This is the only park in Tracy with a outdoor pool in it. I use to bring my kids here often when they were little. Now I bring my dogs mainly because there is a lot of shades in this park. It also has a huge tennis court. read more

Adult Tennis Players Not Welcome The City of Tracy has decided to allow youth tennis instruction from a non-certified and unqualified tennis instructor at Dr. Powers Park. This "instructor" was allowed to reserve ALL three tennis courts for three-hour increments on the mornings of every Saturday and Sunday which is the prime time working tax payers of this city have a chance to play tennis. While I encourage young tennis players to take up the game I question why this youth tennis needs to take all three courts, one of which is never used, for the weekends with no exceptions? Why should the very people that pay for the city parks not be allowed to use them while others benefit financially? Why would the city allow the domination of a public facility on prime usage hours? Why not limit the youth instructor to one of the two weekend days, limit the number of courts actually USED or at least move the hours to more favorable times? When asked even the parents of the children in these classes do not agree with city policy. The city official/s that set these policies are clearly not listening to the public or simply don't care. They should be carefully scrutinized for their ability to continue in that role. read more

This is the first time I am playing tennis with the TB this year. I love it when he invites me to play..its my game and I know he takes pleasure in seeing me smile when I am doing things that I love. Thanks to Ken and his mechanic down at Back Roads Custom Cycle for giving us the directions to the closest tennis court. There are 3 courts, sad thing is it is not maintained and there are hella cracks. Its the first of the few sunny afternoon in the Bay area in a while and what better way for us to spend a good afternoon together than whip each other's a*s...on the court. If we are in the neighborhood and the weather is right, I am sure we will play here again. read more

Terrible place to have a birthday party or to take your children for the day. Nothing but homeless people there. They were sleeping on the grass and and asking for food. Won't be going back there. read more

I have never loved human beings as much as I love the guy who runs the front desk. He's such an animated and genuine character. The best part of my day is bringing my kid to swim lessons just so that I can see the guy up front. He makes me so happy. The manager(I believe her name is Megan) is super cool too. We are here at the pool they just opened up and I have to say this will be the last time we come here. I put my son in his regular plastic arm floaties that he always wears with his innertube and the lifeguards made us take them off...the reason? Becuase if the floaties pop and no one sees him go under, then that would suck...lifeguards words...now I have have my 15 yr old daughter with him and holding him, he is not by himself so if the floaties do pop, she is there. So I responded with, so he can't have plastic floaties in case they pop but its perfectly safe for him to be in the pool with NO floaties at all...how does that even make sense?! He just replied with, well then you just got to hold onto him....SMDH! that's exactly what we are already doing with the floaties!!! How are you going to he conslcerned with drowning by plastic floaties popping but not be concerned at all when toddlers are in the pool with absolutely no floating devices... What is that damn difference? Not only that but no where in the pool rules does it state that you cannot have plastic floating devices. This place is a joke....would not recommend if you have small children read more

I am in love with the staff of this pool. It's understandable that plastic air filled flotation devices aren't allowed in the deep end because they aren't coast guard certified so they have no proof they will work or hold the air they contain. The staff does all it can to accomplish what u ask of them in the fastest way possible. My kids teacher was a tall blonde guy and he was amazing with my kid. Best money spent ever! read more
