Very poor customer care and representation. Was told one price and when cleaner arrived quoted double the fee because he had to carry the machine upstairs for one room. Shameful. he arrived on time, unfortunately, did not identify himself nor the company. he had no ID on him not card or document identifying himself or service company. All service companies always have ID on them and name of company. Came in just a regular car not with the usual cleaning operational vans. Again, no noted company name displayed either. The cleaner reiterated how the fee doubled and that is all he focused on. I am Appalled how I was approach. I wish I could give this business negative stars after our experience. We had our carpets cleaned by Dr. Carpet on 5/13. We are and were sorely disappointed with the level of service and all that transpired when they came out. 1. We were charged WAY more than what was quoted. The gentleman who did the cleaning for us charged $500 due to pet hair. However, most of the fur was picked up/vacuumed prior to his arrival, so it seemed absurd to charge that much more. If we had known it was going to be that expensive, we would have gone with a different service. 2. My roommate told the gentleman to keep our dogs in the sun room, and for no reason whatsoever, this man let them out. They are runners and escaped through the front door he left open. In addition, his attitude was completely flippant about this and my roommate had to go retrieve the dogs who almost got hit by oncoming traffic. Completely irresponsible. 3. The gentleman knocked over a glass candle which was left in shards on the fireplace and carpet. And he never told us! I almost stepped on the glass and could have injured my foot. This in and of itself is completely reprehensible. While I still hope they can make this right (wrote an email right after this happened with several follow ups, yet to hear anything back), we will never use this service again. EDIT: For clarification, nothing was in "extreme" condition per what the owner's comment suggests below. We had some problem spots, but nothing severe at all. Our sofas had minimal fur and no urine stains. The other points are simply untrue. Coordination and communication could be improved. Tech was scheduled between 2-4pm for Dryer vent cleaning but showed up at 6pm, after the service was performed since it was for my rental, i asked for an invoice to be sent for collection of payment. The tech said sure but continued to pester me and my tenant for payment. Then the owner got involved and started to pester me directly, i explained to him im waiting for a invoice, once that was sent i also wanted to wait for my tenant to run the dryer once to confirm the fix. Of course it was late by now, so the tenant wanted to wait till tomorrow, the entire day both my tenant and myself was bombard with messages requesting payment even tho i explained i talked to the company owner and explain what i was waiting on. This is a terrible company that caused a lot of problems for me with my new tenant. My tenant who just moved in complained that the dryer needs to be done twice for one load to dry and so we figured the line needs to be cleaned then we had a tech from First Class appliance confirm that the line needs to be cleaned but they don't do that kind of work and we need to call an air duct cleaning company. I found Dr Carpet on Yalp with good rating so I called and asked Gustavo who answered the phone how much is to clean the dryer duct and he said $69 but then he said let me check then he came back and said that is for 6 ft and after that costs more. I told him ours is about 9 ft and how much would that be and he said he does not know and he must ask his boss Rich. He said he will let me know. A day passed, he did not call. So, I called him and told him just go ahead and schedule me in ASAP because my tenants can't wait with little kids to do drying twice. He said Ok. He took our address and info on my tenants ( name & phone #). He then said we will do it today or tomorrow. That was Tuesday. He also said when we are done we call you so you pay us. On Thursday night around 9pm I get a text from the tenant that he never showed up but he called them and told them something about a coupon and some nonsense as the reason for not going. That made the tenant very upset that we don't want to do or whatever. This company, not only didn't show up they talked to the tenants and told them nonsense that was not true as an excuse not to go. When I called that company Gustavo said his boss called me and my husband to confirm but we did not respond! What he says is impossible because we always answer our calls and also we have missed call and he could text or leave a message. Also when I asked to talk to his boss he said he is gone for the long week end. This company caused a lot of problems for us by talking to our tenants and not show up!!! After reading the good reviews, I was hoping the tech could get a simple, untreated coffee stain out with ease. 1) the technician had a meh attitude upon arrival when I asked him to wear shoe covers 2) the stain is 75% still there and he said I can "google" some stuff to put on it if his work doesn't get it all out 3) the office said an untreated stain will come out and treated stain isn't guaranteed to come out which is not what the tech supported (prob said by office to gain business) 4) tech used WAY too much water because the rug and carpet was wet for 2 days when he said it should dry in 4-6 hours 5) I've used another company before and I wish I went this them. This guy/company doesn't know what they are doing. I tried calling the office 4 times and then texted them because this mailbox was full and got no reply. We have had other companies come clean tough stains & can't get it out. We have a dog and a toddler, so accidents happen often. Every single time we have called Dr. carpet they have gotten a stain out. Even the toughest things like pet stains, a berry smoothie, and an old coffee stain.
