But we got crossed wires about feet and meters. So when I arrived, I was shocked to see I had booked a cupboard for 2 vans worth of stuff. So Geoff-who was working the reception was very polite and professional and got me another room. When I finally got everything's in, I only needed half of it, so Geoff came to the rescue again and found me another smaller room that fitted everything and saving me quite a considerable amount of money. I can't thank him enough, he could quite easily have just said- that's what you got. But he went out of his way to help. A very rare thing these days. Great customer service. Thanks Geoff.

I stored my stuff there for the better part of two years and spent many hundreds of pounds. They don't offer much of an incentive to stay but there are lots of offers to new customers. Examples: - I told them that I needed to store my stuff for another year. The best discount they could offer was 10% off if I paid the year fully in advance. Not much of a deal.. - I downsized my locker to cut costs. They actually charged for transition time. I moved my stuff to the smaller locker and ended up paying for both the bigger and the smaller one for a period of overlap. And, remember, for the guys at Ready Steady Store don't run on months but 4 week periods so you get 13 invoices a year! Otherwise, this is a bog-standard facility (comparable in cost to other local services which often actually offer greater convenience) and they are not one I can really recommend.
