I am not the kind of person who gives a review right after the service is done because things may not be what they seem. A friend was moving into an apartment that smelled like urine (i think the previous tenants had pets that were not housebroken, sadly) and the carpet REALLY needed to be cleaned, for health reasons, if anything. Had them out to remove pet stains. Looked great when he left. 8 weeks later the stains are back. I called and he said "we are not magicians" basically too bad too sad. I needed a shag area rug steam cleaned the same day I called so that it would be dry in time for an upcoming event at our house. I called several different companies and they were all booked almost a week out and also had a minimum charge that was much too expensive for only one area rug. I called Dr. Carpet and they came out the same day within a few hours - Gustavo and his partner knew exactly what needed to be done to the rug (steam clean, deodorize etc). They were very professional, polite and efficient! They only charged $69 which I think is very reasonable for that level of same-day service. Just moved into a new condo and I wanted the carpets cleaned. I called Dr. Carpet and they quoted me about $120 when they got here they told me that that is the price for the basic carpet cleaning and they don't guarantee that cleaning. He told me the deep cleaning would cost me over $300 and that is guaranteed. What a rip off this guy is. I do not recommend him for any services. read more

My husband & I called around for a carpet cleaning company, mind you on a Sunday. We received several quotes from other companies but they were higher and they wanted to book it for Monday. At Dr. Carpet, I spoke with Rich, he said his guy can do same day on Sunday and also gave us advice on the best way to dry, since it was late on Sunday. We booked them and Cesar came out within 2 hours from our call, 3 bedrooms cleaned. Cesar did an amazing job, our carpets are clean and stains are gone, still 2 weeks later. First, richard totally forgot about my appointment, i had to call him and it took him a few minutes to remember"' the appointment then he has another company come out to do the work (read: sub contracting) The guy couldn't find the apartment and when he got there, he starts working without giving me a firm price. So he calls richard and finally comes back with a reasonable price. I haven't seen the carpet once it was dry but it "seemed" to be adequate. Would not use them again. I used Rich at Dr. Carpet to clean some carpet and a couple of couches at my Mother in Law's house. The cleaning was scheduled right away and the work was performed flawlessly at very reasonable prices. My Mother in Law can be hard to please (imagine that!) and she was also very happy with the work. I used Rich again at a small rental property and his bid came in several hundred dollars below the competition. Thank you for being prompt and efficient! My wife called Dr. Carpet for move-in deep cleaning on Saturday for an appointment the following Tuesday morning. The job was started on time and done within an hour and a half. The cleaning took out the musty smell and the home smells much fresher. Gustavo also helped with tile cleaning in what was a disgusting, grimy shower. We were hoping the shower would look new again but no such guarantee, however, it does look way better than before and at least it's clean and we can feel more comfortable using it. read more
