I scheduled a skin cancer screening. The staff was busy. Some even smiled, but no one went out of their way to be pleasant. There seemed to be confusion about who I was. They had my first name correct, but kept telling me I had insurance I've never had, until I asked if my first name was spelled correctly. They then discovered my last name was not the same as the one they had pulled up on the screen. How can you not have a list of patients and appointment times? I paid $60 for this service. It took less time for the doctor to assure me that my skin is good than it did for me to check in. The office is crowded and the traffic pattern is wrong. Assistants and doctors squeezing past in the narrow hallway as patients wait to check out. Medicare used to cover the cost of a skin cancer screening. I did have several questions for the doctor, but was so taken aback that I didn't think about them until he was already out of the exam room. I don't plan to return. Too bad there are so few options for doctors in this town. read more

I don't see how one person gives a five star rating and the next gives a one star. All I know is, I have never been treated so poorly by a Dr. I went in for my "head to toe" and he didn't look at my scalp or my feet. He glanced at my legs and said they were fine. He froze my face in so many spots, it took weeks to heal. He grabbed my head and force my head to angle the way he wanted. He picked my arms up and just dropped them when he was finished. All of this took less than 10 minutes! Oh, he did return to biopsy a growth on my face. That took less than 5 minutes. No questions or time to talk to me. I'm 70 years old and have had a few bad doctors but Dr Zade, at least to me, was the most disrespectful and unkind doctor I have ever experienced. I give his assistant and staff 5 stars. I went to the 25th St. location for a biopsy. Waited 45 minutes past my appt. time to see the doctor, who flew into the room and flew out without talking to me more than about 3 sentences. No time to ask questions, and it turns out I have skin cancer. When the report was posted on my patient portal, I was listed in error as a male. I called the office manager, who covers both offices. She assured me that I could go the following Monday and pick up a corrected report to take to my new dermatologist. When I got there, the report still had me listed as a male but I was told it was corrected on my patient portal and I could print it out from home. It was still not correct on my patient portal. Unless you want to be given the run-around and lied to, treated like less than human, don't go here. Find a good doctor and a better office staff. read more

Dr. Zane was the worst dermatologist I've ever seen... He was not knowledgeable about skin lupus on the scalp , he wouldn't look at my scalp. I asked about a possible steroid shot for the inflammation. disgusted to say the least. My 2 appointments were in March of 2025. The RN or PA was Salvador Alonzo. I went the first time for concerns of dark skin spots. He visually looked and stated "age spots". I paid my $40 copay and left. I remembered I forgot a spot on my shoulder so I made a 2nd appointment. I paid my $40 again and he quickly looked and stated age spot and left the room in about 40 seconds. Now 5 months later I was concerned about my shoulder so I went to an excellent dermatologist in Indiana and of the three spots I showed Salvador she looked at with an instrument and took biopsies. 2 of the 3 were cancer. TERRIBLE experiences at Yuma Dermatology. 1. Incredibly poor "whole body scans" - where the PA simply asks you if you have any areas of concern and then does a VERY cursory glance over your head, legs and arms. I am used to much more thorough scans where my prior excellent dermatologies checked every last inch of my body. THAT is how it is supposed to be done! 2. It is almost IMPOSSIBLE to get to speak with anyone in the office when calling. I am currently on hold for 32:27 minutes (and counting!) at 11:03AM on October 20, 2025, to speak with someone about canceling our appointments (for the third time in 2 weeks...I called 2 weeks ago to cancel our appointments, could not get through as usual, so left voicemails to cancel, twice, yet still receive texts saying confirm our upcoming appointments!) and to pay a bill. Still NOTHING. 3. My wife called while I've been waiting to get through for over half an hour, and selected the Option #4 to Pay a Bill, and the system did not do anything at all. Did not put her through to anyone...nothing. AVOID THIS PLACE AT ALL COSTS. read more

Dr Zade and his staff are nothing less than awesome! You feel very comfortable and never feel rushed. This Doctor has frozen stuff off of me, taken biopsies and now gonna schedule a procedure. Protectiveness equals longevity and quality of life! Yes, the waiting room is small, and yes, appointments run late. But I have also waited 3 hours to board a cruise ship!! So yes, I will wait and not complain, because the Doctor and his staff are the reason I can look forward to more cruise ships in the future! DO NOT USE!!! Horrible medical provider. Start your visit squeezing into a very tiny parking lot. Enter the "tiny standing room only" waiting area. If your lucky you'll get 60 seconds of a PA'S time. Then you're shuffled out a narrow aisle stopping at the "give us your money" window. Full co-pay or office visit payment demanded at this time. Then out to the tiny parking lot where you shuffle to get out. Need follow-up "GOOD LUCK". Call the office and if you're lucky enouph to get thru you're put on hold for at least 40 minutes of elevator music. After which you might reach a "Tech Assistant" who promises to call you back...but never does. Need paperwork done...LOL you're dreaming! Doesn' get done or sent in at all. In short...total waste of your time, Medicare funds, and personal payments. AVOID THIS MEDICAL PROVIDER AT ALL COSTS. read more

If I could leave a zero I would This was the worst excuse for Drs of Dermotology that I have ever experienced. The first Dr that I met with was so busy looking at his watch and rushing through my exam and then telling me to do something on my face that is a dangerous application. Then at my next appointment the next Dr was so rude and condescending and was only concerned with checking for Cancer. He sluffed off my other issues and sent me on my way. I have gone to dermatologists for years and have never been treated like this. They did not address my concerns but just wanted to hurry up and get to the next patient. I scheduled an appointment with this clinic because their website advertises they treat melasma, they state they have tailored treatments, stated they were compassionate. WRONG! I had an appointment with Dr. Zade and he was not in the room with me more than 5 minutes. Walked in, asked what I was there for, I mentioned melasma, his response was the isn't much we can do, and stated I could buy products and pointed to a bar code on a cabinet door and told me I could scan to see the products. I scanned the code when he walked out and it was a website the sells medical grade products so not specific to melasma. He also mentioned the only effective treatment for melasma was laser and stated it was expensive and needed to go out of town. He didn't even look at my skin, he just stood there. So why do they advertise for something they can't treat? And to add, he did not seem approachable. They billed my insurance for $241 dollars for less than five minutes with no treatment. read more

I'm not sure the dermatologist even introduced himself before he started freezing places on my face that I had never had trouble with and without any explanation as to why. The usual spots found and treated by other dermatologists were not even looked at. When asked if I had any other concerns, these spots that had been overlooked suddenly became biopsies! I'm very disappointed in the fact that it appears to be impossible to get through to the office. The calls are SELDOM answered, and now their voice mailbox is full and will not even accept messages. So, I suppose one must now get in one's car and drive to the office to try to get the results of one's skin tests. I've left multiple (polite) messages on their voice mail over the last few days, telling them that I'm returning their call (presumably with my test results) and even got through to someone late yesterday afternoon, but the person who handles the results was apparently busy and would call me back. Another day has now passed, and still nothing. And their voice mail system is full and won't accept any more messages, so I suppose many people are also struggling to get hold of the office staff. read more

I made an appointment for my daughter here because there is no pediatric dermatologist in Yuma, and I needed her seen ASAP but I read the reviews and decided it wasn't the right fit. When I had the appointment made through YRMC, they said I would be getting a registration email/text within the next few hours. Well, I didn't get a registration email until I called them about it. They sent me one and 3 different links I was sent didn't work, so each time I called back, they just sent me a new link. Finally, on the last attempt she said to just come in 30 minutes before my appointment to fill out her registration and new patient information. Well I was researching all night about it and decided to cancel the appointment and have my baby seen elsewhere. So when I call to schedule, I'm told my appointment has already been cancelled because I did not register online... After waiting THREE months for an appointment my husband got zero help from the nurse practitioner. We were not aware that it would be a NP when we made the appointment three months ago or we would not have taken it. My husband basically had to diagnose himself, tell the NP what type of medicine he thought he needed, and then that is what the NP did. Shame on me. I should have read all the reviews first. I went to Yuma Dermatology for soreness on my face. Lobby was full of patients, but my appointment was on time. Friendly employees at front desk. I checked in online. The person that checked on me (never caught his name) and his assistant were very professional. He froze the precancerous spots and gave me a body check for other spots. He answered all my questions I asked. I read some negative reviews, but I would highly recommend Yuma Dermatology. read more

The provider I saw was SUPER and very thorough. As I was leaving I remembered an issue that we both had forgotten to cover . Asked the RECEPTIONIST if I could just wait and see my Provider when he was free ( one person in waiting area ) . She did not try to work anything out or make any effort to do so . This place is bad news. I had a small skin cancer on my arm, when I went in to get it taken off and they cut away a lot of skin, they didn't even clean The area before cutting away, now it's badly infected, I'm on pills for infection and a ointment. The nurse put a dressing on it didn't use enough tape after she did tape it up had to remove she forgot to take a picture. Just slapped the same bandage back on came off before I even got home. Asked her for an extra bandage she said they don't give them out I would have to get my own. And if you do go in there check out how dirty it is. read more

We saw Sal Alonzo today and he took a great deal of time with my daughter and was very informative and helpful with his suggested course of options, included her in her care (despite her being a minor) and very forth-right with my questions. I feel like we got in and out and were not barraged with covid questions, athough the office was clean and above reproach in their health precautions. We are very pleased with the quick but thorough visit and friendliness of the office staff, along with attention and suggested help with our skin issues. read more

My mom is 93 years old and went to Yuma Dermatology office to have some spots on her face that may be pre-cancerous moles. Dr Alonzo sprayed some spray out of a can that freezes the skin so the moles can fall off. It looked like the spray you use to clean your keyboard. He did not put any numbing cream or didn't give her anything for the pain. As soon as she got to the car her face was so painful that I went inside to ask if they had something to put on her face to relieve the pain. Dr. Alonso just said don't worry the pain will go away in five minutes. It did not go away and she was in pain the whole day and the next day. Her face swelled so bad it blistered, and swelled for five days. The doctor is a quack, do not go to him. my dermatologist in San Diego said that's what happens when you go to dermatologist office that deals with only insurance. If that is true then That's pretty pathetic that they can't treat you better just because you are an insurance patient. I will never take my mom back to this office. I would rather take her to Mexico than take her back to this savage that doesn't care. read more

Worst experience I've had with this practice Yuma Dermatology specially with Alonzo Salvador worst so called " dr at dermatology specialty, took my 11 yr old daughter for a cyst check up and all this idiot did just kept giving her shots on her cleavage area by her cyst, ended up not helping at all she's still very sick and that incompetent Dr didn't do nothing for but prescribed her medication and gave gar shots that did nothing good for her. Now she's battling a bad infection she developed over her cyst, all of this situation could of been prevented if this stupid Dr would of helped my daughter, now at this moment I'm at the hospital, she had to go through emergency surgery and still hospitalized because of severe infection. Please don't go to this practice this Dr doesn't do nothing to help patients. The FNP we usually see is amazing, you might not be as lucky as we are. Very friendly and thorough however you get booked for an appointment and wait over an hour to be seen. Not enough seating or large enough waiting room so you're probably going to wait out front in the sun without shade! Wear sunblock and a hat for sure! read more

The PA they have working at Yuma Dermatology is a liability. This guy will see you (in place of a real doctor) and dismiss your concerns without ANY knowledge of what he's talking about. Case in point: I had a dry, scaly, red patch of skin that I was concerned about. Before I even had the chance to tell this guy how long I've had it, he says, "That right there is an age spot. The beginning of an age spot." In disbelief, I asked him again, "You sure about that?". His response, "There's nothing you can do about those,' so I figured, either this guy's pride won't allow him to admit he's wrong or he really is clueless. Either way, coming here was a mistake and a massive waste of time. Avoid this place. ( BTW, I finally went to see a real dermatologist and guess what? My skin condition is psoriasis, which is fairly common.) read more
