Let me tell you about this fellow. First he is a trained Ophthalmologist in India, but since coming to Canada he would have to take another 5 years of training to be called that again. So he took one year to get his Optometrist licence. Let me tell you he was above and beyond every Optometrist I have ever seen. He took his time and taught me things I never knew about my eyes and why things are done they way they are. You can ask him questions and he will give you what you need to get the perfect pair of glasses. I felt thoroughly cared for. He checked every possible area of my eyes to make sure my eyes are in perfect health. He did not just quickly see what my script was and send me on my way. He even made suggestions to save money. If he leaves Costco I will follow him everywhere he goes. The cost was $85.00 compared to the $125.00 cost of another highly rated Optometrist in Surrey. I think you could not do any better. Also he has the consciousness of a man in service to care for people. It's not just a job for him. If you choose to see him you will NOT be disappointed. *****

I will give the owner credit, he did step up to help and saved the sale and experience. Today, 6 months later, I ordered glasses through another store and it turns out the prescription was incorrect. I've worn contacts without issue and now when I compare my old prescription to my new one, it is obvious they made a mistake. I called in and it sure seems like they were unhappy. They asked me to come in to check the glasses and make are the prescription was right. My left eye is clear as can be and my right eye is completely blurry. Even though I ordered using their instructions they now wanted to charge me again for a re check even though my contacts are perfect, but now the prescription for my glasses is wrong. I am simply going to another optometrist and paying them instead. The staff seemed unhappy and the owner wasn't nearly as cheerful as the last time. All I was looking for is someone to honour what they provided. I'm a fair guy, business owner myself and I get it. It's not about the money but the overall experience of unhappy staff and them not being interested in running a practice that backs up what they do turns me off completely.

The staff want to make expensive sales rather than create loyal customers. I would strongly recommend that you avoid this business.

Highly recommended procedure!…read more Early September 2024 after my routine eye exam and contact lens fitting, Dr Sherman Tung suggested that I consider the IPL dry eye treatments available from the team at Eyelab Kerrisdale. Over the past decade, dry eye symptoms including grainy sensations, tired eyelids, circles under the eyes and now bags under the eyes were increasingly concerning. After a follow up initial consultation with the Eyelab IPL team that included assessment, detailed explanation of the procedures over 4 visits spaced 2 weeks apart, and reasonable expectations both my wife and I made the decision that maintaining good eyesight means more than just glasses! Relief from daily/nightly eye drops, un-clogging the oil glands maybe even cosmetic improvements to reversing the dark circles and droopy eyelids had a very strong appeal. The first 1hr visit / treatment wasn't uncomfortable at all. The highly skilled team of technicians and doctors walked me through the entire process and the effects were almost immediate for vision comfort. I drove over 1.5hrs back to our Whistler home that night and that drive alone was a revelation - no more scattered starry oncoming headlights to distract or add to the stress on an otherwise pitch dark mountain highway. Once home, we applied the warm eye compress for 10 minutes before bedtime and surprisingly, that night there was no need for eye drops! Then over the next few days I started to notice the dark circles that had been forming under my eyes disappeared and after subsequent sessions it continues to improve. And the bags that I was seeing under the eyes started to recede and flatten - the skin is still stretched a little, but no more puffiness. The second and third treatments were basically a repeat of the first - a little more intensity but not uncomfortable at all - certainly the results far exceed the few minutes of nominal discomfort. The improvements are incremental and with little added daily effort (heated eye mask before bedtime for 10 minutes) and the results are very, very good. No more dry scratchy eyes, itchy eyes, reluctance to blink, even opening the eyes wider now - the eyes are lubricated naturally as nature intended! I'm looking forward to completing the fourth round of treatment and the annual follow up. This procedure most definitely improves vision and the quality of life.
