I would say that most of his patients are breast cancer survivors who are trying to look as normal as possible. When you are going through the cancer diagnosis to the reconstruction process, it really does make a difference in a person's recovery to see other medical people smile & happy to see you. There was no explanation of what the testing stations were - just a "put your chin here". By the time I got to Dr Nash (who did none of the examining) I already felt uneasy. He sat across the room and didn't seem to hear why I had come in. There were some attempts at upsell of services I didn't need. At that point, my trust level was zero. If you're looking for thorough, patient-centered eye care, I'd recommend going elsewhere. Oh yeah, and they solicit Google reviews if you need further examples of unprofessionalism.

When I was released he promised me I'd be put back together in 6-8 weeks. So at the 8 week mark, I called him and now he wants me to get a colonoscopy before I get put back together. So I had the colonoscopy April 1st and I call doctor Brakstad's office every week to try to schedule my final surgery and they say he's not here and that they'll take a message and get back to me. Well it's been 3 weeks and they haven't gotten back to me. Now I have to go through the hassle of finding somewhere else to put my intestines back together. I'm lucky I have such an understanding girlfriend.

The horrible performance of his staff drove me to find someone else to perform my surgery. When making appointment, I told the person I spoke with they would need to get hold of archived records from my earlier breast cancer treatment. She said, no problem, they would arrange that. Arrived for first meeting/consultation with Dr. Brakstad - no records were on hand. Left that meeting (on a Friday) having been told that on Monday I would hear from the plastic surgeon he recommends, and that we would move forward with scheduling surgery for the following week. By Wednesday morning, having heard nothing, I call the plastic surgeon's office to see if I can move things along. They have never heard of me, and tell me next week is now booked up. She'll check with Brakstad's office and get back to me. By end of that day, still have heard nothing. From anyone. I guess it's time to go back to the drawing board and find someone else to remove the cancerous tumor from my breast. I sure do hope the two weeks I've wasted on this disorganized operation are not the window of time when cancer cells will have a chance to migrate to other parts of my body.

When my longtime PCP left Kaiser several months ago, I wondered whether I would be able to find another doctor with the same level of dedication and mutual respect that I value in a physician-patient relationship. Today I met Dr. Martin Levine and came away very impressed. He is an exceptional listener and was fully present during our visit. His questions about my medical history and current health were thoughtful and specific rather than routine or generic. What impressed me most was the thoughtfulness of his clinical judgment--his questions clearly reflected a careful effort to understand the full picture of my health. His manner was relaxed, professional, and genuinely caring, and I left the appointment feeling confident that my health is in very capable hands. I feel fortunate to have found Dr. Levine and am very pleased to call him my primary care physician.

Dr. Globerman is a wonderful caregiver and carefully helps us orchestrate the specialist care we need from time to time as we age. His nurse, Richard, is a very efficient fellow who apologizes for any waiting periods, keeps us informed and covers the intake bases to allow Dr. G to spend quality time with me. Learning to navigate the KP system can be a bit challenging, but just a short period of looking through the websites and it becomes clear how to get what I need. We are blessed to have such good care. Anyone complaining about KP hasn't done their homework. We analyze the Medicare options in great detail each year and KP is very competitive on price, but our healthcare team continues to deliver great care! Thanks so much.
