Best believe when I tell you how I was both excited and nervous at the same time. My girlfriend has…read morebeen telling me about the classes that she takes, and she decided to book me one to join her. I have never cooked outside of my home and only for a handful of people, so this was an experience! We showed up around the start time, put on our aprons, and prepared to get to work. It was only four of us in the class, all working at one table... I can't decide whether I'm happy it was a more intimate experience or if I would have preferred more participants so I have less attention to myself since it was my first time... Either way it was an absolute blast. The theme of this class was Spanish date night, so we made this chickpea asparagus dish, cheese-stuffed piquillos, Serrano ham- wrapped cod, and almond empanadas. The instruction was clear, tips were given throughout, and overall I found it to be a very approachable experience. Huge shoutout to Penny for doing a fantastic job. Oh, did I mention I used some new kitchen tools and quite frankly had to buy them in the store immediately after?? So fun.

The melon wrapped in Proccuito (sp?) was delicious. Would have never put those flavors together. The clam pasta with cream/white wine sauce was also yummy. Downside the raspberry and fig galette was a little too sweet for me, but I learned how to make pie crust work. Also stand up eating at the end was not as fun as a sit down meal would have been l. I am actually surprised they don't have a sit down dining table set with all their extras in the center of the store, it would be great advertising! Overall, 4.5 stars.

What I got was so much more: a large quantity of delicious meals that were not only healthy, but completely different from anything I would ever cook on my own. Although to follow a plant-based diet that satisfies the tastebuds is challenging, Chef Eva made it possible for me to do so for that week. What a luxury! If you are looking for a personal chef to make meals for you that are nutritious, delicious, and low in the carbon footprint category, Chef Eva is where it's at!

Eva was fantastic as she understood immediately what I was trying to do. On her initial visit she took the time with me to talk about my goals. She is really passionate about food and helping people improve their health through healthy eating. She is super organized and efficient. She did all of the grocery shopping and then the preparation. In dealing with health issues that affects my energy it has been such a huge help to have fresh juices in the fridge that are tasty and ready to go. I plan to continue to work with Eva to continue my health journey toward a vegetarian/vegan meal plan. Eva's willingness to work with you and your goals and likes and dislikes really gets the heart of what it means to work with a personal chef.
