I have to Praise both the Office and especially Dr. Brianna Martinez;…read more On 4-17-26 I went into San Ysidro Health's Escondido Office on Grand Ave, without any appointment. My reason was to [hopefully] have them complete my CA EDD Disability 2501 Part B paperwork and a County of San Diego Disability Form. Instead of turn me away, the staff allowed me to see Dr. Brianna Martinez, whom took the time to complete the government forms I needed completed by a Doctor, proving my severe disabilities. My compliments concern two things they did right, 1st) instead of turning me away and calendaring a doctor's appointment, San Ysidro Health worked me into the schedule and allowed me to see a Doctor the same day without appointment. And 2nd) Dr. Brianna Martinez proceeded to take the time and effort to complete the government paperwork I needed to be completed by a Doctor. I know that people often forget to compliment when others go above and beyond and/or do a spectacular job, and instead only complain when others fail to meet expectations. In this case, I want to be sure to take the time to express my gratitude and publically compliment both Dr. Martinez and San Ysidro Health for each helping me and meeting my needs.

Sandra Perez is the worst pediatrician, I came from Scripps and had to switch providers and this…read morehas been the worse experience. She came into the room without properly greeting us or asking for consent with the AI recorder. She was very strict and commanding to my son. Because she was impatient and my son was hyper she immediately said he needs to be evaluated for autism. She met my son for 5 minutes and she believes he's autistic. My son is 2 years old we waited for over an hour to be seen because of registration how did she expect him to act? Quiet? Calm? I have 3 children and was told she only allows 2 children at the visits. How rude and assertive she is she doesn't not need to be in the profession of caring for children! I would like to thank Nicole the medical assistant for calling me and helping me find a new pediatrician.

I waited 10min to be seen at the counter. 10 minutes to go I.la for the tests. They emailed me the results that same day by 5pm. I paid $100 and something dollar for quite a few tests, so I personally thought it was affordable for someone without insurance. There is also a paid parking facility and street parking (paid) nearby. It's super convenient.

However, when…read moreit comes to the medical field and laboratories, I believe a higher standard is required. Certus Lab in the Rio district has been a disaster from the first day. My loved one was diagnosed with AML (leukemia) and we were sent to this lab to have 2 important tests conducted on Thursday, 3/11/2021. The lab could only perform 1 of the 2 tests and staved us off until Tuesday 3/16 for test #2. However, test #1 was to be ready on the evening of 3/11 or at the latest, morning of 3/12. Nothing for Thursday or Friday and when I called on Saturday, the lab couldn't even find the name of the patient AND never did. We returned on Wednesday 3/17 to have the tests repeated and test #1 was promised by end of day 3/17 or first thing 3/18 by email. Nothing in my email on Thursday and when we called, no ability to locate the results. I checked today (3/19) online and results are in process. Called about 2:30 and low and behold, the results are ready (but online still shows in process). When the report came to me via email, the report was generated Thursday, 3/18 @ 7:34 AM?! Why no report could be found or why it wasn't sent to me, I was given no good reason!? And no apology. AND, I think a partial or full refund is in order since we've not been given what we were promised - TWICE! Makes me wonder if I can trust the results, too!! Test #2 was to be free based on a program in Mexico and they had "no record" of that. The Dr. even took the time to complete the paperwork for us and they still couldn't figure it out. They finally spoke with the organization about the free test and refunded us, but nothing is in our account yet! If this is a professional lab, I don't want to see a non-professional lab. This is someone's life and a a brief treatment window that shouldn't be compromised by ineptness. I'd love to hear from Jasmin Bravo (supposed supervisor), but she's slippery and never available. Just a warning that you should check to see if there are other options before you subject your results and your health concerns to this sloppy outfit called a lab!
