AVOID OR RISK HAVING THEM LOSING/STEALING YOUR GOODS. ZERO LIABILITY. Used DPD local UK to ship goods from UK to Portugal (Parcel 15976810122024). Goods were last seen in their warehouse, only reachable by their staff, yet went missing. After a 2-month dispute with their staff, they offered around 20 GBP compensation and later around 50 GBP, out of the approx 2000 GBP original value of the goods. Calling costumer support over and over, with photos of the package being delivered to their driver, I kept being forwarded to useless staff asking me to call/contact someone else. Package was finally tagged as "delivered" on their website (yet was never delivered), and everytime I'd call I'd hear "Sorry it's been delivered". After posting this review, DPD contacted TripAdvisor who contacted me several times to show proof of what I had written. And so I did. Review stayed published, yet it's now gone, so I'm reposting it. Long story short: dont use DPD since they don't keep an eye on your goods while in transit, and if they are lost or stolen by their staff in their warehouse, you get NOTHING! Zero liability. Costumer service will exhaust you with politically-correct useless business chit chat. I sent an item to a customer and it was damaged at the delivery depot. Set up an online refund and complaint and attached ALL evidence required. This wasn't good enough for DPD LOCAL as they spent the next 4 months asking for the same evidence I had given on numerous occasions. Because I didn't reply to their request for proof of purchase, which I had already sent (original invoice from Wicks) on numerous occasions they have closed my case. I've not actually placed an order with company, but they've been used by others to deliver parcels to me. The service is amazing. Tracking is incredibly detailed - you can watch the progress as the item is picked up, delivered to the depot and then sent on its way (usually next day) in their lorry. Once on the lorry, you are given a one-hour delivery slot, and, to date, it has been spot on time. The contrast with those who ask you to wait in for a whole afternoon could not be greater. And tracking is simple too: a single click from a link that they send you. In fact, they've sent emails all along the way to keep me informed. Brilliant. read more

More recently the delivery service has been very poor,it seems that new staff are in such a hurry they do not have the time to find our house and electric gate system to even press the buzzer, we have 22 CCTV cameras around the grounds and can track every movement and have evidence that on one occasion the driver stopped in the drive way walked around his vehicle did not attempt a delivery then drove off, all on camera days later he turned up again then lied that he was even their, another time a driver claimed he could not get a answer and their fore could not make a delivery upon inspecting the CCTV he had no chance of making a delivery as he was travelling will above the speed limit as he passed our property, we have photo's to prove, the point of my comments is it seems it has become common to say no one was in when we have a complement of staff working in the grounds from 8-5 5 days a week plus we also live in the house full time, it also appears that almost all the other delivery companies do not have any where near the problem as DPD may be it's time to look at the Quality of staff you employ. read more
