My problem was choosing the malt extract: "No problem, just pick the lightest." They were a little low on whole wheat berry varieties, but I didn't need anything special. Making me think that I should invest in a mill. They had 00 flour, too.! Completely unexpected. For brewers, the encyclopedic stock of malted grains and yeast, along with brewing apparatus must make this a popular destination. We didn't arrive until after 7 on a Thursday night and the place was almost empty (just two small groups and two staff) but it was perfect for us! On a cold and wet winter day we went for the stout and brown ales while ordering the Meat sourdough pizza and spinach salad. Friendly staff and quick service that you carry to an open picnic table. Loved watching the fire-grilled pizza cook and the salad was definitely a shareable size. Indoors there are two TV monitors with one showing football and the other showing social media posts. Overall vibe is very relaxed and welcoming. We tried to go here in the summer but it gets busy quickly as it is family -friendly with outdoor cornhole places and also some live music sometimes.
