Cookies n Cream Ice Cream, raspberry swirl

We got cookies n cream ice cream and a slice of sugar cookie dough. The cookie dough tasty but a lil salty. It was $4.99 a slice which seemed a lil much that you can buy a whole thing or ready to bake cookie dough at the store for the same cost and it wouldn't be salty. The lady working there was super sweet and said she opened her shop 4 years ago. I got the rasp berry ice cream which had chocolate raspberry buttons and raspberry swirls. It was pretty tasty. Cookies n cream, my daughter couldn't explain but she said she liked it.

Coffee Ice Cream with Chocolate Chunks

My friend and I dropped by here for a quick dessert after exploring the downtown area. There was only one person working when we arrived, and she was super sweet and helpful! I ordered the Chocolate Chip and Cookies & Cream dough (not pictured), as well as the Coffee Ice Cream with Chocolate Chunks. All were delicious!

I decided to post about this small business, because I am a small business owner. I understand the doubt and the fear that can consume you if you don't have faith. And when you have faith and you trust God, you do all things unto God. And that even means serving ice cream, or making the best homemade cookie dough in he country. The owner of this business has always shown up to support her community and she tirelessly supports her family. She had a dream and followed it. She faithfully serves and doesn't give up even though there are plenty of reasons to. I hope many others show up to support Downtown Dough dough, not only for the best service and best treats, but because we should always be cheering for the small business owners who answer mostly to Mom and Dad. Cheers to you, Cindy!

Locally owned by a very friendly and helpful Lady who makes the dough in house!! Lots of Gluten Free and Vegan options. I've cream and sorbet as well as cold drinks! We tried the chocolate chip cookie dough with a scoop of Mint Chocolate Chip and butter Pecan. Awesome flavor on the dough and ice cream-- perfect stop out of the hot sun to enjoy a sweet treat!

Went for a walk in downtown Chattanooga and stumbled into this spot on a warm muggy day. I ordered a macadamia nut dough and cookies and cream..The ice cream and dough were very tasty. The store owners were nice and greeted me warmly...

Fabulous. As a resident Chattanoogan with a big sweet tooth I have tried almost every desert place in Chatt and can say that the new Downtown Dough is up there with the best of them. The woman serving us (owner possibly?) was very kind and helpful. She told us about how the cookie dough is made and what makes it different from other competitions like the cookie dough store on northshore. The desserts itself were delicious. They tasted like actual cookie dough, not just some amalgamation that's scooped into an ice cream cup. The dough was COLD, authentic, and tasted like something straight from my mom's kitchen. I really hope this business takes off and has a successful run here in Chatt. It felt like I was at an old time fudge shop at the boardwalk but with the previously forbidden raw cookie dough as the main attraction. I'm also excited to see they have coffee, drinks, and banana popsicles which I'll have to go back for! tl;dr best cookie dough place in chattanooga, if you are caught up in the "craze" that's the no bake cookie dough and left feeling unsatisfied you will find that satisfaction here

My husband got the Lavender White Chocolate. Both were PHENOMENAL!!! The BEST hot chocolate I've ever had! Even better than my ex-MIL's!!! So freaking GOOD!! The barista who helped us was so kind and so helpful. We would have never tried anything lavender. The place had a really cool vibe. Get yourself to the Hot Chocolatier, PRONTO!!!

There were a lot of options as far as flavors, sizes, toppings, etc. I stuck with a 12 oz white hot chocolate with whipped cream. Now the white hot chocolate was fantastic. It was real white chocolate and it was a nice bit of sweetness. But the cheesecake was unfortunately disappointing. I don't know if it was over baked or over beaten or what but it had a rubbery jello like texture that's not appealing in the mouth when expecting something different. I could only have two bites before giving up on the $9 slice. I'm torn on this review. And this is because I was so excited and hopeful to try the cute hot chocolate place with desserts that I wanted to love it. But was so disappointed with my dessert. The hot chocolate was fantastic and that being their key thing is what I would try again. But I'd probably never reorder a baked dessert from them as they are not necessarily cheap and I wouldn't want to be disappointed when there are other treat options around the area. The space itself is mountainy fun candy cottage vibe. Serves the purpose of having somewhere to enjoy the treats you've ordered inside.

Milk & Honey is known as the best of the best for brunch in Chattanooga, and after eating here I…read morestand by that statement. I remember back in the day when Milk & Honey had late hours. One time my parents and I came here after dinner for their gelato, and it was so delicious. We were all very impressed with the consistency and how smooth it was. So I've only had their gelato after all these years. This time I came for brunch with a friend on Sunday morning. It was packed and we got on the waiting list for a table. Wait time wasn't too bad actually. My friend and I both ordered the Hodgepodge Hash and I subbed the sausage for chicken sausage. Everything was absolutely amazing. I wish I had come here sooner. I loved everything about my meal. It was flavorful, dynamic, full of texture. It had that spice from the serrano peppers, crispy and flavorful potatoes, and the sauce tied it all together. I love savory breakfast, and that was it. Now I'm hungry and missing my previous meal just writing about it haha. Afterwards, we got gelato! I was pleasantly surprised that the gelato came with two scoops because I originally just wanted the coffee flavored one. So I had a scoop of Coffee + Cream and Pistachio. Our gelato was so tasty. I love anything coffee so this one was good, and the Pistachio one was nice and light. It had a subtle Pistachio creamy taste. Just as before, the gelato was smooth, creamy, and full of flavor. Service was great, our waiter was very friendly and super helpful with our food preferences. I have no complaints at all about our experience, and I love every single thing we ordered. I can't imagine a better place to spend Sunday brunch. I look forward to the next time I'm back, thank you!

Please take this review with a grain of salt. Today was probably not an exemplary day for Milk &…read moreHoney. Mother's Days are challenging, but I think where they hurt themselves the most is that they do not have a method to take reservations or even call ahead seating. Wait times were often in excess of an hour listening to other people waiting to be seated. That's a horrible experience on its face, and the management of this restaurant needs to do much much better or just close on Mother's Day. Next, we'll get to the food. I doubt it was a shining example of what they are capable of. I got the Shakshuka and it was mediocre. I'm not expecting it to be as good as what I would get in Tel Aviv, and I've had the real thing in Tel Aviv. But to be honest, the eggs came out nearly hard-boiled not poached. And the eggs are one of the stars of the show for this dish. If you don't get them right, the entire dish fails. Next will touch on the chicken and waffles. The observation from my tablemate was that it was dry and he didn't even eat it all. The same thing can be said for my other tablemate who had the chicken biscuit. The biscuit was exemplary, but the chicken was dry and actually overcooked. Then there were the omelettes, I don't believe they were impressive in any way and the people that ordered them agree. For those of us at the table that ordered coffee, it was rather strong. I normally like strong coffee, but this was borderline Turkish coffee, and there wasn't enough cream available to mask the potency. The service was also stretched thin. Our server, Destiny, did her best, but she was waiting too many tables. Having once been a waitermyself I have a special affinity for Service staff who are asked to do too much. We left her a good tip, but I'm sure she is capable of much better service than what she was allowed to deliver. Finally, the overwhelming crowd made the restaurant feel claustrophobic. The noise level was far too high, and we could barely hear one another at our table and we were sitting very close to one another. I don't place the blame on the kitchen, staff, or the wait staff, or even the greeters. This was a fail of management, plain and simple. They made no contingency plans for that many people and should have anticipated a larger crowd on Mother's Day. Management -I challenge you to do better!!! We will come back during a normal Service day to see if you can perform better, but I encourage you, as owners and managers, to stop setting your staff up for failure, which is what you did!
