It was a pleasant experience and Daisy did a wonderful job with my hair and the massage. The service started with a scalp analysis. Daisy was very patient in explaining how to best take care of my hair and took great care in blow drying my hair after the service. If you are like me and one of your favorite parts of getting a haircut is having your hair washed, the 90-minute treatment was the best, most thorough version of that. The atmosphere was clean and kept calm with dim lighting in the treatment space and typical massage music playing. Elaine did a great job checking in with me about the pressure and water temperature throughout. I appreciated how she took her time and how kind she was. If I were to give one critique, I have curly hair and was nervous what it was going to look like afterward, and my nerves were justified in the sense that my hair wasn't dried and styled properly for my hair type. I appreciated the use of a diffuser and curly hair products but those were used after my hair was fully dried and combed through dry, which is not curly-hair friendly. However, I don't feel this is worth giving less stars for because I didn't go for a styling service and was given exactly what I came for. Overall, I would highly recommend this treatment! read more

I was actually really impressed with my experience at Dr. Headspa. My friend and I both got the Boutique Spa Package, and everything was amazing. The treatment itself was relaxing, and I honestly would've given this place 5 stars, until it came time to pay. The Boutique Spa Package was priced at $105, but I was charged $107. I didn't think much of it because I assumed the extra $2 was just a debit card processing fee. What really upset me was how tipping was handled. It felt like tipping wasn't optional, it felt expected. My friend was basically being pressured into tipping, and the employee helping her was putting a lot of pressure on her to leave one. Then it was my turn. I told the employee I'd be tipping in cash, and she seemed fine with that. But when I handed her the cash I had, she looked unhappy. She even walked over to another coworker and started talking in their language. I don't know what they were saying, but I can tell by their expressions and body language, it definitely felt like they weren't happy with the amount I tipped. I decided to asked the employee, "Is there a problem with the amount I'm tipping? Were you wanting more?" She immediately changed her attitude and smiled, like she was hoping I would give more. I told her that was all the cash I had to tip, and after I said that the dissatisfied attitude came right back. My friend and I left feeling pretty uncomfortable. I completely understand that tips are appreciated, but they should never be expected. A tip is optional, and customers shouldn't feel pressured or judged based on how much they choose to leave. It's honestly disappointing because the actual spa experience was great, but the attitude we received over tipping completely ruined our first time head spa experience. read more

The staff is really lovely and we're very nice in being patient and waiting for my party to arrive. I went to get a head spa for an hour with my sister and upon arrival they sit you in a seat to check your scalp and show you how dirty it is or go over with you what your scalp needs such as more moister what can help with dandruff or reason for loss of hair. Then they take you to the back for your head spa in which they shampoo you and do the whole treatment of scrubbing your scalp and boy do they scrub it. Once done you return to the chair in where they check how your scalp should be fresh and clean and they will then blow dry your hair and do or ask any other added things that might help your hair or scalp. It was a cool experience but unless you have issues with your scalp I don't really think it's really needed but the neck and head massage was amazing so for sure would recommend for those who need it or those who will take this as a spa day other than that I dont think it's really needed read more

My husband and I went the day before Valentine's Day to celebrate together. The experience was amazing! We got the upgraded spa package and facial each. It was so relaxing, so cool to see our scalps and what they needed, and Dora was sweet and accommodating. She noticed that my hair has a natural curl to it so offered me the diffuser and curl products, and they noticed that my husband's hair is thinning (shh don't tell him) so they used a hair growth serum on his scalp. I am giving them 3 stars, because from the moment I walked in they started asking for more money! I was supposed to pay 100$ for my scalp and head massage! Then they said I had dandruff, which I did, but they charged me an extra 20$ for the use of some special shampoo. Then as soon as I sat down the lady started asking me for 20$ for a facial! When I was paying, the lady started charging me for more money! I felt they were ripping me off! When I said I didn't want to tip, because I felt that they are charging me for extras anyway! The lady started telling me: "are you sure, didn't we do a good job?" She also said that the amount i am paying doesn't include tip! I am not a cheap person, I always tip when I do my hair or nails. I called the day before to make my appointment, they said my therapist would be Summer. After reading their reviews I didn't see any for Summer, so I called back and ask to be seen by Dora, they said she was off the day of my appointment, I then asked for Daisy, because she also had good reviews. I was told ok, Daisy would be my therapist. The shampoo and massages were nice, and relaxing. After my service the therapist said her name was Summer. I thought wow they lied to me and gave me who they originally wanted to in the first place. This was very disappointing, I felt duped.
