A very low-key place to go clay pigeon shooting near Tenterden, run by an approachable bunch of people who won't look askance at you if it's your first time. They have skeet facilities, as well as a fun sporting layout which can be quite challenging, which you can use at prices that aren't prohibitive. The downside is that they don't sell ammo (although it's available 5 minutes down the road) and there's no formal coaching programme, so I'd say it's probably best for people who have a bit of experience or those who want to learn but don't need a huge amount of hand-holding. The great news, however, is that unless my memory deceives me I don't think they charge for tuition, so it's a great way to try out a great sport at an affordable price before you commit yourself to anything more serious. read more
