After experiencing one of the We The Pizza book tour events and tasting the pizza samples I knew ordering a pizza was needed ASAP. Definitely a "premium product". I got half cheese half veggie pizza, cauliflower bites & fries. Everything was delicious!!

The inside is nice and clean, I wish I'd grabbed photos. (Will on next visit). The service was quick since I ordered for pickup and had a great small chat. The pizza was hitting on some! I'm not a big fan of deep dish but this was a great deep dish for me. The sauce was good, the cheese was great, and the pepperonis brought it all together. The dough was fluffy and soft b it had a nice crust on the edges to give a crunch. Will definitely be back, and the pizza size regardless of what other reviews say is big enough lol, it's a deep dish, 1 pizza is shareable.

I am such a pizza connoisseur lol I have tried many many pizza places in the city and was told Down North Pizza was a staple and that I had been missing out... If you've read my reviews before than you know I love a good challenge so what did I do? I had to check them out! Luckily I found them on Uber Eats and the pizza was delivered in 30 minutes--My kind of service; quick and easy!! When I opened that box and took my first bite BABYYYYYY I felt like I was claiming my "Book It" reward for a personal pan pizza back in 2000--I know yall remember when Pizza Hut used to give reading incentives to students... They need to bring back stuff like this... Anywho, every bite was a nostalgic trip down memory lane. The buttery pizza dough, caramelized edges, juicy cheese and house sauce (cause I can tell it had a little spin on it) was immaculate. 10 out of 10!! Closest thing to an authentic Chicago deep dish here in Philly. I wish they were open during the week

Some recommended this place. I was in the area, so I called in my Oder Parking: Residential Street Atmosphere: small, bright with nice wall decor. You can dine in as well as takeout. You have to use a card in order to place an order over the phone. Service: It was good. The cook and counter guy was going back and forth about inventory, so that was a little uncomfortable, but Pizza: I ordered their popular Roc The Mic, which is 4 Cheese + Beef Pepperoni + Norf Sauce (spicy). It was made to order, and it came out piping hot! I didn't taste spicy and would have liked more cheese and flavor. The pizza is a deep dish square pizza. $23 for the size was steep to me. I didn't eat all of it and reheated it the next day, and it didn't taste that good. Drink: lemonade. Strawberry, I believe, and it was good. Overall, the pizza was ok (not worth $23). Maybe the next time if I go back, I'll split it with someone, get extra cheese, and eat my portion in one sitting and

This place has been on my list for some time and I was fortunate to visit at a downtime. Amongst a city full of pizza shops, Down North stands out among the greats. ENVIRONMENT The restaurant is relatively easy to find and seats no more than 5 or so people in the shop. The wait was a tad excessive which I credited to the food being "made with love". FOOD I love a good piece of focaccia! Another contributor commented that their pizza can be likened to focaccia which I would find to be incredibly accurate. The "Detroit" style was incredibly flavorful accompanied by a heaping of toppings(I settled on the "I'm A Boss"). I will admit the fries left a bit much to be desired but not enough to influence my rating. If you're based anywhere in North Philly between Farimount and Erie Ave, I can confidently say Down North is among the top three picks for the area. Happy eating!

Best pizza in Philly (if you're a deep dish lover)! The dough is nice and buttery and only slightly crispy at the edges. I got the Roc the Mic pizza, which had the perfect amount of cheese, tomato, and pepperoni. I was a bit skeptical of the beef pepperoni (there doesn't seem to be any pork of the menu), but it hardly tasted different him pork pepperoni. Will be ordering from here again soon!

I cane during the last 30minutes and almost missed ny opportunity to taste the BEST PIZZA I'VE EVER HAD!!! Oh my gosh... it's perfect from start to finish!! It's moist and all the toppings have their individual taste so every bite is full of flavor. I absolutely love the mission and intent behind the business. I received service from the chef/owner himself! What a pleasant surprise!! This is going on my MUST HAVE list while in Philly. I recommend you stop by. Order delivery or pick up. Be patient as they serve so many hungry people all day. I promise it's worth the wait.

FIRST OF ALL, all their beef is ZABIHA! THE BEEF PEPPERONI IS BUSSIN, as the kids say these days. If you like Detroit style or Grandma style pizza, you can expect the same here. No Betta Love + Beef Pepperoni 5/5, the Norf sauce is so sweet and they add so much pepperoni. Uptown Vibes 5/5, this one's for the veggie lovers (kale, mushrooms, red peppers, red onions). The Norf sauce is also used on this pizza but for some reason it had a kick to it? Maybe from the red peppers? I don't know but it was impeccable! Please look at my last two photos, the bubbles in the crust and the solidified cheese crisps. Ugh, so good!

WOW! We swung by on a Saturday night before an event at Laurel Hill. The Break You Off was one of the best pizzas I've ever had. Crispy crust, flavorful toppings, and just the right amount of cheese. Maybe even more impressive, the vegan No Betta Love was also amazing. The norf sauce is spicy and delicious and you wouldn't know the cheese is vegan. The apple pie milkshake and blueberry lemonade were pretty great too. It took us about 20 minutes to get our order, which makes sense because we watched them make our pizza from scratch! They have seating for like 5-6 people. It's mostly a takeout place, but the guys were plenty nice to us while we dined in. I would 100% go out of my way to go to this place again next time I'm in Philly.

Lots of parking and definitely a hole in the wall spot! This pizza is quite pricey (~74$ for 3 pizzas), but if you like a thicker styled pizza, it will hit the spot (it sort of reminds me of an elevated form of pizza hut lol). The edges are quite crispy yet the overall crust is fluffy. I wished there was more pepperoni it had those nice crisp ends. I personally am not a big fan of bbq pizzas, but they were still pretty good. The mix of sausage and peppers is a good combo, but I could barely taste them because of the bbq sauce. Overall, I would highly recommend the pepporni or non-bbq ones unless you are a fan of them.

Went with a group of about 7 or 8 and it was very difficult to get seating. The time you walk through the door, order your food, and to receive it will take quite a while. By 11:30 on Saturday, they have to stop people from walking in and wait outside until the line inside shortened. For anyone looking for the most authentic Filipino food, this is not the place. With that said, the food is still good. It has a Filipino flare, with a modern, for the masses, feel. Would try the place, but not frequently.

I paid attention to how the staff would handle the situation. After helping the current customer, the cashier gave him a cup of juice. I didn't see any payment, so I assumed it was offered to him. As he stepped outside, I asked my husband to check if he wanted something to eat. When my husband came back, he told me he had given him money. While that was kind, I honestly would have preferred to get him food myself just to make sure he actually ate. A few minutes later, the man came back in and sat at the counter. At first, I didn't see anyone approach him, but shortly after, the staff brought him a bag with food. I'm not sure if he ordered through the take out window then came in, paid the waiter, or if it was provided to him, but either way, it meant a lot to see. He took his food and left. What stood out most was that the staff didn't ignore him, rush him out, or treat him like he didn't belong. At one point, I even heard a staff member ask if he had received his juice, which made me think this wasn't their first interaction with him. In a world where people are often overlooked or dismissed, it meant a lot to see a business show simple human kindness. Treating people with dignity and empathy shouldn't be rare--but unfortunately, it often is. For that alone, Honey's Sit 'n Eat deserves recognition. Oh... and the food is always great!
