We enjoyed our visit for the most part. The only reason we didn't give 5 stars is because we just didn't like the pizza. Kids shared a cheese pizza. After the first bite, the oldest declared it was the worst pizza he ever had. Everyone else had a bite and the consensus was that the crust was just meh. It tastes like water and flour were mixed together and dusted with cornmeal. The chicken bites were delicious, as were the fries. You get a lot in each order, so don't order one order per person. Greek salad was good, as were the sandwiches and beer. They do serve "regular" sodas, but they aren't listed in a menu anywhere. We got bottled sodas from the refrigerator by the ordering counter because we didn't know better. read more

This has got to be one of my favorite coffee shops I have ever been to. The ambience takes all but the coffee itself was amazing! I took my whole family here and each one of us ordered a different coffee and loved it! Such a nice place for views, coffee and food. The food had a long wait time so I cannot speak for that as we did not order any. However it looked good from what I saw of others eating. I cannot stress how much I love this place! Service and ambiance were great. I didn't have a beer, but people seemed to enjoy it. I had a Greek salad, and it was good. I also had the chicken wings. They are full size and smoked, not deep fried. When I got them, they were not hot. I only ate two of them, but about 20 minutes after leaving, I started feeling sick. This place really took a.....downshift from when it was The Hidden Tap. Really though, I'm trying to give them some grace. But on a Sunday at 2pm, the place was not half full, it took over 45 minutes to get an order of chicken tenders. Which I was prepared to say were fine, but I cannot. One of mine was so underdone it was still raw inside. I can tell they are understaffed, but that's just too long for a basket or fried chicken tenders, I'm sorry . The staff was nice and I will say the ambiance was awesome, as they played some post-hardcore and indie stuff I wouldn't expect at a restaurant. But their menu lost most of my favs it had when it was the hidden tap and what they do have just isn't worth the wait, especially if it's not prepared correctly. read more

Large group went on a Friday afternoon to get in the AC from the warm weather, grab a small bite to eat, and get a few cold beverages. The staff is friendly, food is okay for a brewery, and the beers are decent. After frequenting a few spots in Ruidoso, this may be the best spot to grab a cold beer with a family. Pizza is salty, tasteless and overcooked. Beer is ok. I first had the some American IPA and it was nasty as crap. I tried the snow day and told her other one was nasty. The bartender admitted that it was the last beer and the bottom of the barrel which is why it was nasty but I didn't get offered a free beer. I had been to the taproom further down the street where I had breakfast and was served rotten bacon. It smelled so bad from he plate. I know they had to have smelled it served it any anyway. The elk burger was the bomb.com. Lost hiker Ruidoso Blonde Ale is the #1 local beer and is very good. Also Skrew-CoCo is is the absolute way to go on a cold day. 10/10 would recommend. Great outdoor seating as well with heaters as they do not have the indoor seating open due to COVID. read more

We're visiting from Austin, Tx. Our first night here, we decided we just wanted something easy and fast. Went to this place. The bartender was unfriendly, bordering on rude. Our pizza took about 30 minutes to come out, there was about 6-8 people in there, so it wasn't busy. That pizza was so awful, I would bet my life they served us a frozen pizza. It was awful. Hands down the worst pizza we've ever had. The only redeeming thing was their IPA was very good. Otherwise, do yourself a favor and stay away from this place! read more

Only stopped in for a beer - no food reviewed here. Neil (Neal?) bartended for us and did a fine job. After trying a couple of samples that were readily offered up, I settled on an amazing milk stout. I've enjoyed a few of these before and this one went toe to toe with any of them. Sadly, I'm an idiot and forgot the brewery's name. It was out of Albuquerque. We explored the cool interior with its several arcade games, which included such vintage hits as Pac-Man and Skee Ball ("Beer Ball"). Cool interior, but the patio held more appeal to us. It was tiered along the side of the building, walking up steps along the angle of the street. Neat. Each little sitting area was on its own tier and separated from the others by wood paneling. I'd stop in here again in a heartbeat. Love that the beers were all from New Mexico, cool interior, cool bartender with good service, and cool patio. Note that we stopped by on a Wednesday afternoon, so it was not crowded. read more

Everything we tried was amazing. Probably the best coffee in town. We had quiche and bagel sandwich for breakfast, both delicious. For lunch we tried appetizers-poutine for my Canadian husband (which he loved!) and spinach dip which was equally delicious. Try it! You won't regret it. read more
