It can even be hired for birthday parties. It is quite reasonably priced at about £5 per session plus £2 for skate hire. Often in the local papers there are vouchers for 2 for 2 and discounts during school holidays. If you don't want to skate there are regular ice hockey matches by the Invicta Dynamos. For your teenagers they have regular disco skate nights and this seems to be a favourite with my sons school friends.

There are fab exercise classes that you need to book in for, the gym has a wide range of equipment. The pool is small which lets the place down somewhat. The bar/restaurant area is good and kids are welcome, good food at reasonable to expensive prices, so occasional treat rather than regular feature. Good kids clubs mainly for under 10s, need to be booked. I like it there. Tennis, badminton & squash courts.

Many activities go on here, parties can be held here in the soft play area. Food is average. Nice to have a decent cup of coffee and a relax whilst kids burn off their energy. Soft play area is of reasonable size and is clean and well maintained. My favourite activity here is the after school bowling for schoolchildren which is available term time, costing only £1.75 per child, not bad for a couple of hours entertainment, although once treats and drinks are added (Although optional) the cost builds up.

The indoor tennis courts are plentiful and well laid out. There are two large swimming pools (indoor and outdoor) and after some recent thermostat problems the temperature is set at a comfortable 30 degrees C (personally I hate swimming in cold water). The three squash courts are fine, although could do with a little maintenance. The big benefit of the club is the social aspect, with a large coffee, bar area serving hot food and drinks. It stays open as long as the club (around 11.30) although drinks are limited to licensing hours. I find that the extensive combination of activities supported and the very good social atmosphere make this a good club to belong to (although I think the pricing needs reviewing a bit - hence one lost rating star). Note: The Gym has now been taken over by the David Lloyd Group.
