This review is specifically for "Nurse" Tara Adashev, who handles the practice's laser treatments,…read moreand Office Manager Becca Feldman. Dr. Chris Funderburk himself has been a pleasure and has done great work for me. This review is not about him--he gets 5 stars. I came in for my first laser facial with Nurse Tara Adashev on 2/17/2026 using the Lutronic Ultra system. I had generally great skin but wanted to improve some minor childhood acne scarring and a separate surgical scar. The procedure went well, and I was instructed to stay out of the sun for 7 days before returning to my normal routine. I followed those instructions and had no issues. Three months later, I returned for a second treatment. I was told it would be the same Lutronic Ultra treatment but on a higher setting. Before the procedure, numbing cream was applied to my face and neck. It is supposed to remain on for at least 30 minutes, but Nurse Tara came in after only about 20 minutes and wanted to begin. I told her my face was still not numb and that I wanted to wait longer. She insisted I would be fine and started anyway. The procedure was extremely painful, and I spent much of it squirming with tears running down my face. Afterward, I texted Office Manager Becca Feldman to ask how long I should avoid sun exposure. She told me 7 days. Assuming the post-care instructions were the same as my first treatment, I followed that advice. After 7 days, I went outside wearing SPF 70 sunscreen, a hat, and sunglasses. That turned out to be a major mistake. I developed severe burning and hyperpigmentation across my face, particularly on my cheeks and forehead. Even worse, the treatment left two visible scars on my neck and one on my face near my left temple. After several weeks with no improvement, I contacted the office. Rather than showing concern, I was told by Nurse Tara that I should have avoided the sun for 2 weeks, not 1 week, despite having been instructed otherwise by Becca Feldman via text. I received no apology for the incorrect post-care instructions or for the scars that resulted. I was also informed that I had not received the Lutronic Ultra treatment I requested. Instead, I was told a more powerful CO2 laser had been used. The day before this procedure, my skin was nearly flawless with an even complexion. Now I am dealing with severe hyperpigmentation and permanent facial and neck scarring. After spending nearly $30,000 at this clinic over time, I requested a refund for this treatment and was denied. What has been most disappointing is the complete lack of accountability. No apology from Office Manager Becca Feldman for providing incorrect post-care instructions. No apology from Nurse Tara Adashev. No apology from anyone at the practice. Instead, they kept the more than $1,500 I paid and offered a prescription for skin-bleaching cream to address the damage. Based on my experience, I cannot recommend this practice for laser treatments. The inconsistent post-care instructions, lack of communication, and refusal to take responsibility for a poor outcome have been deeply disappointing. Anyone considering laser procedures here should proceed with extreme caution.

I just needed some Juvaderm...simple. The told me to come on over, and was really patient with me that I got kinda turned around driving in Sheapshead Bay, took a little longer than I thought it would. You may feel a little weird stepping into the elevator on the sidewalk, but, that goes away as soon as it opens on the second floor. The office is beautifully done and the young woman Rebecca (sorry, sp?) is very friendly and welcoming. Great smile, great personality, knowledgeable, and good at helping you relax. I wanted to fill my lips as big as possible, while still looking sexy, not cartoonish. When Dr Kleydman came in the room, i was just blown away. The pictures on her website are pretty, but seriously dont do her justice. She is super gorgeous woman. So, I began to explain what I wanted, and that I had used Juvaderm before in the pillows. I was mostly happy with it, though it is sometimes distracting because its dense. You always FEEL it. She recommended Restylane Define. I said, okay, I trust you, LETS DO IT! I couldnt have even imagined they wouldve looked like this. P.E.R.F.E.C.T. I LOVE HER, and have hence forth adopted her as my sister (at least in my head lol ;) I am so thrilled with my lips. I had a bit of swelling initially, but when that went away WOWWZA. Now Im prepping for the laser treatment. It was so relaxing. Its a gentle laser with NO down time. when it was done, i put on my sunblock and that was it. The next day...O.M.G....the redness in my cheeks and around my nose is almost completely GONE. The texture of the skin at the 11's is finer. Just overall BETTER everywhere. I could not say whether Dr. Sheryl Clark is a good doctor following just one visit. But, what I…read morecan say with certainty, is that she is a terrible businesswoman. Dr. Clark managed to take what was virtually a bookkeeping error following a 10 minute appointment and turn it into two years of aggravation during which she made the worst business choices and behaved as badly as she possibly she could have and directed her staff to do the same. This culminated in my having to sue her in small claims court. I just received a check from Sheryl Clark in full settlement of my claim. If the doctor had just owned up to the mistakes made by her office and herself over the past two years, it wouldn't have had to come to this. Even if she were a capable doctor, I could hardly call her a decent human being. Would you believe the doctor actually tried to get me to sign a non-disclosure agreement just to avoid having me write a post like this. It would serve the doctor well to remember that New York is a city with an abundance of dermatologists - some of whom actually behave with integrity and treat their patients with respect.
