It is worth at first setting the scene to this review. The annual Camperdown Cruise Rockabilly weekend is held on the last weekend in October each year. It's a weekend full of music, very nice old cars and fun, and a lot of people. We have been attending for a number of years, but never frequented Pat's Chinese. Now i know why! Anglicised Chinese food is at best OK and this was well ho hum! At first we asked if there were any tofu dishes. No tofu as this was the country not Melbourne. So we asked about vegetarian fried rice, no couldn't do that as it was too busy. No one was in the restaurant and no one waiting on probably the busiest weekend on the Camperdown calendar (save when they win the footy final). We should have guessed what the food would be like. You live and learn and we learned the gastronomic way. There are plenty of very nice eating establishments in Camperdown and I suggest you see what they are offering. read more
