They also had ginger onion stir fry kangaroo meat which was delicious! But the highlight was lobster. They offer several styles, we had traditional Hong Kong style ginger onion and porridge, both were out of this world good! Waiter was very friendly, even showed us how to crack open the lobster legs. Apparently these lobsters are delivered from fisherman across the street every morning, and tasted sweeter than the Northeastern lobsters we were used to from Boston/Maine. Well, that's exactly what you get at the Nepean Country Club Chinese Restaurant. In the most unlikely of places, you will find excellent Chinese food. Everything here is house made by the chef and co-owner, who is Singaporean-Chinese (hence the presence of dishes such as laksa and cha kuey teow on the menu). I could not fault any of the dishes we enjoyed with the crispy skin duck being a standout. I read negative comments on this forum about the service. That was not our experience. The people we dealt with were efficient and friendly. Drinks were incredibly cheap ($7 for a glass of perfectly fine riesling) and the whole meal, with drinks, cost us $60 each, and we left full. The room is large, light, and spacious and the tables are very well spaced. We will definitely be returning. This is some of the best Asian food on the Peninsula. Just note that they are open for dinner only from Wednesday to Saturday, and lunch Sunday only.

As mentioned in other reviews, don't expect this place to be a cheap food court priced meal, but they are comparable to others in the area and, indeed, to any holiday town. The food was really good, and freshly made, even if some ingredients look like they may come from frozen produce. Regardless, after a long day on the road this was exactly what I needed. They were also open later than most other places in the area.
