It reminded me of cafeteria spaghetti, but not the bad kind you groan about when you see it on the menu, the kind that has you running to the cafeteria to beat everyone else. The spicy cabbage is just that, SPICY. I was only able to eat a few bites, but even under all that spice the flavor was excellent. The catfish strips were hot and tender. They even threw in an extra or two. Now the server, he was amazing. He greeted us promptly and went above and beyond. I have not had such a positive experience with a server at any restaurant I've been to in a long time. I didn't catch his name, but he was brilliant. The restaurant was clean, food was fresh, and plenty of seating. I'm very excited to visit here again!

The side salad was $6 for chopped iceberg lettuce with a few tomatoes, some cheese and a ranch packet. My husband's jambalaya was soup in a styrofoam lid container.. and they forgot my coleslaw. So I called a man answered. (The owner). I tried to explain the situation to him and he was very rude. He interrupted me before I could even finish what the issue was with the food, to tell me he was not going to give us a refund. "That we ordered a to-go order and that's what fast food is." We paid $50. Just like any other sit down, paying customer would for their food, only to get poor quality food, very poor customer service and a very RUDE owner. The owner told us to bring all the food back. We arrived at the restaurant after closing time 9pm. The owner said "if the food looks good to me, i'm not going to give you a refund." Mind you me and my husband had maybe 4 bites of the food on each entree to try it as we have NEVER been to the restaurant before. He said "It looks good to me. What do you want? Do you want money?" I said no. I'd like better customer service but since you offered that would be very nice of you. The owner gave me $20 from his wallet and then tried to take all of the food that we purchased. I told him if he wanted to keep ALL the food then he can give me a full refund... he refused. I had to ask him to stop yelling at me 2 times while in the restaurant, that I am pregnant and food should NEVER be this stressful. I DO NOT RECOMMEND THIS PLACE AT ALL!

This place has been around for a number of years....and is about the only place we have for Cajun…read moredishes. That fact in itself...is gonna have me giving a bit of latitude to the place...as it's great to have a Cajun option in Spfd. Dirty rice is a pretty good dish. Going with the spicy option...sure ensures the dish is flavorful. Their compound butter with the side of bread they serve - it's pretty darn good. And if you want something crazy...that you wouldn't expect to hear: the pork tenderloin sandwich is an excellent rendition of a pork tenderloin sandwich. Lastly...the place clicks along well service-wise. The owner's daughter works the place many days - and she is a pleasant bright spot to the place.

The fish tank bar is absolutely amazing--the aquarium backdrop is beautiful and makes having a drink there feel like part of the experience. Sitting at that gorgeous aquarium-backed bar with a cocktail after a full day of exploring was the perfect ending. Definitely worth stopping in, even if it's just for a drink and the view!
