    two pints on a table

This is our go to spot whenever we're in Lincoln. The staff is very friendly the beers are always on point and they have a nice selection of wine as well.

I'd already started drinking, but I liked this glass. Also ordered chips and salsa.

This is an excellent little brewery in the middle of a historic town in New Mexico (home to Billy the Kid...where you can now find a Billy the Kid Amber). I saw a sign about a Lincoln brewery on the wall of the Roswell airport, and I thought, "That's interesting." Lincoln is a town that I visited as an elementary school student and once in college to stay at a bed and breakfast. Who goes to Lincoln?! Well, luckily today we did! En route to the mountains for a day hike, I saw a sign (they were closed at 10am, understandably), but I called post hike at 3:30pm and they were open! We stopped by and it's great! Outdoor picnic tables for warm(er) weather, a mic set up for live music on the weekends, a cute little bar area, and a great selection of beer and wine! I tried a cider- 'twas good, thought it would be a winner, but then I asked to taste a pecan beer and OH MAN. It was one of the best beers I've ever had. Both my dad and I got one, plus some chips and salsa to share. Also, the bartender was really friendly and helpful, and it felt like a homey kind of place. Ps. Their bathroom has a tub in it. Very fancy. Coming from the east coast, $5 for a pint of craft beer is unheard of. This place is such a great find. Make your way out here - it's the perfect spot for a post-hike reward.

Cool location and excellent beers brewed on-site. The 10-Point IPA and the Black IPA were my particular favorites of the 4-5 I tasted.

I really enjoy writing a review like this - In the midst of a 5k mile ride on my bike, I was riding through a very beautiful area of New Mexico, just a small town that I had to 'reduce speed' for, and happened to glance over and saw a sign that I thought said BREWERY! Well I had to stop and check it out- Enjoying the first beer, I was telling the first gentlemen about my ride when he realized I didn't know where I was and asked me to step outside- as we did, he pointed out the Billy the Kid landmarks to my amazement - I just stumbled into this historical little town! Pretty cool! Enjoying my second beer, another gentlemen joined and they began to tell me how they started this brewery- just 3 friends who enjoyed beer and decided to start brewing for themselves then the town. I love it! I was pleasantly surprised to see that they had 5 beers they brewed, plus 4 other brands. I stopped at a couple of small breweries on my trip and none had more than 2. The nature of my trip actually provided an opportunity to stop by again, but unfortunately they were closed - so bummed!! (guys, I made it to the Owl this time though, you were right, great green chile cheeseburger!) This is such a cool place, it is worth making your way here - take some time and enjoy this place. I will be back.

Lescombes Winery & Bistro - Bistro Comfort Without Leaving the Room…read more After a full day hiking around White Sands National Park and a quick wine tasting, we hit that point where getting dressed for dinner felt like too much effort. Delivery it was, and Lescombes came through. Ordering was easy, delivery was quick, and the packaging? Surprisingly solid. The kind of containers that make you feel like your food might actually survive the journey intact. Small victory, big appreciation. We went with Brussels sprouts, pecan pesto and marinara meatballs, and a roasted beet salad. Everything was fresh, flavorful, and satisfying. The standout was definitely the pecan pesto meatballs. Rich, balanced, and honestly the kind of dish that makes you pause mid-bite. The only thing missing? A proper glass of Cabernet to go with it. That felt like a missed opportunity on our part. One small note, the utensils didn't quite match the quality of the rest. A bit flimsy and underwhelming compared to the sturdy containers. Not a dealbreaker, but an easy upgrade that would elevate the whole experience. All in all, a great option when you want something a little nicer without leaving your room. Sometimes the best dinner is the one you don't have to get dressed for.

Their wine bottle prices weren't ridiculously high and they offered charcuterie platters and cheese trays- yum! My husband and I each had 5 tastings to better sample their varietals. We were both floored with the Demigod. Their curtain call was also made our top 3 list. If you go, you just try their hatch chili wine!! While we both preferred their green hatch, the red was different and might better suit others palates. Their sweet wines are definitely sweet and would please those with that as their preference. We loved this place so much we became wine members. Daniel was amazing! He was very knowledgeable, down to earth and made us feel like VIPs from the get go.

The other section has the bar, here you can enjoy various items such as their charcuterie board which is delicious or buy some bottles of wine to-go or to enjoy in store. The service is always friendly and they do have various specials/deals on certain days of the week. Called inquiring about reservations, told it's first come first serve and I should expect about a 15-20 min wait. Showed up, 3 adults w/ 3 kids at 5:30. Was told I was the 2nd name behind an 11 top, and should be able to be seated in 5 min due to a few tables just waiting to be cleared upstairs. 20 mins later I watched them clear a 6 top at the front door downstairs, then split it so they could seat two tables of 4 who had shown up after my family. After waiting another 10 min I asked about how long we were looking at, the woman at the door told me she would go upstairs and check on the table, she returned to inform me that I was now looking at probably 20 min before we could be seated. We left... I don't know if the elderly woman working as a hostess at the door is an owner, a wife, family friend, or simply a pity hire due to her old age, but she has no business working customer service at a restaurant. She lied to me and several other groups about wait times, and seating availability only to double down several times about how soon we will be seated. She obviously has zero idea about how food service works, customer service relations, or kitchen service/food service times. Side note: an obviously drunk group of six made their way in during my wait, the bartender had no issue serving them, fingers crossed they weren't driving home, but I doubt anyone is that lucky.

We came in a Monday about 40 minutes before closing and it seemed like they were getting ready to end the night. No one else was in the restaurant though there were a couple people at the bar. We told them we just wanted something fast and would be in and out quickly and were seated quickly at a booth. Our waitress was amazing and still kind and energetic though it was the end of day. Free bread with garlic balsamic olive oil, bread was warm and they were very generous with the amount of dried garlic. Margherita pizza: we picked the most standard one and it was odd. Instead of cheese and fresh basil it had slices of tomato and dried basil. Crust was underdone and there was way too much cheese on it. Italian nachos: Crispy pasta chips, black olives, pepperoncinis, Roma tomatoes, jalapeños, Alfredo sauce, mozzarella and parmesan. We had it with chicken and it was interesting but drowning in Alfredo sauce.
