Stopped tonight for a couple of blizzards for Mother's Day treats and left unimpressed. The drive thru guy was inattentive and I had to repeat the order twice. My ultimate cookie blizzard was not ultimate. The cookies were on the top of a half cup of vanilla ice cream, not mixed throughout. The Reeces blizzard with extra hot fudge had no fudge. Neither blizzard was presented upside down as promised by DQ. After asking for napkins the drive thru guy gave me more than I use in a week. This dairy queen is always packed to the brim, in drive thru and in the lobby. The store is mainly managed by a bunch of teenagers and you can tell that that actually care about the customers. Speaking from a crew mate of this dairy queen who has worked here for 8 months and counting, I can say that we try our absolute best to be patient with the customers who have been waiting a while. Sunday May 23. Went to DQ for our usual Sunday night blizzard. Two in front of me to be waited on. Employees walked by and totally ignored the inside line waiting. Man in front said hed been waiting 10 minutes and no one acknowledged he was there. Two employees came out looked at the line and went back into the back. We waited another 10 minutes and still no service not even a, we will be right with you. Finally all three of us left. I have never been so disappointed in DQ service. We came this location tonight at 9:30pm. Our order was taken in a timely manner. But, service went down hill From that point. It took 20 minutes to get 2 coney dogs , a turkey club and 1 Blizzard. They had forgotten my drink , chips, and 1 Order pretzel sticks. I asked about the forgotten items 2x before I received them @ 10pm the young man came to our table to inform us we needed to Leave due to it was 10 pm And they are closing, we asked to be able to finish our meals and he said no we Needed to go. Visited on a quiet Sunday afternoon. Service was fast and friendly. Everything was correct and tasted great. No complaints!

After being open for over a year this place still can not run efficiently. The store is a great starter job for high schoolers, however you can't depend on teens to run a business, but sadly that's what's going on. Managers are constantly changing which speaks volumes about the upper management. As a previous assistant manager for this location I can confidently state that the sole purpose of this location failing lays on the district "manager" Lisa. Calling her a manager is a complete stretch of the word because she is clearly clueless on what manager does. I've witnessed her allowing an employee under the influence of drugs work his shift and allow him to continue employment. I have witnessed mold in the ice cream machines, I have witnessed expired food products be served and the pest infestation seems to be little to no concern. However the owners of the store and attached gas station, Albemarle Oil Company have no clue of the lack of managerial direction she provides which is sad as I know they'd be mortified to hear what goes on behind the scenes. Consumer wise I would advise to steer clear of this location for you food and sanitation wellbeing. Until management is replaced and sober staff is employed it will be a matter of time before customers become sick. read more
