I normally get my car done at Lopez car wash but this place was closer so I thought I would try it. Never again with my car go here. They left my car greasy and my windows and dash are all smudgy. They took the color off my emblem on my steering wheel. They left white wax residue all over the car. I also had my seats done and my seats were soaking wet. He told me to leave the windows cracked or down during the day (when it's not raining or parked under a cover) Well 4 days later they SMELL like MOLD and they still feel damp to me I'm going to have to pay 130+ to get it all redone because they messed it up. He offered to redo the seats but why would I want them to mess it up even more? I talked to David and he was not helpful. Told me it was my fault. Fun story: A top-heavy man (bro, friends don't let friends skip leg day) driving a deuschy Hummer with Dr. Detail adverts all over it aggressively approached a nice young mother at Teddy Bear Park and proceeded to devolve into what should best be referred to as a roid rage. Evidently the young mother's two-year old had hit the two-year old child or our intrepid Dr. Detail DBag (but let's be honest, without a paternity test you can never be sure it was HIS child). While the aggressive bullying of a young mommy didn't get physical, the scene was quite uncomfortable. So much so that I called the institution of deuschbaggery itself, Dr. Detail, and asked to speak to the proprietor. I figured he would surely want to know what kind of public advertising he was getting from this spokesman. Indeed, he did NOT want to know and advised me not to bother him with that sort of thing. Presumably he had to get back to washing or vacuuming cars. Stay away from Dr. Detail unless you like trashy people. read more

One star is a compliment. David is nice, personable and sometimes funny. His business savvy is weak. I stopped in for some rock chip repairs and left with a cracked windshield. No sense of responsibility. In fact he admitted that they didn't even repair the rock chip that the crack was predicated on. But he billed me for it?! Moving on. My wife and I have been here twice. If I had read the reviews beforehand, I might have never gone. This place is AMAZING, a gem, tucked away on a street without all the traffic of Rayford/Sawdust. They were affordable (we paid about $55 total), and the owner was very friendly and engaging. His team took care of our 2010 Ford Escape as if it were a 2014 Tesla - it was immaculate and remarkably fast. Having come from Orange County, California, I think I was spoiled - where every car wash has to perform, or die a horrible death. I thought I was going to live a life of car sadness, especially after paying through the teeth for that big car wash on Rayford/Sawdust (next to Whataburger) and having a horrible experience there... but that's another story, and another review. Bottom line - I'm so glad I tried Dr. Detail, and I would happily return. (Next time I'm getting some BBQ, since they're literally NEXT door to Corkscrew.) read more

Let me say right up front that this is a car detail business, and to that end I'm sure they are very good. However, as a motorcycle detail shop,they need a little more experience. I brought my 2007 Harley Street Glide in for a detail & got a 2nd rate wash & wax. After more than 2 hours waiting they informed me the job was complete. Well, the girl who did this work didn't know very much about bike detail as the mirrors were not clean, there was tar on one of the pipes that she missed & generally little spots of wax that I had to remove when I got home. Although the owner David was very friendly, I just felt I should have received a better job for $85.00...but then again the old saying is true..you get what you pay for...DONT TAKE YOUR BIKE HERE! read more

Paid $200 to have my FJ detailed here after an offroad trip (lots of mud). The interior and exterior look new again. Not a single spot. Leather seats were conditioned, the exterior was waxed, all the plastics were restored. Truck looks great. read more

I have been here roughly 10 times to get multiple vehicles detailed. I have always had a wonderful experience with a quick turnaround time. The quality of hand wash/detail you get for the price seems to be rare in the area. I took my husband's truck in the day before we sold it and he said it hadn't looked that good since the day he bought it! I would suggest either showing up when they open (my Tahoe takes about 2 hours if I get in early) or the new manager has advised that they are now taking appointments. If you notice there are any spots that might have been missed just point them out and they will quickly take care of it. This is the only place I get the interior of my car cleaned, would highly recommend. read more

I took my 2019 Toyota Corolla in for a full detail, $210.00 on 09/11/2020 expected wait time Two and half hour. My car was ready less than and hour and half. Great, the only thing was that I paid for a detail and my car look like I only got a Car Wash, and the interior looked the same. I wasn't given the break down of a full detail, very disappointed. This place did an excellent job on my headlights before I could not see the lines on the road at all. And now I can see again I was told by other shops to buy new lenses I looked them up they were about $200 for a set. Then I was with a friend of mine and he got a rock chip on his 2012 f-150 then he and I came here got it repaired it looked like it never happened I could not see it anymore. And the owner "Popeye" he is vary friendly and he's short sweet to the point I like that. So later on I decide to bring my 1999 ford contour lx here to get the headlights cleaned up they were so bad I said to myself that if this shop can't get them back like new again then I'll just have to buy new lenses. But they did such an amazing job that my car looks like I just picked it up from the show room yesterday, I thanked the lady that did it more then once and told her she saved me $200. The guy working there told me they change the price depending on how dirty/trashed your car is, which I was grateful for since I don't let my car get trashed. Customer service non existent, I took my wife's car to get a detail, After returning I realized all her personal belongings were in the trunk, drenched. They left them out to get wet, papers, shoes, a portfolio. After discussing with the manger who didn't want to accept fault, we both cooled down and he agreed to give me a gift card for 150$. Fast forward a few months I came to use the gift card. I was told they had no way to know what's on it. I then put int the phone with one of the managers/owner on the phone. Telling me it was odd for them to do 150$ on a gift card and they were too busy to do anything today any how. I did not come back to continue a disagreement and fight for a gift card given to me. I have 2 experiences with dr detail now and neither have been overwhelming. Let me preface my review by saying that I am a perfectionist when it comes to my vehicles and I hold anyone working on them to the same standard. Exp. 1- Paid to have window tint done on my moms Acura TL as a gift. When I saw the work dine it looked like an amateur had done it. There were large pieces of trash, bubbles, and misalignment of the film where it didn't cover the whole glass. I used to tint windows so I do understand there is a certain level of debris that is almost impossible to avoid unless you are installing in a clean room. This debris, however, could have been easily removed once noticed on the squeegee stage. Bubbles usually go away with time and these did. The misalignment issue was on the rear quarter glasses and was told that's the best that could be done after redoing it the second time. After looking at other TL's with tint , and not seeing this, I refused to accept and went back for the third time. Problem finally solved. Exp.-2 brought my new tundra up there for hand wash and wax. I was not too happy when I came to pick it up (after only 30 minutes in their possession which should have been a huge red flag). They put this slimy shine all over everything plastic and it looked awful. It was streaked all over the plastic and there was a fine mist of it all over the waxed paint. There was also quite a few spots left in the paint where they didn't wipe off all the wax. I had the guy come out and fix everything, but I felt pretty uncomfortable having to point all this out. When I got home I decided to give it a real thorough look over and was pretty hot when I discovered. They hadn't waxed the roof. It was covered in water spots where it hadn't been dried either. There were also quite a few areas where dried wax was left in spots and crevices. I called him to complain and he told me to bring it back. I live 20 min drive away and didn't have time at that point. On the positive side they work quick and are willing to fix their errors which warrants the 3 star rating. I am amazed though that they have been in business this long and are turning out that kind of work. Having worked in this industry in the past, I understand what it takes to do quality work. They really need to reevaluate their business model. read more

Went there for paintless dent repair and was quoted 500 bucks for about 20 small dents. When we came by to pick the car up, it changed to 900 with no warning or explanation. Was very upfront with the cost (which was right in line with what I expected after some google research). $85 for a nice size door ding that I have nobody to blame for but myself! Dangit. I just had our 2 vehicles detailed with the mobile service through Dr. Detail. I could not be more pleased. Raul and his crew showed up at 8:30 am this morning and finished up around 1 pm. One of our vehicles is a lifted F250 so it took some time. They did not miss a single detail on either vehicle. I needed to have my 28' motor coach detailed. Looked up several, but Dr. Details was closest. They came the same day I called. There were 4 workers with all their own equipment. My storage facility, Free Eagle Storage, has an RV wash bay for tenants. So the Dr. Details crew hooked up to their water and went work. They washed and waxed everything except the top. They only washed the top. They did not recommend waxing it. They cleaned the windows inside and out plus the cabin area. It only took about 1 1/2 hours. They did a great job. My RV looked brand new. If you need this type of top quality work, I highly recommend Dr. Details. Note: they do other type of cleaning as well. read more

Dr. Detail saved me almost $1000! I recently had an accident and my insurance company totalled the car. I was shocked to find that the valuation of my car included a penalty of $933 for stains on the seats (to my mind, not horrible stains). David & company did their magic and do a thorough cleaning. No matter where I go...Splash, Aqua, Soap...etc...the prices are similar for basic wash with interior wipe-down - $18-22. So when I went to Dr. Detail today I didn't ask the price but expected it to be competitively-priced. I was SHOCKED when I was asked to pay $39.99. I asked if they Armor-All'ed the interior. Nope - basic wipe-down. I told the lady gleefully taking my $40 (Betty) that the price was double what I normally pay and that the price is outrageous, and she said "it's competitively-priced for out here" and "you should have asked the price before the work was done". Well, I didn't ask the price because I expected it to be fair. SO BUYER BEWARE...THE PRICE IS AN ASTRONOMICAL $39.99 for a BASIC HAND WASH with basic interior wipe-down...that took about 15 minutes to complete. Hey area friends! Dr. Detail...the little compound over off of Budde Rd. In the South Woodlands near 45...Shoot, they do almost anything car care wise and I recently found out they do Headliner Repair/replacement. A true long story that I'll keep short...they did my headliner replacement and it's Flawless! David and the rest of his crew were knowledgeable and excited to do the work on my vehicle. I recommend them and will use their services in the future. I do recommend from beginning to end, doing business in person and getting a signed paper quote once you do your research and find out that they are the best priced in town. They'll give one to you and honor it as long as the scope of work doesn't change much. Even if an issue does arise, they all do their best to take a step back and come up with a solution that is fair and right, but good fences make good neighbors so do your best to have full communication with everyone involved and have those documents drawn up and signed off on by management. They offer warranties for many of their services and I believe those along with the relationships they form with customers will be strong for the long run. Go by and get that work done on your beloved vehicle that you've been holding off on because you thought it would be too expensive or a pain to get done the right way...they did me and mine right. read more

About a month ago i was washing my truck (full size 4-dr dodge) i noticed something on the right passenger side...it appeared to be dirt...it didnt wash off. I spoke with Betty from Dr detail...she walked over, picked up my truck. several hours later Betty brought my truck back....all I can say is WOW! Truck was completely cleaned and detailed. They stole the programmer out of my truck. It was taken out of my center console. When I asked about it. The manager "David" told me it was to late in the day to investigate it and wanted me to come the next day and get it figured out. I called David twice on my way to the business. No answer. I pulled up just in time to watch him drive away. He called me back about 5 minutes later after I texted him and asked where he was. He called me back to let me know he had some important stuff to deal with and that I shouldn't have left it in the vehicle.
