I really like Dr. Crear and some of the PAs so it's a shame that the messaging service is not held to a high standard. Honestly, it's like talking to a child...but one who clearly uses AI to polish their grammar. The level of incompetence - with incorrect prescriptions called in and incorrect information relayed - is concerning. I hope they don't have these medical assistants completing tasks that require common sense, like relaying important test results. I know practices are trying to increase profits, especially those practices that are owned by private equity (which this place may be--IDK). But please consider your patients. Don't run a competent practice into the ground by having these assistants do what medical professionals should be doing. Employ some actual nurses to answer patient questions for god's sake, not just "medical assistants."

Then Dr Connor has someone take notes while she listens intently and looks you in the eye so that she can have a conversation and pay attention. She made a recommendation for a lab test that my cardiologist should order for my high cholesterol. I already felt better walking out of her office after over an hour of actually being heard for the first time. She is worth every penny and I will be seeing her exclusively from now on. One Medical is so amazing. Yes, you pay a membership fee, but then, YOU CAN ACTUALLY SEE A DOCTOR. Like, the day you need to. Or, you do a video chat, or send your doctor a message that they actually respond to in a timely manner. The app is also super helpful and efficienct. They have this great feature that you can get immediate help for certain things like colds, yeast infections, or ordering a lab test. You fill out the information in the app, and someone gets back to you right away, putting in the lab visit or sending the rx to your pharmacy. I really don't think I have ever had medical access that is responsive and available when I need it. Their lab is open for drop ins throughout the day, and I have never waited more than 15 minutes to be seen. It is just really excellent service. I hope it stays this way!

I'm surprised there aren't any reviews of her yet - she runs a small practice but she's a big deal. My first appointment with her was last fall. I was overdue for my annual and, like any normal human being, wasn't looking forward to it. A good friend recommended her with a glowing review. My intention was to call the office, just to ask if she was accepting new patients (she only accepts 600-800 so I figured my chances of getting in were slim). Much to my surprise, Dr. Sorensen was the one to answer the phone! That impressed me enough that I scheduled an appointment for the next week. My first impression of Dr. Sorensen was excellent, and things only got better from there. She literally does everything - she is a one-woman staff, which means she does everything from checking your vitals to dealing with insurance. This approach means that you get to spend more time with her, which means that you feel like anything but just another patient. She also takes a conservative approach to medicine, so when I told her about my occasional anxiety, she recommended things like yoga instead of jumping to more invasive/expensive treatments. Best part of my experience with her? I ended up having a bit of follow-up work the next day, and was obviously concerned about the results. She got back to me the next morning to let me know all was OK and thoroughly explain everything. And the day after that, I got my pap results back. That's right...TWO DAYS after my appointment I got my pap results! I'm used to waiting a minimum of two weeks. She called as soon as she got the results because she didn't want me to worry longer than I needed to...wow. If you are looking for a doctor who uses modern technology (online scheduling, mostly paperless, etc.) but won't provide you with the typical, cold doctor's experience, I strongly recommend Dr. Sorensen.

My initial visit was very through and the Dr took as much time as was needed to understand my medical history, make suggestions, ask questions and actually sit down and have a conversation! That is impressive in todays world. Her practice is purposefully small, self-managed and her interest in medicine and people is clearly visible in how she runs her business and treats her patients. I nearly fell out of my chair when I called to schedule an appointment and Dr Sorensen answered the phone herself. Unheard of! She also makes herself available on nights and weekends to answer calls or come to the office in case urgent issues arise. Setting up appts, request of refills, insurance is all an ease due to the excellent attentional to detail & communication. They also have an amazing patient portal which makes communication with Dr Supkay & her nurse very easy. You can also make refill requests & get lab results from the portal. An hour later after talking to the doctor 5 minutes I left with no check up or meds. But they tried to schedule me a second appointment so I could get what I came to them the first time for. Called cheating insurance companies and double charging. Now I have to find a real doctor and take another half day and spend my fuel and time to get a decent soctor. I plan on filing a complaint with the state board of health.

Dr. Ted Lain was my doctor. He was friendly and had a very contagious positive personality about him. His nurse helper was very friendly as well. Everything happened so fast when they shaved off the growth, as well as a mole on my back they wanted to biopsy. Usually getting these procedures done freak me out but I didn't even have the time to freak out bc of how fast and efficiently it was done, lol. I also even briefly inquired about filler injection estimates and he was able to give me an estimate window right on the spot. They called me the following week with the results, and also sent me the results for my records when I asked. I liked this practice and my doc and I would go again :)

Amanda was super helpful! Really good because scheduling or rescheduling an appointment with my then provider, a large hospital clinic network, was a months long wait. My check-in at the North Austin location off of Mo-Pac near Parmer was effortless and very pleasant and my clinical visit with Lorin the Medical Assistant and Stephanie PA-C for the skin check was through and very informative. I was beyond pleased that PA Stephanie was able to examine and treat a spot on my ear that she had concerns with and also perform a procedure on a couple more that required them to be excised off. The visit was really positive and I accomplished so much in 90 minutes from the time I walked in along with directions on using appropriate sunscreen! Sanova Dermatology offers lots of services , so I expect that I'll be back more often than annually for routine maintenance and care at a really reasonable and fair cost.
