My wife and I are both retired military and my wife has a ServiceDog to assist her with her disability. Today we went to try Goodfellas Italian Cuisine at 700 Grove St in Loudon. Her Service Dog wore the required identifying harness and was on leash. After seating ourselves, a member of the staff demanded documentation for my wife's Service Dog. My wife produced her dog's training certification card and the waitress took our drink order. Then a gentleman, I'm assuming the manager, asked us to leave because the restaurant seating area was too small to have Service Dogs. The restaurant was less than half full and my wife's Service Dog weighs under 20 pounds. Regardless of both Federal and Tennessee state law, and our attempt to discuss the matter, the staff refused to serve us and demanded that we leave. We have lived in Tellico Village for nearly 3 years and have been welcomed and accommodated appropriately in every establishment in the area with the exception of Goodfellas. You should avoid their despicable conduct. read more

Cute restaurant with patio seating. We had lunch here and were seated very quickly. Our server was friendly. I ordered a smoked bologna sandwich with potato salad. The bologna was a good inch thick! My husband ordered the Cuban sandwich filled with ham, pork and cheese. We would definitely go back. The pizza looked good so will need to try. read more

Honestly, I wasn't expecting much going into this place. My grandma and I dined here today and I am SO GLAD we did. Everything we ordered was fantastic. Food- it was ok. Just ok. I had baked ziti and the sauce was bland and, for the price, a very small portion. My wife's pizza had good toppings but, again, bland sauce and the crust was ehhh. Service was kinda hectic, as it normally is for his restaurants. Ambiance was extremely loud. read more

I reviewed Goodfellas around the time they opened. I needed to give an update since now I've gotten to try more things. I LOvE the Calzone. I sometimes order a cheese and sausage, onion and mushroom calzone. For me it's big enough for 3 meals. The marinara sauce is homemade and excellent. It is a bit spicy for me only because a lot of spice doesn't agree with me. I asked if they had anything a little less spicy besides Alfredo, so they gave me spaghetti sauce. Now I'm really in love with this place. It was perfect for me since I like a little sweeter sauce rather than spicy. When I get home I add a little brown sugar and for me perfect. I have also tried the Philly, fried mushrooms and a pizza. All excellent and truly homemade Italian. I have also ordered salads which have always been freshly made and they have a wide selection of dressings. I can't forget to tell u about desert. In their bakery case they have a very good variety and so far the Tiramisu is my favorite. I can't tell you how great it is to have an excellent Italian place close by to Tellico. I will tell you they have been very busy on weekends, so you may have to be a little patient picking up your order. If I have to wait a few extra minutes to pick up my food I can tell you it's worth it! The atmosphere is casual with plenty of seating inside or out. They have done an awesome job remodeling the building they are in. So if you r looking for Just some awesome Italian food and a comfortable place to eat it in you have found it. The Cuban was a delicious sandwich! This family owned restaurant has been open now for two weeks! The staff are great and care about the quality of food!
