme on things, but my disappointment was immeasurable and my day was ruined. I like to give restaurants a second chance, but I will not do that here. read more

There was a friend that recommended this restaurant months ago. I decided to go and try it out today. As soon as you walk in you can tell they fashioned their whole aesthetic, menu and seating area after Panda Express. Even the three different plates they offer are closely related. As per the taste of the food, it was quite disappointing as my eyes seemed to be deceiving me. All the options looked great but when it came time to eat, it was quite the letdown. It tasted more like Buffet food rather than a sit down gourmet restaurant taste. The only winners for me were the fresh egg rolls, low prices and great customer service. The food was delicious. We came in right as they opened so everything was hot and fresh. The honey shrimp tasted amazing! The teriyaki chicken, orange chicken, and sweet and sour chicken were perfectly cooked and seasoned. For our family of 4 (2 kids, 2 adults) we all were completely stuffed with food to go all under $50. It's clean and inviting and the staff were all professional and helpful. Had high hopes for this place. It's kinda like a Panda Express. Only good thing is you get free hot and sour soup.

I enjoy coming here, the staff is friendly and the food is tasty. My go to is lo mien, orange chicken and the sweet and sour chicken, it never disappoints! The prices aren't so bad either for my husband and I we pay around $28 that includes our plates, drinks, and egg rolls. Definitely give this place a try! read more

This place is all hype and no substance. Tables were dirty, there's no parking, barely any space inside to sit, and the food was ridiculously sweet -- like dessert disguised as a meal. The service was bare minimum, just like the effort put into the whole experience. I wouldn't recommend this place to anyone, and I'm definitely never coming back.
