I was never contacted about this cancellation, which left me stranded and frustrated. As a result, I had to reschedule for several weeks later. From the very beginning, the lack of communication was evident and set the tone for what was to come. When I finally did have my appointment, I went in with a specific concern: a tooth that was causing me a lot of pain. Instead of focusing on the issue at hand, I was immediately told I needed a root canal and crown. Although this seemed like a reasonable recommendation, they also insisted that I needed my wisdom teeth removed, even though I had not expressed any concerns about them and they were not the source of my pain. Instead of following standard dental protocols--where a general dentist would refer a patient to an endodontist for a root canal and an oral surgeon for wisdom teeth extraction--they insisted they could handle everything in-house. This is a major red flag. A dentist should know when it's appropriate to refer a patient to a specialist, especially when the patient is dealing with issues that require expert care. Endodontists are specially trained to perform root canals, and oral surgeons are experts in wisdom teeth extractions. Despite this, they pushed forward with the idea that they could handle everything. I trusted their judgment, but in hindsight, I should have sought a second opinion. After waiting an entire month for this appointment, I called twice to confirm that I only wanted the root canal and crown for the tooth causing me pain, specifically requesting not to have the wisdom teeth removed at that time. They assured me multiple times that my wishes were noted and that I would receive the treatment I had agreed to. But when the day came, I was abruptly informed that they did not accept my dental insurance and that I would need to have my wisdom teeth extracted elsewhere. The worst part? They didn't even acknowledge that the original reason I was there--the painful tooth needing a root canal--was still unresolved! It felt like they were more concerned with pushing extra treatments than actually addressing the reason I had sought care in the first place. Furthermore, my primary and secondary health insurance policies clearly state that necessary wisdom teeth extractions are covered. When I attempted to clarify this with the receptionist, she snapped at me as if she knew more about my insurance policies than I did--despite the fact that I had spent hours on the phone over the past month verifying exactly what was covered, under which policy, and what treatment was included. It's one thing to mismanage basic communication; it's another to completely disregard professional boundaries, patient care, and the ethical responsibility to make appropriate referrals. I've since reached out to several other dental offices in the area, and every single one has been shocked by the way Dr. Levi's office operates. The poor communication, lack of understanding of insurance policies, and refusal to refer me to the proper specialists has been nothing short of appalling. This has been one of the worst experiences I've ever had with a medical provider. I strongly urge anyone considering this office to seek care elsewhere. This place is completely unfit for providing any kind of quality dental treatment. Avoid it at all costs.

The dentist in charge blamed me for her hygienist's inability to understand the fear and pain I was experiencing. The hygienist was speaking in a loud demeaning voice, which I later found out was the practice of this office, so that all other people, employees and patients, in the office heard what was going on in my visit. I explained that I wasn't numb but did not allow additional anesthesia due to the absolutely painful injections I'd already received. The 4 injections numbed my face, including my nose, cheek next to my nose, and my eye, but left my gums and tongue completely NOT numb. I told the hygienist I wasn't numb. This is when I felt the hygienist began a chastising tone with me, speaking very loudly. I called to speak to the dentist. She told me that I came to the office expecting a bad visit and that is what I got, a horrible experience. I actually prayed that all would go well, that I would be numb, and all would be fine. But that was not my experience. It's been more than 24 hours, and I'm still experiencing debilitating pain. And for my prize, I was given mouthwash that will stain my teeth, according to the paperwork, and an electric toothbrush. I would have rather had an experienced hygienist that was properly trained in calming the anxious patient.

I was in need of a bite adjustment after having a crown recently placed. Hoping for the best, I decided to give this office a call to schedule an appointment. I wasn't sure what to expect, since I've had some unpleasant dental experiences with other practices over the years... Upon walking into the office, I felt very welcomed by Robin (the office receptionist.) The lobby was very cozy, and there was almost no wait time. One of the dental assistants brought me back to the exam room until Dr. Kneib could see me. The assistant was very kind and receptive to my concerns. I didn't feel the initial anxiety that I'd typically feel when going to a new dentist. The exam room was very comfortable, and all of the equipment was high tech. After a short five minutes of wait time in the exam chair, Dr. Kneib walked in. My bite adjustment procedure was thoroughly explained by using modern technology to ensure the most optimal results. I could tell that Dr. Kneib is truly passionate about what he does, which made me feel reassured x100. I never felt rushed once, and all of my questions were answered honestly, and not just 'answered around'. I actually felt valued here. The overall energy and dedication of this practice is wonderful. I wish I would have found this place a lot sooner. For anyone that is seeking high quality dental care, a very educated functional dentist who knows more than just general dentistry--I highly recommend coming here.

They insisted I get a denture more to the fit what they thought I should have instead of what I wanted. I have wore dentures for over 20 years. None of them wear dentures, but they just wouldn't listen to anything I had to say. I even moved out of state and came back for a fitting to make sure they would be correct. They sent me the dentures in a box and pretty much was like good luck the last I heard from them. I'm adding a photo. The denture on the left is what they wanted me to have. The one in the middle is the one that I wanted and this was stressed on my last visit. Lastly, the behavior from Dr. Kneib was sometimes unprofessional and rude. If you ask why I stayed was because I paid for my denture in full. And I felt like I really didn't have a choice. I see why they always have a sign that says taking new patients. Good luck!

I was getting Invisalign through her office that wasn't covered by insurance, so I didn't care. But while I was already there monthly, thought I'd get my routine cleaning. She said I had 20 cavities, because they shined a light on my teeth and apparently it was a special light that could see where cavities were forming. I'd had one cavity ever in 32 years. So I planned to go back to my regular dentist for a second opinion. When I went back to her office for my next Invisalign, they put me in a chair and proceeded to try to "treat" my cavities. I said, you don't take my insurance, I'm here for Invisalign but was startled they tried to do that when I clearly told them I wasn't interested. By the way... 12 years later, still no cavities. My actual dentist laughed at the fact she said I had cavities. She also berated at least 2 staff members and embarrassed them in front of me to the point I felt ashamed for not stepping in and standing up for them. I couldn't wait to be done with my therapy just to never go back because Dr Palermo's care was so cringy.
