Dr. Nirvana was the first naturopathic doctor I saw to treat my severe skin issues after another doctor carelessly prescribed me Accutane. She is incredibly professional, kind and patient. She has the perfect personality for a doctor and upon meeting her, I was excited to work with someone who was truly invested in my health. Her office staff member, Cornelia, told me the $299 initial consultation would be "a comprehensive analysis of your medical history and current symptomology to determine which treatment protocols and labs are best suited for your needs." I was told Dr. Nirvana "conducts extensive analysis inside and outside of the office" which means she wouldn't forget about what I was going through after I left the office. She would research my condition to find me personalized treatments. Unfortunately, I didn't feel like there was anything personal about my care. At the time, I'd never been to a naturopathic doctor so I didn't know what to expect, but after being in the care of several other N.D., I now realize Dr. Nirvana's care was lacking. My first visit was about 40 minutes in length. I filled out the usual patient forms and she examined me from her desk. She recommended getting a food allergy panel test, sold me some of her supplements and sent me on my way. After spending about $395 on the food allergy panel, I returned for a follow up visit to go over the results. She told me everything looked great and that was pretty much it. She didn't really have anymore suggestions after that. Hmmm. I learned - on my own - glutathione is a powerful antioxidant and it could help with my condition. I booked a glutathione IV Therapy session with Cornelia who told me it was $125. After my IV session with Dr. Nirvana, she told me the total would be $175 or $199, can't recall exactly. Either way, it's not what I ordered and for someone who was out of work due to health, these were extra expenses I was not prepared to pay. Apparently, I was given the Mega IV which did not contain the glutathione I asked for and needed. Her treatment room is also a public office and other patients were around while I was checking out and I didn't want to make any sort of a scene so I reluctantly paid the higher price. Also, I don't know how many CCs of glutathione Dr. Nirvana is using but 10 CCs of glutathione from my current ND is $65 so I hope Dr. Nirvana was giving at least 20 CCs of glutathione. After reaching out to Dr. Nirvana again to go over new information I learned, she mentioned fatty acids would help with my condition so I reached out to their office to inquire more about what products she recommends. As soon as I showed interest in a product, their office charged my on-file card, without my permission, and sent me fish oil. Now, this was a HUGE, Red flag because I told Dr. Nirvana via my patient forms that I'm DEATHLY ALLERGIC to fish. To me, this was a sign they really were not paying attention to my specific needs. I asked Cornelia to cancel the order because I DID NOT ask for it nor give permission to charge my card and she says "If you wish to void this transaction we will have to charge for the reversal fees that Square charges for doing so." But, Square doesn't charge reversal fees? She later apologized but it was completely offsetting for her to put an immediate focus on money rather than fair business practices. I wanted to reach out one last time before giving up and I asked if they offered ozone IV Therapy. I never got a response. I'm guessing it's because they don't offer it and were too busy to reply to correspondence that wouldn't lead to a sale. In the end, I feel like I was taken advantage of. My current N.D. at Verve Holistic Health examines me thoroughly every time I come in, recommends treatments and products she usually doesn't carry and has even provided free consultations because she knows I'm struggling financially. This seems more like a doctor who's invested in my health first, and making money last. Dr. Nirvana is in no way a bad doctor but, for someone who's going through severe health issues and/or needs extremely customized care and attention, I would recommend they travel further for an N.D. who has a larger business and can manage every patient with excellency. read more

Foremost, her knowledge of naturopathy goes well above and beyond the "status quo" encountered in her industry. No stereotypical "by the book" here, she will go above and beyond to address ALL of your health concerns. In the beginning, the leaps a potential patient seeking treatment desires takes a few pages of personal information to be completed by hand, but it is worth every minute! It may take all of 20-30 minutes to complete the documents needed for the initial consultation - but, what price is that for HEALTH and HEALING?!?!?! Dr. Nirvana is always there for me as her patient, and again she has changed my life via the natural means available to us here in the USA, sadly so ignored by the FDA and "traditional medicine". Upon receipt of my lab work that Nr. Nirvana deemed best for me at our initial consultation, she followed up with me with an IMMEDIATE SELF GUIDED PATH TO HEALING...and I truly felt a difference for the better immediately! Weight loss, decreased allergies, increased energy - all the while finally sleeping better every night! I must admit that the "self-guided map to healing" that Dr. Nirvana continues to be set forth to me on an ongoing basis, is work on my part each day to get the results. Patients need to remember that Doctors do not heal you per se, they put you on a path YOU MUST FOLLOW! The great thing about Dr Nirvana is she is not only compassionate and very likeable, she is also incredibly knowledgeable and up to date with Naturopathic disciplines.
