What happened to this place? Only a few years ago, Downtown Donuts was the best place bar none to get fresh made donuts in Enterprise. Just went this morning only to find burned donuts (apple fritter), super grease-soaked cinnamon roll, and a lack of quality in general. I'm bummed because this was a family fav for a long time, but I'm not going to go back. Quality has slipped to the point that I'm guessing the recipes are different or someone else is baking them now? Sadly, this is the end of my trips to Downtown unless they can turn it around. read more

This place is a rip off! My husband thought he would surprise me this morning and bring home donuts before I woke up. I was certainly surprised. He was charged $15.26 for a boxed dozen and was forced to have 4 of them plain glazed. Apparently there are no mix and match. You can only choose 4 from each case to complete your box. Locally, Daylight doughnuts charge $11 for specialty donuts, Krispy Kreme in Dothan is $9.25, and Dunkin' Donuts is less than $14 and none of them force which case to choose your donuts from. If these had been AMAZING doughnuts, the price may have been a little easier to take. However, the are mediocre. I have traveled a lot and my husband is from Massachusetts. There are many, many more places out there with much better doughnuts. The cinnamon roll type was too dry to eat, the plain glazed left an artificial after taste, and the long john was worse than purchasing a day old Krispy Kreme in a convenience store. They give the appearance that they are the "best in town" by advertising that way and closing when they "run out". From our opinion they are terribly over priced for the low quality donuts that are supposed to be designer best. We will not be back. read more

Downtown Donuts is really delicious and fresh. It taste better than another donut place, in my opinion. I normally don't drive out here but, my husband does. Today I decided to make the drive out there and with my luck the card reader was down. As I walked in with my two boys I wasn't greeted right away (no biggie) but there was a couple getting their card read and then me and my two boys. A lady walked in after me and got her order taken. She paid cash which (again not a big deal) was easy because it was in and out. What I didn't appreciate is that she was taken care of before me. And I ended up waiting a little bit because the guy behind the counter said he was downloading the app again so I wasn't in a rush and was going to give it another minute. Well the kid behind the counter ended up just handing the bag over to the couple, the card app reader wasn't working and it wasn't anyone's fault but, it was just crappy that I made the drive, had someone cut in line and not get offered anything for the wait. I didn't and do not expect that but, a simple acknowledgement that someone was aware that we were there and waited. This place still has great donuts though. read more

Long chocolate bars are my favorite but theirs are super heavy and dense making them almost too rich to eat. A lot of the others are great. The last time I went in and ordered a dozen donuts and specifically asked if there was cream filling in each one before I picked them and was told "no". Favorite donut place around the Ft. Rucker area!! I've tried Daylight Donuts and even the donut shop in Daleville and these guys are still the best!! They are maybe 1 or 2 dollars pricier but they are definitely worth it. The donuts are bigger and taste amazing. Unbelievable!!! A friend of mine just brought some of their doughnuts to work this morning. I've had doughnuts from Krispy Kreme, Dunkin Donuts, Publix, and other places. None were as good as these. Great variety and all of them delicious. Especially liked the maple bacon ones. I went to Downtown Donuts today. I wouldn't recommend eating in, because it is a small space and feels crowded. They have a few small pieces to sample near the register, which is nice if it's your first time trying the donuts, like me. I ordered a raspberry filled and a chocolate covered donut filled with cream. I started speaking with the worker about how my friend told me to try the red velvet (which I thought they were out of) and she brought me one from the back! My husband had the cream filled and said it was way too sweet, I tried it and agree. My son had the raspberry filled and he liked, I liked it as well. The red velvet donut had a good flavor, but my jaw had a work out trying to eat it. It was expensive compared to Daylight Donuts, but I think we will be back. read more

First time going here and will not be returning. Went in the morning time. The older gentleman working who seemed to be the owner made me feel uncomfortable and rushed. He didn't ask if I was ready he just let me know he was ready. There was Nats and flies in the donut case which wasn't a big deal since it was busy and I could see the door opening and closing alot. But he was tryin kill them in the case while attempting to take my order. While I was there he was getting onto the employees who clearly were working. He clearly doesn't know how to speak to his employees. I felt bad for these kids who had to put up with this. Donuts were good but the overall experience was not. read more
