Dr.Flores seems like a nice person, however I had several serious concerns regarding his work. Because I read several positive reviews of his work, we met for the first time in December 2019. During our meeting we discussed the amount of Botox I needed, which he suggested 38 units at $6 a unit and I decided to try the IPL for brown spots at a $100. The entire time we met, I took notes in a notebook to ensure I understood services, process and costs. Dr. Flores started with the Botox and I watched how many syringes he used. Although he grabbed 3 syringes, he only used one, which had a total of 30 units, so I was glad to know the price would be less. He was very rough inserting the Botox and I ended up with bruises all over my forehead and around my eyes that have lasted for 9 days thus far. I actually took pictures. He did a good job on my forehead and eyes
Afterward, his assistant -- who is prickly at best -- provided the IPL service. At the end of my services, Dr. Flores gave his assistant a sticky note listing my costs and said I used 42 units of Botox, which was in conflict on two levels: First, it was different than what we agreed on with 38. Second, it was different than what I saw him use. When I questioned the price, Dr. Flores was in his office with another client and his assistant insisted I pay. I planned to return on Friday and told his assistant I would address it then with Flores in person.
On Friday, my mom and I visited. This time I wanted to work on varicose veins and mom was getting filler in her lip and chin. Dr. Flores bruised her entire mouth and it is still very bruised 5 days later. For my service, I was careful this time to get all of the costs up front and made him repeat it several times. He told me $180 for varicose veins. However, when I went to pay, he told his assistant $200. I went back to him and said, you told me $180 and you over charged me the last time. He agreed, told his assistant to address it and then shut his door. To my surprise, the assistant countered me and I couldn't talk to the dr. This whole experience left me feeling taken advantage of.
Finally, my mom's filler in her chin doesn't look like it filled out. I don't know if he didn't use enough or what happened. However, her upper lip does look decent.
If you decide to work with Dr Flores, a few tips:
1. Watch him take products out of the box so you know that it hasn't been tampered with and it is what you purchased.
2. Watch how much he uses and question him if it is less than you both discussed and confirm it so he knows that you are watching his work.
3. Make him write the costs on a sticky note before he does the work so he can't change the price right before you pay and then conveniently going to his office and shutting his door so you can't ask questions.
3. The IPL laser wasn't worth the $100 - don't waste your money.
4. At the end of the day, find someone you trust who isn't tampering with the product and is honest about how much he is using and charging. read more
