Why 5 stars? Because my tinting was affordable, fast and convenient…read more --- --- --- I recently purchased a new car and knew right away that I wanted to get the windows tinted. That early morning Montgomery sun is brutal! I looked up a few companies that had great Yelp reviews, but ultimately decided to call Top Notch. He scheduled my appointment for a few days later and came over. And he was so fast that when I came out to take a "before" photo, he was already done. And it was only $100 for my two front windows. I assumed it would cost double that. So it didn't cost much, I didn't have to leave my house and it was done a few days after my initial call. Win, win, win!

This was a horrible experience dealing with Dan and his company. The first time 10/5/25, I drove…read moreover 30 minutes to get to his shop only to be stood up because his service is crappy out there and he wrote down the wrong day and was a no show for the first appointment. After a month, I decided to give him another shot since his shop was recommended by a friend. The second time I went out there to get my windshield tinted on 12/7/25 there was debris under the film. I reached out to Dan and sent him a picture of it and he said he may need to replace it. Fast forward to today 12/17/25: I have an appointment on 12/20/25 @ 9am and I had to reach out to Dan because I had decided to not get my daughters windows tinted and just asked him if he could fix my windshield instead. He said " We have plans this weekend with kiddos" and when I asked him about Sunday he said " We havent reached out but will need to cancel as our weekends with the kids have changed" Ok... Wait... So when were you going to let me know that you were canceling? Then texts me saying "My kids will always come first. Please feel free to set up an appt to fix the issue :) have a wonderful day!!" I ALREADY HAD AN APPOINTMENT and no one asked you to "choose" between kids and work. YOU are the one who set the appointment up! Seriously?! Horrible business practices and I will not be recommending this shop to anyone. I will somewhere else to get it done. And while his prices may be good, you get what you pay for in product and customer service.

I have a 2015 Prius with just 30,000 miles - yes that,s 30,000. Years of pecan tree sap from the…read moreneighbor's yard and the hot Houston sun had caused the paint to fade somewhat. There was also a few rock dings and a few dents from hail - the only time in 22 years that I had experienced hail large enough to do damage. I simply wanted the dents and dings fixed, and the outside painted, without spending money on the labor to remove and replace the various badges and such. I also didn't need inside the doors painted. It was incredible the prices being quoted. The dealership wanted so much that I would be better off investing that amount of money in a new car. They even wanted to remove and replace the windshield and replace all the badges. Most of the shops would only do the entire car, including the insides of the doors, and wouldn't quote for only what I wanted. After months of trying to find an affordable paint job I was about to give up on it altogether. As a last resort, I decided to try this MAACO on Cypress Springs, I'd read some reviews on them, and the real complaints were not about the quality of the job; the complaints were about the time it took MAACO to do the job. I know that unforeseen things can happen when you start to repair dents, and people sometimes get ill.and can't show up for work That's the nature of any business. With no quality complaints I felt good about trying this place. I was trying to get a general price range on the phone, but Valentina explained that they couldn't really tell how much it would cost until they could physically see the vehicle. That's understandable, so I went by to see what prices they offered. The quote was several $THOUSAND$ less than any other of the 16 quotes I had gotten. No other shop would do only what I wanted, trying to jack up the price and stating that the paint job would not look right unless EVERYTHING was removed before it was painted. I got 3 quotes from Valentina...good, better, and best. I found her to be quite knowledgeable about all the particulars of what was needed. She's proof that a woman can do the job just as good as any man. Because this was so much less expensive than all the other quotes I had received, Valentina and I decided I should go for the best one which was 2 coats of paint and a 5 year warranty. My max budget was about $1500 more than the highest quote from MAACO, and that's a substantial amount. I took the car in early Monday and got it back at around noontime on Friday. The car had been completely cleaned on the inside. Other than the headlights having a bit of that foggy look in a few places, the car looks almost brand new again. (I'll eventually do something about the headlights,) As far as the complaint that Anthony was rude, I feel he likely responded to someone demanding he give them a ballpark figure over the phone, which is against their policy. I thought at first he seemed a bit gruff; but once I got in a conversation with him, he was very chatty and congenial. I asked Anthony about the aftercare of the paint job. He spent several minutes with me outside going over the do's and don'ts of caring for the paint job with much detail. He was quite the wealth of information. He also stated that most folks don't bother to ask about such things, just picking up there vehicle and leaving. The fact is that the car looks incredible and I now have a great deal of knowledge of how to keep the paint job looking great. I made some mistakes in cleaning with abrasive brushes, and was using a very powerful detergent that dissolved the clear coat. I want tell you this information; you'll have to go by MAACO and ask Anthony in person. My roommate has a 2016 Forester with the same situation of a few loose rock dings and some small hail dents (from the same storm.) He liked the job on my car so much that he's having them do his vehicle. It has a bit more surface and more hail dents, so he's getting the least expensive job on his. To have the same paint job (best) as I got, it would have cost him about $1700 more than mine, He didn't want to spend that much and decided the lower priced job would be adequate. I have confidence that they will do a great job on his vehicle, also. Don't discount this company just because they have a much cheaper price. They seem to know what they're doing.
