Quite surprised with unprofessionalism and unhelpful behavior displayed by the pharmacy staff. I've had multiple instances where questions for the pharmacy were met with unprofessionalism. No matter how polite and succinct the communication to pharmacy staff is framed, I am always met with disdain. Never experienced that in other pharmacies in the city, including ones not part of a chain (i.e. CVS). Will rather go to Tribeca Apothecary and even HealthSource Pharmacy uptown to get better service. read more

I ventured here today to pick up some paper towels. To my delight, I saw Bounty and because they are relatively hard to come by in a post Covid world, I figured I'd grab one. However, to my ultimate dismay, I was informed it was $28! Yes, $28 for Bounty Paper towels when I'd say I need average you would could get this for about $14 or $15 bucks. After thinking about for awhile, I decided to grab what I thought was the $28 bounty, I was informed I grabbed the $35 one. $35 dollars for the 12 pack of double roll--this was utterly ridiculous and I just opted to get several of a cheaper quality paper towels. Back in March or April, I did see them on the news, for price gauging. I didn't think much of it because I had been to this location, as I used to work just a block away. The prices here were always great and never had an issue. (You can even see my previous top from 2017 stating that). This is the sole reason my review is a three and not a one for the ridiculous amount they are charging for Bounty paper towels. I saw a few other reviews who referenced seeing them on Pix 11 and I even read the responses from management and/or owner, but in this case, there is no justification for doubling the price, this is price gauging; however, as the consumer, you have the right to decline to pay the high premium a store is charging due to a pandemic, which was the right I exercised today. I'd return here in the future, but just not for paper towels! read more

I know ever pharmacist by name and they all know me - the staff is incredible and take amazing care of me and my prescriptions as well as informing me of any possible adverse effects - they let me know which medications I should take at night and which in the morning - they'll call me when a refill is due and deliver to my husband for me by Columbus circle from downtown !! I live in White Plains now and I will not even consider changing my pharmacy - James, Lawrence, Steve, Eugene, Brenda. Downtown Pharmacy is a neighborhood treasure - I wish I had discovered it earlier. After many years (too many) of frequenting Duane Reade and CVS, I had grown used to surly pharmacists who were incommunicative at best, and rude at worst. ( I understand they are overworked and stressed, but it shows.). So I tried an independent - Downtown Pharmacy, down the street from my apartment. There was a shortage of my medication, and I was leaving town the next week, so I was anxious about getting it filled in time. Pharmacist James was incredibly helpful in explaining my options for alternate dosages and what to tell my doctor so I could get the medication on time. Today, I picked it up! I live in the area and been going to them for 5 to 6 months for money orders (some businesses you don't feel comfortable giving checks to), once a month around the same time but Saturday the 18th around 11:40am, I went in and asked for a money order, I was told by a guy I've never seen before, "we don't give money orders on the weekend" (what business limits what they do on a weekend?) I thought that was odd. The following week on Friday I called and asked, do you do money orders, I was told "yes," I asked on weekends too? I was put on hold and was later told, "the money order machine isn't working. "The voice sounded like the same person I saw and spoke with that past weekend/Saturday. The entire ordeal seemed odd, I was told yes on the phone but when I asked about the weekends the money order machine isn't working. I'm not sure what the issue was, I'm just sharing my experience about a neiborhood business I will no longer go to. read more

This is the best pharmacy in the area. Not only is it convenient with several deals on personal and house hold items------ the staff is amazingly NICE and accommodating! The pharmacist are super cool--- don't give you any sideways look when filling whatever script---- AND if they don't have a drug or particular brand generic, they'll order it for you and have it in next day. I've been a customer here for 5 to 6 years - as long as I've been living downtown. They are incredibly convenient, giving me the ability to send prescriptions through email (I snap a pic and leave the hardcopy with my doorman) and pick it up at home (LOVE the option of delivery). The pharmacist has also been very helpful while helping me transfer a prescription there to Medco, which I would have NEVER done if my plan didn't have a penalty for filling ongoing medication outside of mail order. I will be VERY sad when I move away from Fidi! read more

No matter where we are, Downtown Pharmacy makes sure we get our medication. Downtown also relieves a lot of anxiety by dealing with our insurance. Downtown Pharmacy is one in a billion. Living in manhattan is very difficult, there are very few businesses that go out of their way to make your life easier, and this happens to be one that does. It is hard to find good service like that because there is such an expansive customer base in Manhattan, but Downtown Pharmacy has made me feel like I am their only customer, and have gone above and beyond to make sure to help in any way they can with pride and care. Even when they have completed their last delivery of the day, and I call in needing a medication well after that deadline, they came to the rescue and delivered it anyway. Finally I found a real pharmacy. I have to admit I wasn't sure how it was gonna go bc I was a Walgreens guy for years. But after Greg helped my son get a authorization for a very expensive medication and he took the time to explain the process I was sold. I text pictures of my prescriptions to them. They are ready in minutes not hours. They are super efficient and Greg understands so much about the medications we use and never tries to sell something we don't need. How often does a pharmacist actually come around the counter to explain medications and he even gave us some free probiotics for our son. Great service. Reliable. The way businesses should run. I come to this establishment almost daily to pick up snacks, today I encountered what had to have been the rudiest, most unfriendly, cashier. My advice is if you don't know how to be professional and provide exceptional customer service. You don't need to work with people. My co workers and I will not be returning. Needed a medical travel kit to keep medicine cold while traveling. Ordered one (and paid for it) on Thursday. It was promised by 4PM that same day. Told them I would come in Friday to pick it up (live in Brooklyn). Went in Friday - still not there. Was told it would be in Monday. Called Monday - still not there. Was told manager should not have promised it the same day. Now five days later, still waiting. They didn't care or even ask when I needed it. Was told "maybe delivery will come in Tuesday". Finally I found a place that I can honestly say has the best service of any pharmacy I have visited. You can actually speak to a very skilled and knowledgeable set of pharmacists who can answer a wide variety of questions. They help lower all my copays with coupon cards (something the big chains never did for me). Now that they have expanded hours I can see why this place draws so many customers. The place gets packed, but they still take time to say hello and answer any questions about my medications that I have. Not to mention they deliver all over the place and even fedex my medications to me while I was on vacation and left my blood pressure pills at home. Top notch guys - keep up the good work. read more
