Tina likes to randomly delete text messages from less than a week ago and then act confused and annoyed when you follow up a few days later, as though I was the one who deleted all the context of our conversation instead of her. You see, Tina is an unfortunate combination of mean and stupid. She lacks reading comprehension but still insists on only communicating via text, and then she will misunderstand what you wrote and get rude about it. I had two lamps needing repair. I initially contacted her about a floor lamp, a modern bridge lamp with a broken connector. She told me that part was not able to be replaced but she could sell me an antique bridge lamp base to use with my stained glass shade. I was disappointed and unsure if I wanted to do that or not, so I asked for photos. She sent over very poor photos that did not show the base in its entirety. I responded that I wasn't sure how it would all look together because I couldn't see the whole thing at once, and she cut the conversation short. Whatever, I wasn't sure what to do and I got busy so I didn't respond back right away. Four days later, I decided I should probably just buy the base, so I sent a message asking if the base was still available. I also asked if there was any way she could help with another lamp that I nearly finished putting back together, but there were a few parts that I could not quite figure out where they had gone before. Being a lamp repair business, I thought this was a reasonable request, but apparently I was wrong. I've attached those messages in their entirety. Don't even bother trying to work with these people. They will shame you for asking about lamp repair and make everything about how much money they can earn.

After doing some research on handymen in Elk Grove, JL Handyservices with it's perfect reviews populated at the top of my Yelp search results. I immediately called Jason Le (owner) and scheduled an appointment for him to visit my home and provide me with a quote. A few days later Jason promptly arrived to do an inspection, shortly after the inspection he sent me a text with the quote. For the installation of two recessed lighting cans - one in a bathroom and another in a walk-in closet- , a motion sensitive lightbar in the garage, and two window screen replacements came to a total just over $600. The day of the appointment Jason arrived on time and ready to take care of the tasks. After asking a few questions pertaining to the temperature (brightness) of the recessed lighting, he began the installation process. Since my wife and I were working from home, he was very considerate in communicating that he would need to briefly turn off our power. Although this was a slight inconvenience, it was very short lived due to Jason's efficiency. Roughly three hours later, Jason was summoning me to check out the final product(s). Installation was very neat and Jason did a great job of cleaning any trash that was left behind. As my wife and I continue to identify areas of our home that need to be upgraded, I will be reaching out to Jason for future services.
