I had family show from out of state with a fifth wheel trailer and had no 30amp service for them, and Mark had it done that Saturday morning. Above and beyond is an understatement. I would recommend them wholeheartedly.

I was presented with a diagnosis, given ranges of reasonable options and never nickel and dimed. The entire staff were awesome. From Sydney on the phone, Nathan doing the original inspection and estimate to Daniel and Marshall who did the work on time, on budget and with transparency. Stephen, the owner of Seltec, is a prime example of what hard work, determination, and outstanding…read morework ethic, looks like. We had Stephen install a Kohler 26kw generator in March and couldn't be happier with the final results. Stephen explained everything, from the selection of pipes used for the gas line, conduit for the electric lines, the updates he made in our control panel, and why he chose what he did. Along the way, Stephen also noticed a multiple "out of code" items that the previous homeowner fiddled with and corrected them, without charging extra . Upon inspection time by the city, the inspector signed off on everything, with flying colors. Placing a generator in the backyard is the easy part, however, running 100 feet of gas line on the outside of the home, under patios, with dozens of angles and bends, is where having Stephen, along with his thought process, is a must. I received 3 quotes, including Seltec's, before making the decision to proceed with Stephen. One of the quotes was astronomically high, using an inferior brand generator, while another quote was about similar with Stephens, however, the similar quote was also using an inferior brand. Kohler appears to be a superior generator, in regards to quality, sound suppression, maintenance, and warranty. The fit and finish, from the generator itself, to the installation process, is top tier. He's respectable, engages in conversation on what he's doing (either from me, or my 12-year-old son, polite, and even more important, honest. He's upfront, educates, does exactly what he says, doesn't take shortcuts, and believes in his product. I'd hire him again tomorrow, if I was to do it all over again.

We hired Stephen at Seltec to install a new Kohler generator. We replaced our old Generac unit, and…read moreStephen figured out how to use the existing Generac transfer switch with the new Kohler, saving us thousands of dollars. None of the other dealers I got quotes from would do this... Instead, they all wanted to sell me a new switch. Not only did Stephen give us a very competitive price that beat all the others, but he is a master electrician and knows his stuff. We got our new Kohler installed months before the other dealers could even get the parts. I highly recommend this dealer as we are pleased with the product and service. Based on hours of research, we went with the Kohler brand because the engine is made in the USA, whereas Generac engines are made in China. I've also seen enough reviews of people who purchased a new Generac, and the engine blew up on the first start. They have some significant issues, and so for us, Kohler was the clear winner, and combined with Seltec doing the install, it was all very smooth. Thank you, Stephen, for everything!

I must say two hours to install a thermostat is more than I thought a professional should take for what I was told by the person answering the phones at Ki, "is a pretty simple job". My electrician seemed to be interested in broadening his skills with fireplace inserts more than just doing what he was hired for and at the end of two hours told me he just cant figure out why the thermostat he installed wasn't working and that I should just call a fireplace insert retailer and have them come figure out what my problem is "they understand these things better than I do" he said. So when I said your going to charge me your full rate even though you will be leaving me right where I was when you got here? He responded with it was my time spent here but let me look it over once more. I must also let you know that during his two hours with my ill mother and I watching his work progress we were given a lesson on his religious points of view, witch my mother and I took with a grain of salt so to speak "being rather private about our religious beliefs", but listened just to keep the work moving any way. Well rounding out his two hour stay he noticed that the power button on the insert was turn on and when he turned it off," the lord has shown me the way" he says. And wrapping up his sermon for the day he brought me my bill with change for the $245.00 fee for hooking up my thermostat. I was thrilled that it was working but I cannot recommend Ki Electrical services because I would have preferred a quiet electrician that spent his time doing what I was paying $135 an hour for. Mark
