So usually I don't like to post bad reviews but I'm genuinely disgusted by the arrogance of "Dr" Li. Clearly the years of work have slowly chipped away at his customer service. My family and I have been coming to his office for years and never had an issue until now. I went to visit to get a new prescription for my glasses. After ordering not one, but 2 pairs of glasses and trying the prescription for about 5 days each pair, I came to the conclusion that the prescription might be wrong. I called the vision center and they were helpful giving me some recommendations but overall recommended I speak to Li. First let me say, he already texted me unprofessionally regarding an order for contacts I put in. I'll go ahead and include that screen shot of him voiding my request for contacts but telling me I have a valid prescription. I'm not sure where this man's mind is, but anyway... when I called and told him who I was, he said "yeah I remember you. I blocked you." I just ignored it cause that wasn't even the reason I was calling. I let Li know that I believe the prescription for glasses might be wrong, and he just said he would charge me for a retest. Didn't even listen to what my concerns were or the issues I was having. Just went straight to the money. My last test wasn't even 3 minutes and that includes the time I took to remove my contacts. Not sure why when there was no one waiting after me. The office was empty. IM NOT THE FIRST ONE EITHER. Ive heard about multiple people receiving rushed tests and incorrect prescriptions from other staff there! He rushes and lacks responsibility, respect, and kindness. It's sad to see and experience especially when it's never been like that before, but there's no way I'll be back in that office. The Walmart staff at the vision center have been really helpful and offered to review not only my glasses but the scribbled prescription from Li. Crazy how the people who most likely get paid less are kinder and more helpful. Find a doctor who will actually care about you. I promise there are some out there that are just as much or slightly cheaper. DONT WASTE YOUR MONEY SEEING LI. In response to his comment: my contact prescription was from your office. I have the paper in hand. My glasses prescription should be good for a year even when you're the one who said "you're prescription didn't change much from last time" (3 years ago) but now you wanna say it's changed too much with the most recent one. Uncomfortable with our convo but can come on here to respond. What a sad excuse for a medical professional. Already found a better office! Everyone else! Check out Sam's Club. There was nothing malicious or mean on my behalf. You were 30 minutes late getting to the office, then gave me my eye exam in three minutes, maybe you should slow down and do a better job so you don't mess up peoples prescription like you did mine. All I asked was for you to refund it, and you basically told me it's not your fault. Actually, Walmart did return the glasses and make everything better which is the only reason that you have not heard from me again because Walmart saved you! So get your facts straight!!! Not everyone has $200 to waste, so hopefully this will steer people to a more professional and accurate eye doctor! read more

I have had a great experience with Dr Mike Li. His staff is very friendly and helpful. Unlike many of the optometrist that I visited in the past, he wants to identify and correct your problem even if means getting surgery instead buying eye glasses. His care has led to a great improvement of my vision. I wish had gone to him years earlier. read more

Been going to Dr. Li for approximately 4-5 years, but sadly, today will be the last for me and my family. In my experience, he's always been the equivalent of a "mow, blow, and go" optometrist, but that was fine to me so long as the prescriptions for glasses he provided was good for my family and I. However, recently, when I be came aware of a new type of contacts, multi-focals, his abrupt personality didn't work for me. Since this was a new type of contact and I had basic questions with regard to whether the blurriness I was experiencing was due to my age, whether my prescription was off, or whether this type of contact just wasn't suitable for my eye condition. When I went to his office, no one was there except him and his wife, so there was no rush. When I tried to ask him questions about the contacts, he was clearly irritated and rather having a conversation, he abruptly just asked me what I wanted him to write on the prescription! So much for a doctor patient relationship. I can swallow my pride with a person being rude, but like hell am I going to keep going there or subject my family to it. Literally the worst interpersonal skills ever. The only reason I am leaving 2-stars is because his wife works at their office, is very personable and clearly tries to compensate for his lack of patient skills. Reached out to a new optometrist today with great reviews on Yelp. When my family and I find a doctor we like, we tend to be with them for the long haul. Just sad it didn't work out in this case. Very incompetent. I'm not sure if he purchased his license or if he earned his license. Dr. Li has absolutely no people skills whatsoever. He fires people left and right or people are constantly quitting. His staff is a revolving door. He wants to charge up your insurance for prescriptions you don't even need. Be aware and you have been warned! read more

I've been coming here for so many years I can't even remember anymore. The front desk ladies are always nice and helpful. I always make an appointment so I don't have to worry about waiting for too long. Which is advisable. Dr Mike Li is super duper nice! He's always been very friendly and he is always really quick when I do my annual eye check up. read more

This was the worst experience ever! I went to this guy at the Wal-Mart in Moreno Valley thinking it would be affordable. He doesn't seem like he knows what he is doing. I have been wearing multifocal contacts for several years now and after three attempts, fittings and a couple of hundred bucks he tells me you just need to have reading glasses in addition to normal contacts for distance. I immediately went to my usual eye doctor (whom I used to think was a bit pricey( and within 10 minutes I was out the door with perfectly fitting multifocal contacts and a perfect prescription. I have been told for years i couldnt have contact lenses I went in there and just mentioned I would love contact lenses but I cant have them within minutes I had lenses, I am long sighted and short sighted and I have a astigmatism, He is amazing funny quick, and knows his stuff. read more

Dr. Li is great. Fastest vision checkup ever, great sense of humor, very easy going and easy to talk to. His front office staff, however, is the WORST. Terrible phone manners, extremely rude, always very condescending towards customers and never willing to EVER go above and beyond as far as their customer service goes. I went to Dr. Li for at least three years, and when I finally had to confer with his front-office staff for something other than scheduling an appointment, it was painfully clear how incompetent and unhelpful they were. NEVER dealing with them again. Dr. Li is a great optometrist and all, but not so great that I would put myself through the annoying ordeal of dealing with his staff ever again. read more

Complete shit! I lost my prescription when I moved which is not yet expired and they refused to send it out to me. Crap customer service! Not to mention my initial visit wasn't exactly pleasant but refusing to send out my prescription so I can order new glasses is just bullshit. I've seen many negative reviews about this place but I would like to thank Dr. Mike Li for a very quick exam. I've been coming here for about 3 years and I will still be coming here in the future, my exam took about 10 minutes and he is always willing to answer my questions & laughs at my not so funny jokes lol Nancy also helped me and my sister out for choosing between contacts & glasses. If I could give 0 stars I would.. you would think offices would want your business but apparently not this one. I went in to have my insurance checked to see if I was covered, they took my name and number and said they would look into it and give me a call. 2 hours later I called to see if there were an update, the nurse at the front counter said she would give me a call right back. An hour later and still no call I decided to call back. Apparently the nurse had just left for lunch. Since then 3 other places have verified my insurance the way I told them it would have to be done. I went back in today just to see what kind of answer I got, and apparently they still didn't hear back from insurance. Really? After being verified at 3 other locations within a 5 minute wait. Learn how to do your job, and if you cant, get out of the business instead of lieing to customers and being lazy. read more

Dr. Li is the most understanding and patient Doctor ever.. I have having problems with my vision and each time I go in, he listens, and tries to solve my problem. Dr. Li is a real asset to the community. I will definately go back and absolutely refer anyone to him. read more

Very unhappy with Dr. Li's service. Went in to get my dad's prescription and paid $58 for MAX 3 minutes with the doctor for a first time visit to get progressive glasses. Very upset with the poor service. He told us my dad has "floppy lid syndrome." When we asked what that was he said here I'll write it down, you can Google it! Are you kidding me? For nearly $60 minutes I expect more than 3 minutes of his time. Not to mention he did not thoroughly check to see what my dads prescription was, how could you that quickly anyways? Dr. Li is the best doctor in town. I made an appointment with him because my old doctor prescribed glasses that were giving me headaches. Dr. Li told me what my eye problem was and explained every single detail of my diagnostic. He really takes the time to explain and find the best solutions for you. If you don't have health insurance, he will tell you what contacts or glasses are cheap and of good quality for you. He is totally worth it! read more

if I could give less than one star I would... he must have paid these people to say nice things about him. this person who calls himself a doctor should have his license revoked... and that's if he has one. we went in to get contacts for my fiancé. the patient before us was in there for all of 7 minutes so we should have realized that was not where we should be. it was the fastest exam ever! none of the is this better? I watched my fiancé get 3 out of 5 letters wrong and the so called dr. thought that was ok... he immediately gave him a pair of contacts to try that he could not see out of... and told him he didn't matter which eye he put them in! well yes it did! he has an astigmatism in one eye... what a quack... after 3 attempts he told us that he thought we had to high of expectations! really? seeing is too high of an expectation? and to top it off his bed side manner was horrible... like we were wasting his time. when he told him so he tore up my fiancé's bogus prescription and told us that if we didn't like him we could leave. which we did. made an appointment with a real doctor!
