A subcontractor's "footprint" on my front yard

I am not an owner of a D R Horton house, but my experience with the builder is anything but positive. D R Horton is building a house across the street from me and I have yet to see a site supervisor. As such, there is no supervision of the subcontractors, who have parked in front of my mailbox, preventing me from getting a time sensitive delivery. Additionally, the subcontractors have left deep ruts in my front yard, as well as damaging my sprinkler system. I have called several times, having to leave messages due to the lack of a direct contact, and have yet to hear back from the builder. From what I can see, D R Horton motto is "Generate Revenue" and forget about quality or building positive connections to the neighborhood.

I purchased a brand-new house seven months ago, and since day one, I've had issues with the roof that still haven't been resolved. Master bedroom was leaking and they do not care about it. Based on my experience, I do not recommend buying a house from DR Horton.

Main shut off value completed rusted and half buried

Spent the day with "joe" the superintendent at the woods at Lindsey place. He spent the afternoon baffling us with BS. Lines like we don't have to follow the building code in Anna. Explaining they don't need to follow the 2017 IBC adopted by Anna. He doesn't need to install gfci's or he doesn't need to Installed kickout diverters on roof to wall surfaces. When the driveway was poured 2" lower than the garage floor joe says it's ok. The hvac drain pan was full of standing water but it's no problem. Joe refused to have the hvac guy come check it out, only wanting to dry it with a towel. Avoid this home. 2000 sue ellen Anna

I was accused of ripping this off!

I agree with everything everyone on this page said!!! If you are reading this, RUN!!!! The purchase of this new ASGi home started off so great! Yes, it was an opportunity to purchase an affordable home in a great neighborhood. The house WAS great and all was well during the closing walk-thru. However, a week later, I notice that the concrete on the patio had been chipped. I knew it had to have happened while they were building the house next door, especially since I had not moved in yet. I immediately brought this to their attention and was told that they would not fix it because I had to be living in my house and not renting it out; I had voided my warranty. WHAT?!!!! No one was in the house and it was purchased by ME, so it was a blatant excuse to not fix the problem they caused. A week later, I noticed that the back door threshold was beginning to warp into a C-shape. It had not been put down correctly. Again, they would not fix it. Later that same week, I noticed a hole in my lawn! Without my permission, knowledge, or consent, they had come and moved my fence! They were completing build on the house next door and apparently wanted the fence to match up. I was able to get in touch with Mike who informed me that they were just bought out by D.R. Horton and maybe things would be better. Mike said he'd fill the hole, but I think he just moved a piece of sod and placed over it. By this time, I was just frustrated. To make matters worse, every time it rained, water was coming in through the back door due to the warped threshold! I contacted D.R. Horton and they agreed to fix it. Cory met me at the house and said he'd get a new threshold. Four days later he brings a threshold that does not match or fit. He claimed they ordered the wrong one. Three days later, Jacob contacts me. Apparently Cory resigned. Jacob says he'll replace the threshold. However, when he shows up, he's carrying a freaking door sweep! He didn't know what the hell was going on! He claimed that he'd place an order for the correct threshold. While he was there, I showed him a cabinet door in the bathroom that just fell apart after being opened. The next day I get a text stating that they will NOT replace the threshold nor fix the cabinet. To add insult to injury, they accused me of pulling up the threshold and ripping off the cabinet door! What idiots! Who in their right mind would buy a new home and start ripping off doors and pulling up thresholds? Make it make sense!!!! Mind you that no one had been living in the house AT ALL! The bottom line is that this company and their so-called warranty is horrible! You get people in these homes made with shotty materials and you don't follow through on making sure your customers are taken care of afterwards. For months I complained about the threshold and water coming into the house and your excuse to not repair it was to blame me! Shame on you and I would suggest that NO ONE buys a home from you ever again! Insulting and accusing your customers is the WORST customer service!!!!

Wall chips

Worst quality builder I have ever seen. They use all the cheap material and don't cover most of the stuff under 1 year warranty even though they its covered before signing up. Less than 2 years walls chip have cracks. Never recommend to anyone. Rejected flooring requests, and did not fix the AC ventilation issue under 1 year warranty.

Photos of the first winter in this 7 month old house. I don't know if this is poor quality materials or shoddy workmanship, but in either case, this is VERY DISAPPOINTING for a $300,000 home. Living in 35* below freezing weather is even worst when your newly built D.R. Horton home isn't well insulated.

DR Horton, it's time to rethink this building business. Cookie cutter homes at best. Not a good investment.

Although we had some delays in our home building process due to COVID, our sales rep Andrew Troupe was so detailed and helpful from start to finish.

We discovered it had been leaking for quite some time and there was extensive damage inside the walls. We interviewed six companies. When we met with Mike he was on time and professional. You would think that would be the standard for any company that wanted your business. I can tell you it is not. We spoke with Mike about repairs and waited for a proposal. We received the proposal same day. We hired Mike and his team to began the daunting task of trying to fix what had been neglected by previous homeowners for years. Robert showed up on time and ready to work. Robert and the guys worked tirelessly day after day to get the job done. There were several add ons and small changes that we made and the team was happy to help. We had intended to only update the shower but because of the outstanding customer service and pricing we decided to move forward with the rest of the bathroom. By the time the job was done my family and I were accustomed to seeing Robert, his son and Mitch show up at 8am on the dot. My wife and I made the joke we would miss having them around. In closing let me say this. Quality work for a fair price is difficult to find these days. I felt comfortable with Home Builders Elite working in my home and around my wife and children even when I wasn't around. The team did a great job and an amazing clean up when they were finished. I have already recommended them to several of my neighbors who have damage from the winter storm. Thanks again Home Builders Elite for the great work and we look forward to working with you guys again on future upgrades.

Michael and his crew are awesome, they are professional, respectful and honest people…read more they replaced the fascia & soffits for me, installed soffit vents, also replaced the rotten wood over the patio. i'm very satisfied with the work they did. i would definitely recommend them to others.
