Tony the receptionist was a piece of shit witch not helpful at all and accuses people of lying.

I have AAA Plus Road service for Our cars. The plus means up to a 100 mile tow. My truck developed fuel problems and I couldn't drive it and had no idle. So I parked it and called. The AAA agent said one hour and it was two. When the driver was on the way I got text updates and he called me also. Thanks. On arrival, after proof of membership and identity it went fast. He came with a flatbed and took it to my mechanic across town. Any other Situation would have been bad. It was 114 degrees F here today. Towing is always by the mile and the initial hook up. This is a AAA Authorized tow provider and it cost me nothing but time. Nice driver, born the same year my truck was built. 1987. I must be getting old. LOL read more

I called AAA 3 days ahead of the time my car had to be to the dealer for repair. I was told to call an hour ahead. When I called this morning I had to survive what seemed like at least 10 minutes of recordings from AAA before I finally got to speak with a live person. The person on the other end said the average time was 90 minutes. Luckily Luke from Downtown Auto Center arrived in about 15 minutes and was able to have our car to the dealer in plenty of time for the dealer to tell me it will be 5 days before they can even do the diagnostics on the car. YEAH! Luke did a great job. As for the dealer... it is what it is and the service center at the dealer was REALLY busy. They can't help that. Actually, that's good for them. Not so much for me. Bottom line is I was very happy with Luke and Downtown Auto Center. read more

Chance helped me when my car was stopped in the middle of an intersection. Literally saved my life outta nowhere pls give him a raise !!

Truthfully I have used downtown auto center for paid service one time with no issues. They repaired a truck for my daughter and had it running quick. But I have also been there two other times were they fixed the problems so quickly that they did not even charge me. Once my wife was in the area and had a loose wire that caused engine issues. They opened the hood saw the issue, plugged it in and no charge. Another time I had a dead battery on my motorcycle in the area and I was unable to get anyone to give me a jump. I managed to push it over, expecting to pay for a jump and they were closed. But they staff brought me in and jumped the bike, again no charge. Friendly and positive staff. My only issue is I live too far away to use regularly. read more

Only gave one star because I had waited 4 hours for road side assistence on a flat tire. The driver KALEB arrived and stated he did not have a air compresser so could not put air in a flat tire, claimed to not have tools, and could not tow the car. Completely pointless. Go somewhere else if you need a real professional that can actually help you. read more

A friend got stuck in gravel and Tyler and Chase were fantastic. They quickly got the car pulled out and then immediately (and correctly) identified that rocks were stuck in the brakes and heat shields preventing one of the wheels from turning. Once it turned again they spent an additional twenty minutes making sure they got all of the rocks knocked loose until the car drove without any more squealing noises. Incredible customer service, and I'd highly recommend them. read more

We had a freak lockout situation with one our family vehicles. Via AAA, Downtown Auto had us into our car within 90 minutes of our initial service request. Caleb, who assisted us, was friendly, very competent and professional. read more

Tow truck driver Alex was so kind, he showed up 30 mins earlier then AAA stated they would be there, said give me about 15 mins to load the truck onto the flat bed and he had it done in under then 10mins, not to mention was concerned if we needed some water to drink! Outstanding customer service was provided and I will make sure AAA knows of the great service I was given!!! read more

I was quoted $230.00 for a tow, a $100.00 for the hook up and five dollar a mile for twenty five miles for the total of 225.00. The person talked on the phone said $230.00 and I okay it. When the truck got off loaded, I asked about the charges and for reciept. The driver said it would be $265.00, I asked about the mileage and it was under 25 miles. The driver called his dispatch and said there was a out of area service fee. I know $35.00 isn't the end of the world, but was quoted $230.00 for a 25 mile tow. Then top all that off I didn't even get a reciept. Not happy! read more

If it were possible to rate them less than 1 star, I'd do it. AAA has been advised of how terrible this company is, yet they still use them. The tow driver, Joseph, was rude immediately upon arrival. Perhaps he was being lazy and looking to get out of doing a job at the end of the day. He refused to tow my truck 5 minutes away from my home to Discount Tire because I have temporary tags on my vehicle (come to find out that's a AAA policy apparently), yet despite my inquiry to Joseph, he immediately claimed I was "hostile" 30 seconds into arriving?? Go figure. Racial profiling at its worst. read more

I was new to town and needed to tow my car from my house to the automotive shop. My call was promptly answered and the driver arrived much faster than I expected. Driver was super friendly, truck was clean and he even offered me ICE COLD water. Ive had a few bad experiences in the past with tow truck companies and was very happy to find one that was professional and friendly. I would highly recommend them to any of my friends and family. read more

Joseph from Downtown Auto Center has been dispatched twice now from AAA emergency services. Both times he was exceptionally kind, knowledgeable, and helpful in my stressful car moments. I am so thankful to have been in his care! read more

I wish I could give a 1/4th of a star. Complete scam. Scummiest tow company I've ever had the pleasure of dealing with. If they see another tow company is picking up your car they'll swoop right in and tow you out from under them. And charge you twice the amount. I don't know how these folks sleep at night. I will not stop letting the good people of tucson know about this terrible establishment. read more

We contacted Downtown Auto Center for a very sensitive job. My in-laws have two old collector cars that were taking up valuable space in their garage, and they're unable to maintain them or even drive them anymore. We delicately suggested that we move the cars across town to our house, and they agreed to do it. Frank from Downtown came out and was so professional, kind and careful. It made what could have been a very emotional and difficult experience a very enjoyable and positive one. We are so very grateful. Thank you!!! read more

The best roadside assistance in Tucson. Thank you Jason! You went above and beyond for us! Thanks you Downtown Auto!

We winter in Arizona and recently called AAA for a tow when our car hit a big rock in the road and blew out a tire. Matthew from Downtown Auto arrived earlier than we were told and did a great job towing the vehicle to the dealership service center. He was friendly, helpful, and very efficient. Thanks to our AAA membership there were no charges for the tow; wish I could have said the same for the tire and rim repair. Thank you, Matthew! read more

My son drove from LA to Tucson, and his car overheated the minute he hit town. He called Triple A and Downtown Auto's truck came quickly, and towed his car. They were able to diagnose the problems, find replacement parts at salvage yards, thereby saving him some money, and repaired his car in 2 days. He then drove from Tucson to New York City without a problem. I want to thank Brad, the tow truck driver, and Kenny, the mechanic, for being so helpful and NICE!!! This mom is very thankful that her son made it to NY safely and w/o additional repairs being necessary. I would definitely recommend this auto center! Gail, Tucson read more

Amazing customer service, kept me updated on arrival time through phone calls and showed up at the time I was told they would be there and the driver Chris was very friendly introduced himself and treated us very professionally. Nice to find a company that keeps customers satisfaction a priority! Definitely adding them to my list of contacts and will recommend them to everyone. read more

A company that knows the meaning of customer service. I called for a tow and the dispatcher sounded genuinely bothered that it might take an hour before he could get a truck to me as they were all on calls. He asked me if that would be OK, and I replied fine. He said he would call me if there was a delay. Instead, he called to let me know EARLIER than expected that a truck could be at my location in 15 minutes if that would work for me, to which, of course, I said yes. The driver was very courteous, and professional, taking care of my needs quickly and perfectly. He made certain to let me know where he left the key and to say "good day" before he left my mechanic's shop. read more

You rarely call a towing service on a good day and this time was no exception. But Matthew from Downtown Auto Center & Towing was so professional and friendly that I almost forgot I was having a really bad day. My car and I got safely to our destination, I learned all about his scruffy little pup and I got a chance to chill a bit before having dealing with the repair shop. Thank you , Matthew! I hope I never need towing again, but if I do.....I'm asking for you! read more

Driver Jacob arrived early and did an impressive job in getting our large minivan out of a tight underground garage with an short S-curve exit. Also very personable, friendly, and professional. read more

Unbelievably good! All stars. Kenneth, the driver, arrived so fast that I was on hold with AAA longer than it took for him to get here once they called him. I am impressed. Service was not only prompt, but relaxed and friendly. Thank you, Downtown Auto Center! read more

Calling AAA to get a tow they sent out this company!! I asked this company to send a flat bed tow truck after they dragged my car out of the parking lot with out me being there!! The car was locked in park with the emergency brake on!! After the drive told me it would be a hour to get there I said ok then gave him the keys. He then against my wishes towed my car not on a flat bed bed with a repo truck. After damaging my car talking to the company I was belittled and treated like I'm uneducated idiot for asking for clarification for why my wishes were ignored. read more

My car over heated on the side of the road. I called another tow company to come pick it up they put a sticker on tge car. Downtown tow called DPS to complain about it being abounded so they could tow it. They went a head and did so to steal the tow from the company I had already called. What kind of company scams people like that? Why would you do such a thing to people? I tried calling and was left on hold until they hung up on me. Tried to call back and now all I'm getting is ringing. Terrible company. I will also be reporting this to the BBB. read more

Great job, I've used Downtown Auto Center in the past when my vehicle broke down, they were fast, friendly, and took great care of my vehicle. Great Job !!!!!! read more

With two old cars, we don't worry about car payments, but once or twice a year something quits and we need to call a tow truck. We've used Downtown at least twice now. Both times they beat their arrival estimates, and deliver courteous, efficient service. Most recently we called them at noon on a Sunday during Labor Day weekend. We were told he would be there in 45 minutes to an hour. "Alpha" showed up about 35 minutes later, got our heavy SUV out of a tight parking spot, loaded us up, and got our car home (across town) in record time. Nice guy, too: just what you need on a broiling hot day! Highly recommended. read more

Thank you Frank! Professional, knowledgable and friendly. Short wait time for a tow. Great customer service.

I had recently been towed about 120 miles with the towing service through AAA. I was originally a bit apprehensive about spending two hours in the company of a tow truck driver due to their typical reputation but boy was I surprised. My driver was incredibly intelligent, cultured, and an all around pleasure to talk to. He talked almost the entire way sharing exciting stories and we never had an awkward silence. At the end of the journey I had not only learned a lot from my driver, but I had safely gotten my vehicle home. It really turned a bad situation into a positive experience that I will not soon forget. read more
