I've visited Waco several times over the years, but this was my first opportunity to tour the Dr Pepper Museum--and I'm glad I finally did. As a longtime Dr Pepper enthusiast, I especially enjoyed learning about the brand's history and seeing how it has evolved over the years. Admission is very reasonably priced, around $10-$12 per person, and children ages 3 and under are admitted free. The museum is well-maintained, clean, and organized across three floors of exhibits and historical displays. Since it's a self-guided experience, you can explore at your own pace. I'd estimate most visitors will spend about 1 to 1.5 hours here, though history buffs could easily spend closer to two hours. After touring the museum, be sure to stop by the gift shop, which offers a wide selection of Dr Pepper memorabilia and merchandise. Needless to say, I left with more than a few items. One of the highlights of the visit is the complimentary soda included with admission. Each ticket comes with a voucher that can be redeemed at the soda fountain, where the drink is prepared right in front of you. It has a slightly different taste than what you might be used to, but I found it refreshing and enjoyable. There is also an additional area with more historical displays and information to browse while enjoying your drink. Overall, this was a fun and worthwhile experience. Whether you're a dedicated Dr Pepper fan or simply interested in a unique piece of Texas history, the museum is well worth a visit.
Fun with the kids at the museum. Had a 12, 8,and 7 year old and looking for summer adventures to keep them busy. The museum is very well organized with lots of nostalgic pieces and fun advertisements to see. Interesting to see the changes in design over the years. After the museum we got the floats and they were tasty and a perfect treat especially in the TX heat. They have some fun flavors of Dr. Pepper items you can also purchase like popcorn and cases of pop. Nice family time and place to escape the heat. Spent about 2.5 hours. Tip- $10 parking right across the street for easy access.
My daughter has been a Dr Pepper fan her entire life, so while we were on vacation, we finally had the opportunity to visit the Dr Pepper Museum. It was a fun experience and much busier than we expected. We really didn't know what to expect going in, but the museum focuses more on the history of Dr Pepper and the soft drink industry than on interactive exhibits. One interesting thing we learned is that the museum is actually a nonprofit organization and is not operated by the Dr Pepper company. We also did the "Make Your Own Soda" experience. It was fun and unique, although it seemed to be geared more toward younger kids. Your general admission ticket also includes a free drink, which was a nice bonus. The gift shop was well stocked with some unique Dr Pepper merchandise that we hadn't seen anywhere else, although it was a little small and could get crowded. Parking was easy and conveniently located across the street for $10. Overall, we had a great time and enjoyed the experience. If you're already visiting Waco, I definitely recommend stopping by. However, I probably wouldn't make the trip to Waco just for the museum alone.
History and Dr Pepper all in one place? Sign me up! Such a cool walk through history. The history of Dr Pepper, Waco Texas, Commercials, and Marketing. Hot Dr Pepper is a thing y'all. Great timing on our part as they were celebrating their birthday. Free Dr Pepper and free Blue Bell ice cream. When you're in Waco swing bye. It's a great experience. Right across the street from Magnolia Marketplace.
The Dr. Pepper Museum is a fun place to check out. The admission is $12 and you get a free small craft soda at the soda fountain shop. I had the IBC root beer and it was delicious. Walking around the 3 floors there is a lot of exhibits showing the history of soda, soda mascots, and merchandise. Be prepared for the crowd and parking. We were fortunate to get the paid $10 parking by the museum.
In all the years I lived in Waco I never actually made it over to the Dr Pepper museum. I have to say it is quite fun and entertaining. My kids loved seeing the old commercials and how Dr. Pepper is made. Finally, it's nice to get free drinks at the end of the tour.
This was an excellent visit today. It was so great learning a little bit of history. I had no idea I would love this place so much. I went here strictly for my husband because he loves Dr Pepper! Everyone here was very kind and helpful. The history of Dr Pepper includes the founders collection and sharing of marbles and on each marble was the second Commandment. Just goes to show you -- "acknowledge God in all you do and he will make your path straight!" He was also very passionate about equal rights for all people and put people of color in his advertisements long before it was acceptable to much of the public. The fact that this soda pop was the first soda pop, even before Pepsi and Coke and was founded right here in our lovely state of Texas , where we're just a little bit closer to God, warms my heart There are lots of very interesting exhibits to see, including the largest Dr Pepper bottle. They have special packages where you can make your own soda pop. They give you a free Dr Pepper with your admittance ticket. The gift shop is very nice, I picked up a lot of nice things in there, including a Dr Pepper shirt. Everyone I saw seem to be having a good time. They have plenty of parking and parking cost $10. We had the best day at the Dr. Pepper Museum!!! We made reservations prior to going for the Dr. Pepper Experience & throughly enjoyed mixing our own Dr. Pepper! We loved the museum, gift shop, & couldn't leave without a homemade float!
Fun place to learn about Dr Pepper and you get a free soda after...well actually it's included in the admission. I upgraded to the large float in the souvenir cup for about $8. I a purist so just went with the Real Dr Pepper. Exhibits are well don't and interesting. Good place to learn about soft drink history in general. Not owned or operated by Dr Pepper.
My kids and I were on a road trip around Texas and Waco was definitely going to be a stop. It ended up being my favorite stop actually. My son's favorite soda is Dr. Pepper so we had to take a stop by the museum. We got there at opening on a weekday so there was plenty of free parking on the street. All of the staff was very friendly. There is a lot of information so be prepared for a lot of reading. There are 3 separate buildings...one is the exhibit, another is the gift store, and the third is the soda fountain, tasting experience, and some more exhibits. But it was a great exhibit about the history of soda, Dr. Pepper, and the executives. Make sure to stop by the soda fountain to get your free drink. We decided to upgrade to the float. I chose the strawberries and cream float and it was so tasty. It's a good thing I don't live closer. Great experience and your wristband gets you entry all day long.
We decided on this stop last minute so we really didn't have enough time to fully enjoy it but as a huge Dr. Pepper fan it was neat to see and experience! We live about 15 hours away and made it a detour on our trip so not likely I'll have the chance to visit again so I couldn't pass it up! Lots of really cool history! You need about 1.5-2 hours to fully enjoy it all. The museum itself is reasonably priced. The overpriced part is the make your soda experience. It's definitely a neat experience I'm glad we did but the cost is too high for what you get! And I feel like you should be able to do the soda experience without the museum admission since it's a separate building. The gift shop was small but lots of fun Dr P stuff. Glad I went and experienced it, but just like everything else, it adds up fast when you have a large family!

They have a lot of interesting information to read. There are 3 floors and the hallways are narrow so be prepared to walk close to the wall. They have an elevator too if you need it. Now my family are the fans, so we stood in a very long line to get a cup of free Dr. Pepper. It's a small cup of the regular flavors that you can get at the store. So we paid $4 extra for a specialty flavor that we couldn't get in a store. I got the diet Carmel cream and hubby got the vanilla cherry. We enjoyed those. We skipped the gift shop we saw a lot of people with bags so they must have good stuff. Overall we enjoyed ourselves.
A must-see when visiting Waco. The history of soda and Dr. Pepper is fascinating, but including the local history makes this trip personal. I enjoyed seeing the original, which had been well used, along with the equipment ads and stories of past company employees. The convenience store space for items sold during different decades. I enjoyed the free soda at the end with the upgrade to a float in a souvenir cup. I did not take part in the two extra tours that could be completed, but both looked like fun. I will definitely do them on my next trip.
This was a neat experience. It was highly recommended and I had no idea about the history of Dr. Pepper. Overall, it was really cool to learn more not only about the soda, but the city of Waco, and the overall history of soda too! I like how the areas of the museum were split up and there was a lot to see and learn. I thought it was going to be a little less historical, more fun, with all kinds of products to try. At the end of the tour you can get a hand crafted soda from one of the soda jerks and I don't know if it was the Texas heat, the fact that it was so freshly made, or that I just hadn't had a full sugar soda in a while but oh my goodness!!!!! I still think about how sweet and refreshing the root beer and Dr Pepper we had were. When in Waco, get a Dr Pepper. read more
This was such a fun experience. We took a speed tour as we got there 40 minutes before closing and were truly there for the gift shop and drink at the end. This is your usual gimmicky side of the road stop that feels very old yet interesting to experience. Bonus Points for the "Lil Sweet" Funko Pop i got to purchase Also shout out to the employees all of them were wonderful, informative and kind. I'll be suggesting this to anyone I know who comes through town. read more

Such a fun museum! For $12 per adult, you can't beat the price and it comes with a free soda! This museum has so much history of Dr. Pepper and all things Dr. Pepper/Keurig. My dad worked for Dr. Pepper/Keurig for nearly 40 years, so this was so fun to see. So many cool artifacts from the beginning of Dr. Pepper to now. The gift shop is so cute with various souvenirs. The soda fountain building is fun! You can pre-book a make-your-own-soda event. We forgot to do that, but it looked really fun. The free soda was a plus. They even have flavors I've never heard of like Diet Caramel Dr. Pepper. Fun thing to do while in Waco! read more

We had a blast at the Dr. Pepper Museum! It was so cool getting to learn the history and see all of the changes through the years. So much information that I didn't even know about. Loved that we could walk through on our own and explore, read, and learn. Entrance fee included a free dink in the sofa shop which could be upgraded. Of course I upgraded to a float. The soda shop was adorable and delish. This was really just a fun way to spend a Sunday. They also have a lab setup (will probably do it the next time) where you can make your own soda! read more
This was a must-see stop for me because My Daughter is the biggest Dr Pepper fan in the world so I had to drop in to shop for her. After a conference in Plano, I hopped on a bus and scheduled myself for less than 24 hours in Waco! I didn't realize that the #Magnolia properties are closed on Sunday, so I found other fun ways to get the Waco hospitality from the moment I arrived. I look forward to returning to Waco for a longer visit! After a fun afternoon with Waco Tours, where they talked a bit about the origins of Dr Pepper, they were kind enough to drop me off at the door of the Dr. Pepper Museum, knowing that I only had under an hour left to see the place that day. I decided to wait on the actual museum until I am able to come back with my daughter so I went straight to the gift shop and bought a few things for her, then I went in to taste a Dr Pepper float. But you have way more choices than just Dr Pepper! it's easy to get overwhelmed, plus I didn't know all the soda flavors so I asked the person at the register what is her favorite and she told me it was the Dr Pepper strawberries & cream so I said yes please! I love any kind of soda float, and this one was really cool because it tasted like a drink version of crunch berries. Despite the sweetness of the ice cream and the soda, it was still very refreshing. It was super cool too that I got to keep the red plastic cup. Perfect pick me up to keep me going that evening! I personally thought the building was beautiful too. Can't wait to come back and see the museum. read more

My family and I had a great time at the Dr. Pepper Museum! As a fan of history and Dr. Pepper, the museum was very entertaining and informative. I enjoyed the old packaging that they display on-site, as well as the interactive aspects. Pricing was $12 per person (adult and child). Although the line was quite long upon entry, we never felt overcrowded by the amount of people walking around. The main portion is 3 stories tall, which each level showcasing different eras of the company. There's a gift shop where you can purchase various merch, including cane sugar Dr. Pepper. The second portion of the museum offers hands on activities and an expanded viewing room. It's definitely a fun stop to check out! read more
I loved this museum. It's 3 floors of a timeline from when it started to where it's all at now. It's very educational and at the end there is an interactive area to make a soda or a flat penny. Everyone also gets a free soda at the end or you can get a discount in a soda float. This is a great place for kids too. read more

If you like Dr Pepper, you will love this museum. It's a tale on industrialization at its finest. There are stories of how the beverage made it worldwide into so many countries. The marketing exhibits are cool to view. Admission includes a small cup of Dr Pepper. It's possible to upgrade to a float, with original Blue Bell. Fun stop in Waco, Texas! I'm a Dr. Pepper enjoyer and many of the people in my group were too. Had no idea that this uniquely delicious carbonated beverage originated from here. There is a LOT to look at and read but we were speed running the museum as there was much to do later on in the day for us. It's about $12 for entry and each ticket comes with a free soda at the end. You can choose any of the standard flavors such as the classic Dr. Pepper (diet or sugared), Big Red (tastes a bit like the gum), IBC Root Beer, or 7UP. OR you can use your ticket to get $1 credit towards a menu upgrade. It's unfortunately one or the other, not both, but oh well! Nice to get a to go cup beverage at the end of our trip. We decided to add in some fall flavor to our diet Dr. Pepper, caramel and cranberry. Cranberry was quite good, but the caramel tasted disgustingly burnt and sweet, even after being mixed, so I'd skip that. The first floor is the entirety of Dr. Pepper's inception as well as the history of soda in general. There's information on the actual factor there, the well/pit where they would toss random trash and other things (lol), and the lives and duties of the workers that made the drink. The second floor is a mix of modern day Dr. Pepper, how Dr. Pepper did globally (huge spoiler alert, NOT VERY WELL LOL), the architecture of the building itself, other historical figures that allowed for success of the company, and a theater room showing various Dr. Pepper commercials asking people the meaning behind them. There is a separate building to the museum as well as a separate gift shop (unfortunately quite overpriced and the designs were a bit bland). In the separate building there's historical Dr. Pepper merchandise, 7UP's history, a room where they do an interactive show (gotta pay extra for this) and the actual fountain drink area. Overall a quick and fun stop with loads of information. PS. Imagine including Dr. Pepper history related to Japan and NOT have a Steins;Gate reference, kinda cringe. read more
This is a really cool experience in the Waco area, especially for Dr. Pepper lovers, such as myself. No, this isn't comparable to the World of Coke, but that's because this museum offers information and history of multiple types of sodas. The museum itself is 3 floors, there is a gift shop, a soda fountain, and a couple extra soda experiences for an extra charge. Don't forget your free small Dr Pepper at the soda fountain with admission! We decided to buy the tasting experience. We were not prepared to play a trivia game but we came out on top!!! It was actually really fun, and we got to taste 6 flavors of Dr Pepper. Highly recommend. read more

Dr Pepper museum at Waco is one of the kind. Waco is the city that we pass by from Austin to Lake Palestine. Since this city have few things on our agenda, this Dr Pepper museum was one of the target. I cannot believe Dr. Pepper origin from this small town. The entrance fees to visit is in the medium but they allow for one Dr. Pepper product drink. You can have them made it on the spot with fresh carbonated water with their flavor. The museum is two floors. They have old time Dr. Pepper bottles with different shapes to current can good. They even have different language advertising short film. read more
Crazy busy during eclipse weekend but likely a lot easier when the city of Waco isn't packed for a special event. A line around the block in the morning but it cleared up later in the day and I was able to see some of the history of Doctor Pepper. (I've already been to the Pepsi pharmacy in New Bern NC.) I wouldn't say "I'm a Pepper" but I can understand why some people are. The museum has plenty of history of this iconic beverage and you can even buy up to make your own mixed soda or purchase a Doctor Pepper float. Gift shop was pretty good too but definitely not cheap. I am a fan of Diet Dr. Pepper and I grew up with my father drinking Dr. Pepper so I wanted to stop here for the nostalgia. We were able to get street parking close by which was nice. There was a line to get into the museum but it moved steadily. There are several floors to tour which is nice. It felt crowded to me which I didn't enjoy. We visited on a Sunday and the Magnolia venues are all closed so that may be why it was so crowded. I enjoyed the soda at the end. read more
If you're curious about Dr.Pepper this is a good place to visit to get some history behind it. Lines can get long and it'd be helpful if they had more than 1 register for everything. Maybe setup an appointment time so they can keep from long lines in the heat. We did the self guided tour but they do offer other experiences.
