Hmmmm, I really wanted to love this place as it's in my hood, but I was kinda let down…read more The staff when we went were super young and seemed a lot were new so I was trying to be patient. But the sweet girl taking orders didn't really know what she was doing and put in our order a bit wrong. The couple in front of us had their order messed up too. The interior of the place wasn't that inviting or clean, but we opted to eat in anyway. But IF we go back that won't be happening. My husband got a basic cheese pizza because that's how he judges all pizza places the first time around. It was just OK to him. I got the pickle chips since they were 'breaded in-house' and the BBQ Burger. The pickle chips were so over-seasoned and salty I couldn't even eat them - and I LOVE salt. What a shame. The only redeeming thing was the burger and fries. While the burger didn't have what it was supposed to on it and you don't get the option on the temperature of the meat, it was still a good burger. The fries were also super crispy and fluffy inside. So pretty hit-and-miss for me. I'm going to have to think twice before I go back.

While they DO have hibachi…read moregoodies that can be served on a specialty pizza, note that most of their menu is served as individual, more traditional items (like hibachi, a burger, or pizza...not all meshed together). This place was a bit of a hike for us but so worth it for the delicious pizza. We ordered a pepperoni pizza, garlic knots, and deluxe hibachi that comes with beef, chicken, and shrimp and a side salad and soup. If we were rating this place on the pizza and knots alone-5 stars all day long. The crust is so light, chewy and flavorful. The garlic knots actually remind me of the super unique rolls at the local Brazilian steakhouse. They have an outer chew but the inside is so soft that it almost melts in your mouth. The hibachi was...okay. My first bite of the entire meal was the beef and it was unfortunately so chewy that it was inedible. I crossed my fingers it was just that one piece. Nope. Our family ended up discarding every piece of beef, which was an expensive disappointment. The shrimp and chicken were tasty but overshadowed by the sea of onions and mushrooms. We were grateful for the salad and soup, although we couldn't distinguish what the soup was meant to be. My kiddo asked what the hot, brown salt water was. :-) The ginger salad was iceberg lettuce with a very thick, chunky ginger dressing. If that's your thing, rock on! For hibachi, we will probably stick with Fuji. In general, we will be back for the pizza soon and look forward to trying the burgers, which we've heard are great.

The pizza traveled well but the knots were steamed to excess in the carryout container and became so chewy that they were inedible by the time we ate. The pizza, however, was fantastic. We look forward to trying it again soon.

There is a closer Hoss to me but I always go to the Clinton Highway location. The Pizza is good, it's a tier above the national chains, and their Wednesday medium pizza special is a good value. I like a pizza that has a fluffy crust. We go here once a week and get a "thin" crust which is about the same chew as a local chains, their normal crust is a bit more fluffy - I like both normal & thin honestly. Their bone in wings are on point! Huge wings, with a well cooked, skin is not soggy - perfect. It's close, I like their specialty pizzas, their wings are better than the other local cafe options - way better than any chain. There is better pizza around - but the servers, the wings, the specialty pizza and flavors, I find myself here nearly every week so 4 stars.

The waitress told us to grab a seat wherever we wanted. She was quick on taking our drink order. After reviewing the menu we decided on the lunch special & a capri salad. Our capri salad arrived & looked appetizing. After our first bite we looked at each & said "it's not Florence". The tomatoes did not have flavor, drizzle of olive oil was light & very light balsamic vinegar. The lunch special of 2 slices with 2 toppings was outstanding, even with a big flop. It's big enough for two people or tomorrow's lunch. Will go again, maybe for dinner.

Our food was ready when we arrived and was still nice and warm when we got it home. There are plenty of seating options inside, including a bar area, booths, and high-tops, plus outdoor seating if you prefer to eat outside. We ordered the Mini Garlic Knots, Buffalo Chicken Flatbread, and a medium pizza with sausage, mushrooms, and black olives. The garlic knots were okay, but a little on the doughy side and not my favorite. The Buffalo Chicken Flatbread was good, but nothing that really stood out. The pizza was also decent and hit the spot. Overall, it's a solid option if you're in the area. Granted, there isn't a whole lot around here, so you have to take that into consideration. If you're looking for really good pizza, you may have to drive about 20 minutes, but if you're nearby and don't want to make the drive, this place will do the job.

The mouthwatering garlic knots ($8.95) likely are made from the same recipe as the crust as they are slightly sweet and light and smothered with fresh garlic. My companions each enjoyed a regular-size Greek salad ($7.25) and a large House salad ($9.95).
