I thought this photo came out pretty good and captured this historical downtown in Redlands.

Downtown Redlands is really nice. Lots of shops and eateries along Orange and State streets. I was not there for very long but it was nicer than most towns or villages. Restaurants galore, ice cream shops, and lots of shops in this rustic town. Lots of parking on both sides of the street as well. I had a lot of fun. Will go back when time permits since it's not close.

I don't know a lot about Downtown Redlands, but from the 2 times I've been here, seems like a chill little town. Shops and restaurants line Orange Alley, which is a must-see if you're ever here. I noticed the cute little oranges near some of the public benches. What a cute touch! I wanted to visit the oyster place, but they don't open til late afternoon, and I had to leave early on both occasions. =( One day, I'll try it! Take a little stroll in this cute village-like area. It seems very family friendly, but it is HOT in the summer months! Be back soon, DTR!

The nitewalk in the 10 block is pretty satisfying. The area is expanding and just about every weekend there are planned activity.

public free parking , underground 5th/ citrus and above parking is on 6th/ citrus . It's the same public parking just different directions for entrance . Parking lot needs a major cleaning , the stench of urine is horrendous, especially the underground stair case area. Street parking are available on a 2 hour per day basis. Most of the retail business here closed early . I believe the signs says 5:30-6 pm . I'm not sure now late the restaurants stay open though. My friend and I stop in for a photo op at the Orange street alley or some known it as umbrella alley . The alley is lined with colorful umbrellas with restaurants/ bar with seatings in the alley. We also peaked in the the Redlands Galleria antique shop . Three floors of collectibles vintage furniture, clothing , jewelry, kitchen ware etc.

I was surprised by how cute downtown Redlands is! It is very contained, it has plenty of parking and is within walking distance from the Metrolink station (a couple of minutes walk). There are a few blocks of restaurants, cute shops (small businesses, a record store, a comic book one, lots of boutiques), nice cafe-s, lots of areas to rest with benches. The place has nice murals everywhere and cute decor to remind you of its past and history- orange groves country! A must stop is the Orange Street Alley, vibrant and colorful with nice restaurants. You can walk to the Lincoln Memorial, a nice and free museum to check out. My only complaint? Stores closes early here on a Sunday, at 5 pm so the place gets a bit sleepy! Easy to kill here at least a couple of hours shopping, browsing, grabbing a coffee or a meal. Perfect for a day trip from LA! Nice and cozy, fun to explore!

Plenty of free parking all around. Everything is within walkable distance and it's a nice place to kill some time. There's lots of little shops and eateries to look at, though there were a couple areas where there were many dead and closed businesses. There's also lots of photo opportunities with murals and paintings on the building walls, a small park with one of those tinkering clocks where a metal ball falls down and goes through a bunch of ramps and such to trigger an effect, and there's small poles with little oranges on them, very cute. We came here when there was a local art festival going on. Very neat to see what an artist alley looks like for non-anime individuals/boomers. Lots of art for sale, food trucks, arts and crafts for kids, chalk art, live music, some booze for the adults. Downtown also has the umbrella alley for your Instagram pics and the Lincoln Memorial Shrine to stop by as well.

Our first time for this event downtown. Excited about the Believe Walk, checked in and got our T-Shirts and number. So happy to be here. So many participants and volunteers. Happy to be on KSGN Team. There's policeman here to assist.

    State Street vibe.

This place is always busy, both inside and with takeout orders, so I definitely recommend ordering ahead if you're in a hurry. That said, they are consummate professionals at what they do, and even if you walk in, the wait is never painful. My advice: check out the menu while you're in line and be ready to order when you get to the register. They're busy, and nobody wants to be the indecisive person holding up the line! Their daily specials are incredible, but be aware that if you want a special from a different day, it's not happening. Also, get there early if you want the special, because they can and do sell out -- which honestly just proves how good they are. Everything here is done right. The menu items are thoughtfully put together, balanced, and full of flavor. Portions are generous without being ridiculous, prices are very fair, and honestly, I think they may even be low compared to the value you get. The staff is always helpful, and the girl at the counter has been there as long as I've been going -- I believe she's family -- which says a lot about the heart behind this place. Don't skip the market, either. They carry some of the best Italian ingredients, and it adds even more to the experience. Saverino's is by far the best sandwich spot in Redlands, and I'd go out on a limb and put them in the top five on the West Coast. Family-run, local, consistent, and absolutely top notch. This place is a winner and deserves a try. Just one warning: THEY ARE ADDICTIVE!

The cuts of meat are perfect, and the bread is delicious -- a little on the harder side, but very good. The staff is quick, helpful, and efficient. Parking can be a little tricky during lunchtime, but it's still easy enough to access. There's some seating both inside and outside, though the place isn't very big. I usually get my order to go.

The mushroom appetizer is seasoned perfectly, with just a hint of spice on the backend. It is perfectly paired with focaccia bread to soak up the sauce. I had the month's special Lobster ravioli. The sauce was a great balance of tomato and creamy flavors, but a nitpick is that within the ravioli the cheese slightly overpowered the lobster. The staff were quick, friendly, and attentive. The ambiance is quite nice with soft, warm lighting and an interesting and fun mix of textures and colors. The wall of TVs above the bar unfortunately do break the ambiance to some extent, but they're easy to ignore. I have now added Madri to my short list of downtown Redlands go-to restaurants!

Yes, my visit to Redlands is very intentional in the past and present. It is indeed an intriguing and interesting city with all the orange groves. I remember there was a farmer's market where I bought the best blood oranges that I have ever eaten. I'll have to find them again. Some residential areas are very well maintained and kept. Lots of Victorian style houses and buildings to admire block after block. Streets are clean and clutter free. I remember running through streets of mansions during my half marathon. There is a lot of wonderful rich history and heritage to explore in this city. I shall return not just for food and fun but for more fascinating citrus knowledge of the past because I love oranges. Come visit the City of Redlands! P.S., If you're curious like I am, per Google, Redlands is known for the city that "features large historic mansions, particularly in the South Redlands area, which historically earned it the nickname "The City of Millionaires" during the citrus boom." History defines the present. Very cool!

Here in downtown Riverside, you have Mariposa Alley (Butterflies). During lunch we were trying to figure out what was around the area that was worth checking out. It's a small little alley way that house all the fun cute butterflies hanging off the wall. The same concept as Collette Miller with the famous Angel wings scattered all over the place.
