Teri's is everything you'd want in a roadside diner tucked away off the beaten path. What really…read moresurprised was just how good the food was. Just looking at the menu you'll think "ok, typical greasy spoon type place ". But they are much better than that and do take pride in what would appear to basic diner fare. I went with the buffalo chicken wrap and opted for onion rings instead of fries. The wrap itself was full of crispy crunchy chicken, with the right balance of lettuce tomato cheese. And the buffalo sauce brought just the right amount of heat. I couldn't put the thing down. But the star of the show was the onion rings. These are probably the best I've had and it'll probably be years before I have better. Perfect light and crispy, the right crunch, and the tender onion makes a clean break with every bite! You know what I'm talking about--when the rest of the onion wants to slide out of the rest of the ring? Atmosphere is charming and fits what you'd expect for this kind of establishment. Owner and staff are incredibly friendly and welcoming. Prices are reasonable. I'm looking forward to returning when the daily special is bacon wrapped meatloaf with mashed potatoes. Highly recommend.

We stopped in for carry out - ordered a breakfast wrap & 2 burgers (1 bbq and 1 Rt 66). It's fun inside, cute signs. Wait wasn't long at all! They had a sign in book & ofc the Route 66 stamp. What could improve / could have been better: Order accuracy: I received a breakfast bowl instead of wrap. One of the burgers was a bacon burger & neither matched what we ordered but they were decent burgers! Food preparation: The hash-browns were cooked on too high of heat, so not fully done but burning in places. 3/10 at best. Carry out specifics: no napkins, no flatware. They accept card, but tips are only cash. I don't love that & would prefer somewhere be fully cash only or accept cards & allow tipping. I had called to asked prior to arrival when placing my order to inquire about cash or card & they noted card was fine, so I didn't have cash available to tip unfortunately!

The table we were sitting at was really dark, so much so I had to lighten the photos so you can even see our food. The biscuits and gravy were bland and I am pretty sure the gravy was powdered as there were lumps in it. No flavor at all. The coffee was good but my cup was empty for a bit before someone came by to refill it, which I can forgive because they were busy. My husband said his French toast was just okay and tasted like bread with powdered sugar. The sausages also had chunks of something (perhaps apple?) that was not appetizing. His over-medium eggs were decent though. Finally, I'm pretty sure there was a dead cockroach in the dark single toilet bathroom, which doesn't inspire confidence. A city sign outside in the street proclaimed Edwardsville as a "foodie" town, if that's true then there must be better places to go. Skip this one.

It was one of those mornings and I had a craving for, Chicken Fried Steak. So I headed out of the house, to enjoy a nice breakfast at a diner. I hadn't been to B Town in a while, so even with the current gas prices, I made the drive to Bethalto. Their Chicken Fried Steak came with eggs, so I had mine scrambled. It also came with a choice of Hash Browns or American Fried Potatoes. I asked the waitress what her favorite was and she said, American. The American Fried are done totally in house. That sold me. It also came with toast, but I took a pass. They provided a steak knife with my breakfast, but it wasn't needed. The meat was tender and it was easy to break off a bite using just a fork. My eggs were fluffy and the potatoes were a good choice. So, always listen to your server. One thing I really like about B Town, is they do not overly season their food. I like the fact that I actually need to add more salt or pepper to my entree. I hate it when some places overly salt food. Good Food, Good Prices and Good Service will have me coming back for another breakfast. I might even come and check-out their lunch menu.
