New to the area I needed to find a new doctor (I had 10+ yrs with my previous one). Saw them while shopping and popped in. Very friendly! Didn't try to up-sell me. Understood what I wanted. The best part. They were not satisfied with my glasses. I thought they were just fine. So they took it upon themselves to order me a different pair and had me come in to try them on. When I said I really liked them, they gave me the case and said, enjoy the better pair of glasses. read more

Attempted to schedule an eye exam however the phone number posted is not a working number. Not off to a good start!

Dr. Jim and Olivia are terrific and super customer service oriented. I also appreciated getting to meet their adorable Corgis and Shepard who are the best ambassadors ever for this family owned business! Thank you! read more

Loved the care and kindness of everyone at See! Felt very well taken care of. I do wish they had a wider selection of frame brands.

Dr. Cornwell is great.. His wife Oliva is wonderful but doesn't make for a great store manager last time i stopped there they pretty much stopped taking insurance from well about everyone due to the inability to check ot make sure people were covered. It is sad to see they are closing shop now but it did not come as a surprise read more

We had a wonderful experience at See! Olivia and Dr Cornwell are such pleasant and hospitable business owners. My daughter had broken both her pairs of glasses and they were able to get her into a new pair the very same night! AMAZING!! My 3 yr old son also needed an eye exam according to his pediatrician. We were on the schedule just a few days later - which is pretty much impossible anywhere else. Dr Cornwell was absolutely fabulous in dealing with the lil guy, as well as his wife Olivia. They will definitely be our eye care specialists going forward, even though we live in Oak Harbor! read more

Dr Cornwwell is the best eye Dr I have ever had in my entire life. No Dr has ever explained things to me the way he does. He and Olivia are professional, so kind, caring and they truly deserve great 5 Star ratings and success. My family has been going to them ever since they first opened here in Burlington. read more

Dr. Cornwell, Olivia, and his team are the best! Recently they helped beyond what was expected with a problem my wife had. Their actions and demeanor made our week, restored our faith in humanity, and showed how much integrity and honesty they have. I would not hesitate for anyone looking for an honest, compassionate doctor to stop in for a visit with Dr. Cornwell. read more

This is the best eye glasses business on the west coast! Dr. Cornwell and Olivia are wonderful people and go out of their way to make sure you are a satisfied customer! My wife and I only go to them for our eye glass needs and they ALWAYS provide caring, polite, and timely service. When you buy eye glasses from them, they provide ongoing service for everything you manage to do screw up your eye glasses. They have saved my glasses on multiple occasions and saved me plenty of money. You will not be disappointed! Doug LeClair Anacortes, WA read more

During my time here, Olivia proved to be one of the best business owners I've met. She went out of her way to help me find glasses that I wouldn't have to pay out of pocket for. Even when I wan looking at more expensive glasses, she was like, "Nooo! You don't need to pay that!" I even heard her offer to drop eyeglasses off at a client's business since they stopped by early and they weren't ready. She is also very patient with customers when explaining things and has a lot of industry knowledge. And, look at this amazing, adorable packaging. She did this for everyone! There were so many cute little eyeglass gift bags for all of her customers. read more

Lovely staff and professional. Just quality human beings I enjoy interacting with. Also, they doted on my daughter and made her first glasses for her, as a child, completely something to be excited about; and for me, as the parent, reasonably priced and encouraged that we found kid-proof glasses. I'd personally been their customer already, and was glad to be able to take my daughter there. read more

very thorough and thoughtful! the staff is very friendly and ready to help! the location is very convenient, in the fred meyer complex.

My normal optometrist finally broke the news that I could use some glasses to ease the stress on my eyes. Unfortunately, the selection of frames started in the $100 range, which drove me to to finding this gem! As I said on my tip, I could spend a day just chatting with the folks that work here... and I'm certain I'm not the only one that feels that way. From the short experience I had here, I noticed that you're not just a customer... the staff treats you as if you were a regular, and if you weren't, you'd end up wanting to be one! I came in needing reading glasses and was prepared to get just that and pay way more for a pair of glasses I could've picked up at a local drug store. Instead, Paul took the time to contact my optometrist, got the right 'scripts and knocked out a pair of glasses that are comfortable to wear and most importantly, easy on the eyes! Olivia also helped with picking the right frames! She said I looked smart and athletic... I knew she was lying, but I'll take the compliment! (JK Olivia!) Like I said, I have a different doc, but I did get a chance to meet Dr. Cornwell and his 2 little corgis! If I could do it all over again, I'd strictly deal with this shop, however, I do like my current doctor. They'll just have to share my business! read more

I was very pleased with the service I received at See Eye Care and Wear. Dr. Cornwell is a true professional in his field and comes highly recommended. I received my contact lenses for $90.00 less that 1800contacts. I will refer everyone I know to this wonderful local business. They specialize in that personal touch that's so difficult to find these days. read more

Wow! What a great place! I was visiting my mom and lost my glasses. I called a dozen places before I found SEE EYE CARE AND WEAR. They were friendly, professional and efficient! I was able to walk out with a temporary pair while they make my permanent pair! So happy I can drive and get around now. Everywhere else I called said it would be 1 to 2 weeks before I could have a pair of glasses. Thank you so much for taking care of me. read more

Dr. Cornwell is smart, friendly, and talks to you not down to you like some doctors. He switched my contacts to a less expensive brand that I actually like better! I give the guy 110% thumbs-up rating---even if he does rent space inside Walmart. Have moved to Seattle so used a trip to my favorite eye doc as an excuse to visit Chuckanut Brewery. Best beer in the state! read more

Besides the quick and efficient services they provide and the affordable hardware they sell, what is important to know is they are a part of this community. This isn't a corporate money machine; this is two people from this community that goes up and beyond to provide affordable healthcare to the people that live here. If you are one of the few that still hasn't converted, I promise you, you won't be disappointed. I have been a patient going on two years and every single person I have referred to them feels the same way I do. They are good people with passion and talent. Many thank you's to Jim and Olivia for there love and dedication. read more

Wow, what a great experience! I have four boys and the atmosphere is so soothing in the office that there were no issues with trying to keep them from trying to touch everything, they all loved their exams, and the doctor was amazingly patient with all of them (ages 2, 6, 8, 14)! I love that it only took two days to get our glasses, and it felt like Christmas when she gave us them in gift bags with candy too!! I don't like having to pick our glasses for myself, and Dr. Cornwells wife was so helpful, I think I fell in love with the first pair she gave me to try on!! I'm so glad I found them and my kids all loved their visit, too bad it is only once a year :) read more

I'm new to the area and stuck with the task of finding new doctors, vets, etc. I came to Yelp to find a new eye doctor as well. I can say I was very pleased to find Dr. Cornwell's office. His wife is greeted me immediately when I walked in and let me know how long it would be for my appointment. She then spent a good amount of time helping me select frames. She will not let you leave without the right pair that suits you! The doctor was very nice and answered any questions I had. Overall very happy! read more

By far the best experience my husband and I have ever had for glasses! This staff and optometrist are fantastic and make you feel special the entire time. They also help you decide on frames that fit your style, face shape, and personality which I loved! Our glasses were ready in 30 minutes and were wrapped in a super cute gift bag. By far one of the best optometrist office I have been to. They have a good size collection of frames and great prices! Dr. Cornwell was very polite and was easily able to answer every question I had. Olivia also went above and beyond her duties, she was very courteous, and patient with me and my girlfriend while I tried on many different pairs. We were even able to get an eye exam, new lenses and frames, all in the same day! We will definitely be back and we'd like to say thank you! To Dr. Cornwall and Olivia for making our day! read more

I went to see Dr. Cornwell for the first time back in 2012 when he was the optometrist for the eye clinic inside WalMart in Mt. Vernon. It was my first time ever seeing an eye doctor and I found him to be very kind, calming and relaxed- which made me feel at ease. He was very quick and helpful and I enjoyed the experience. At the time I had only gotten glasses and was not ready to get contacts. I called back almost a year later to make an appointment to get contacts and was told he had opened his own private practice. I was thrilled and called over to See Eye Care & Wear immediately. They were able to get me in the very next day. When I went in for my appointment I was instantly drawn to the selection of well-priced frames; ranging anywhere from $20-$200- whereas most other eye clinics only have frames that start in the $75 range and can go up to as much as $500. Although I had not come in looking for new frames Olivia was so wonderful and helpful that I plan to get a new pair when I go to pick up my contacts. She helped me look at frames that would compliment my face and style and I so appreciated her genuine input. She was not acting like a typical 'salesman'; trying to push pricey frames on me when I didn't need them. She just kindly complimented me when I was trying them on for fun and naturally it turned into sale. When I was done with my exam Paul helped me to get fitted/trained on wearing my contacts. He was extremely professional and kind during the whole process. My husband had just recently gotten contacts from another clinic and when we were comparing notes about our "training" I found that Paul was much more informative and helpful than my husbands 'trainer' had been. Upon checking out, I felt so at ease and comfortable in the office. The working relationship between Paul and Olivia is fantastic- you can tell they give each other a hard time, all in the spirit of good fun and co- working together. You really do feel like a 'regular' there, even if it was your first appointment. I can truly say that I am excited to return this week for my follow up appointment and look forward to my next visit. I plan to recommend this clinic to all of my friends and will most definitely be switching my Husband over to see Dr. Cornwell. Thanks See Eye Care & Wear! Can't wait to come back. read more

I really, really wish that I had the wonderful experience that the other reviewers have had. But sadly my experience has been the complete opposite. I ordered two pair of glasses, computer and progressives. It took two tries to get the prescription correct on the computer pair and the progressives have never been right. I went back and looking through the testing machine my vision was sharp but the glasses just aren't. Finally I got tired of trying to make my case and left with a pair of glasses that just don't work well for me. In addition the small rubber pads on the nose piece keep failing. Each trip to the mainland costs another ferry fare and a half day wasted. This has been the worst experience that I can remember in my almost 50 years of wearing eyeglasses. read more

This was the best eye care visit I've ever had! I left so happy & excited about my 2 new pairs of glasses. Dr. Cornwell was so nice & thanked me more than once for coming in. The eye visit was quick & painless. The staff was very kind & fun! I was having a hard time making a decision without my daughter there to help me, since she just moved away, I thought I was going to need to send her selfies to make a decision, , the lady was so good at helping me decide & being honest about what looked good & what she thought didn't, but at the same time letting me make up my mind also. Then they found out my insurance wasnt good for another 2 months so I told them I was going to have to wait but they made it work for me to get my glasses that very day . So they got my glasses ready in 20 min, but then I had to go to work & couldn't wait for the other pair to be ready, I told them I could just pick them up the next day, but the lady insisted on dropping them off for me at my work when she got off work. WOW! I am totally impressed with their customer service. The other thing I loved was how modern & up to date the place was & there were so many cute up to date frames to choose from some very affordable also. It makes wearing glasses fun! I am already thinking it would be fun to get another pair sometime in the near future because they are so affordable. read more

I just had my first experience getting glasses at this location, and it was so quick and easy! The staff was great. I'm one of those people who likes to be left alone while I shop, and they clued into that, while also being available and friendly when I did have questions. They also gave me a killer deal, and my glasses will be ready in the next day or two. So much faster than my last optometrist location! read more

If I could give them 10/5 stars I would! And I haven't even went in yet! Olivia saved me when she helped me get contacts the Friday before I left for a week long trip to LA after they were already closed! She went above and beyond to help me get what info I needed to her and she also taught me my rights as a patient when it came to dealing with a pain in my butt ex-doctor. I can honestly say I've never been more happy with my customer service at a business. Their a family that will take care of you like family. Much love for this place!
