Unsure on if it was staffing or ingredients they've changed, but it's definitely different. Loved swinging by for a late night meal that isn't fast food, but the food seems to be going downhill. This was the last three experiences recently. Grease is understandable, but dripping grease is unnecessary, especially when there's no add in sauces:(. It's a great niche place offering really tasty calzones, right across from the CSU campus. This is comfort food at its finest and there's no coincidence that they stay open after midnight, to satisfy those college cravings. At $10 each, you won't leave hungry! Staff is friendly and took care of our order efficiently. I do want to note that, since they weren't busy, this staff wasn't standing around. They were wiping and washing counters, fryers and the sides of the seating areas, which is great to see as a customer! I would happily up this to 4 stars if the place was updated. Everything is old and run down, bathrooms are sketchy and just needs some updates, so for now, it's a 3 star. The manager Jason was very rude and disrespectful. I told him my frustrations and he told me clearly he wasn't going to do anything about it. Even said to call back the next day and talk to the owner because it wasn't his store. Very clear to me he doesn't care about his guest nor his staff being that the first person I talked to hung up on me (I heard him tell her to do so) then when I called back he was very rude and left the phone on the counter. (I know this because I could hear everything happening in the restaurant) then called again and was told it wasn't there problem. The worst service I've ever had in my life. I've loved this place for 15 years. Maui Wowi lol! They deliver, open super late, great munchie appetizers and delicious cookies! So many tasty and unique options. It may look like a hole in the wall and the employees may seem a bit... "Colorado spacey" sometimes ;) but my food is good and I never have to wait long (outside of rush hours). This restaurant had counter service. It's definitely not a sit down and order kind of place. We were expecting more variety however all they sell is calzones. Our calzones were good. The do they use was a little unusual. I'm used to more of a duly calzone I guess. The cheese calzone had ricotta in it. My daughter didn't like that very much. I had the Philly cheesesteak calzone. It was good. My son had the combat zone calzone. He said it was pretty good. The calzones are huge. It's a really good value for your money. read more

Okay so. This wasn't horrible. We ordered a lot. Most if not all the food was not hot or that warm. I ordered delivery, but they aren't far from me and the driver was on time. I'm pretty sure the calzones and "sticks" dessert and cheese type are all pre made and they just heat up. That's not to say they didn't taste fine, but it loses appeal imo. Nothing fresh. None of the cheese was melted and was hard when I go it. I enjoy the simple marinara and the garlic butter was good. The icing for the cinnamon sticks was good. Tasted better than others. Tried this place because of its Google rating. Now I know better. I was so disappointed, I don't even know where to begin. Firstly, my delivery was almost an hour late, but I usually don't let that effect my rating of the food is good. It wasn't. We ordered two calzones and pesto sticks: Pesto Sticks - Really nothing special. Soft bread with pesto, cheese and a side of garlic butter. Calzones - Super bready with minimal filling. Got one with steak and tots, another with eggplant and some other veggies. I'm a meat guy, but between the two I preferred the eggplant one. There really wasn't anything particularly delicious about the calzones. The crust was insanely thick and bland. The filling was minimal and dry. I went against my gut to try this place instead of sticking to mamaroni. Won't do that again. read more

Really nice service! I might be biased since my friend works though... However, the food was really good, well prepared , and at an affordable price for what you're getting! The cookies are fresh and gooey. Only thing to keep in mind is that it is really filling. Probably get one calzone for two people. I love this place I really do but the last 3 orders I have had they are missing items. This ranges from ordering directly from them or on Uber eats. Today I got my usual and they for the first time added a new ingredient and forgot my drink. My biggest advice to the incredibly kind staff is to double check the orders. I thought I had tried everything in Fort Collins that has fun sauces and flavor combinations, so I was happily surprised when I saw them while walking down College. My partner and I enjoy the Zone of the Day deal since we like to try new ones. If you like spicy, you hav to try the Jalapeño Ranch and Kathys Garlic Chili. They're both very unique and tangy! I'm not sure what people are expecting out of an establishment whose food is best enjoyed when drunk. This location is in Colorado. It's on a college campus. If the staff wasn't super high, I would be shocked. Anyway, we ended up going to D.P. Dough while in Fort Collins. We all hadn't been to a D.P. Dough in at least a decade. D.P. has its place: in colleges to help cover up the large amount of Natty Light you've consumed and that, with this calzone, will produce some epic hangover diarrhea the next morning. I ordered the Spinner Zone or some other vegetarian Zone. Spring Yard Zone maybe? No, that was a level in Sonic the Hedgehog. Either way, it was cheesy and junky which is exactly what you want at that hour when you're getting nostalgic over college. At one point, Incubus started playing over the restaurant's speakers and we all looked at each other like, "Are we actually in college?!" Anyway, I highly doubt I will return to this D.P. Dough as I'm not between the age of 18 and 21 and 8 beers deep but our visit provided some nice reminiscing, tasted enjoyable enough, and the service was "out of this world." Meh. Floppy, pretty basic flavors, probably won't go back. 40 dollars for a forgettable cheese pizza is disappointing, even when it is a lot of pizza. It's not like it was cost effective either; I could get 4 Little Caesars pizzas for the same price and they are just as good if not better. They failed to pass the benefits of economies of scale on to the consumer. First time trying the Calzones here and I was extremely pleased! I got a Combat-zone and a Drop-zone (+bacon). Both calzones were hefty in size and cooked perfectly. By that I mean they were golden brown and crispy and held together for easy handheld dipping and eating. Each calzone comes with marinara sauce but you can get a ranch dip substitute for free! Honestly had a great experience here! Of course I didn't actually eat inside, merely got takeout, but the food was really good! We always loved this place in college - one of the few places open really late in FoCo. And they deliver! When you are hungry at 2AM, this is the place to go! My wife and I woke up at 3am to our dog barking at the door. Someone was knocking. By the time I could get up to look out the window, there was a car driving off. Neither of us really fell back to sleep after that, and if we did it was the worst night of sleep either of us have had in months. We get up and she gets ready for me to drive her to work and notice there is an order from DP Dough at our front door. So, I go to DP Dough to let them know about the wrong order. How can you just drop something off at 3am without confirming you are in the right place? How do you not use some common sense and see that there are NO lights on at 3am and think "maybe this isn't it." The dude at DP Dough was apologetic, at least, but didn't offer any solution other than agreeing that the driver needs to pay more attention and that it is inexcusable - especially after showing him a photo of a 4' sign with map of the apartment complex and another 4' sign with the two building addresses with arrows pointing in their direction CLEARLY VISIBLE as you drive by them. Their driver should pay a bit more attention to what they are doing. read more

This one is pretty easy. If you like big, greasy calzones with a lot of meat and cheese and a lot of flavor, this is the place to go. It is affordable, open very late and a staple in the CSU community. The variety is ridiculous. If you can think of anything at all you might want in a calzone, they will have it. I have enjoyed every one I have tried (about 6). Now for the negatives. It takes a long time to get your food. Not enough to make me not go there, but a fairly long time, even when they aren't busy. I guess it takes how long it takes to bake a calzone. Sometimes, the place can be a bit dirty. Also, their seating is old, worn and sparse. If none of that matters and you only care about the food, as you should, give it a shot. read more
