Although the website and lease state that you have full access to amenities, the gym has unexpectedly closed for months at a time in the winter, and the pool has unexpectedly closed for weeks at a time in the summer. Although they let us know in early November that they'd finish renovating the gym by the end of December, they finished in February. It is now March, and the bathrooms they deconstructed are still untouched. A crack in the pool took weeks to repair during summer months. Closures like these will occur with unreasonable and unreliable timeframes, and no compensation to offset it. Dove Valley's internet provider, Xfinity, works with some devices but not others. My 2020 SE iphone does not connect despite lots of troubleshooting. Also know that they do not have cameras if any crime occurs. My catalytic converter was stolen from my car and there was no recorded evidence. read more

If I could give 0 stars, I would. I've lived here for just over 3 years, and it has taken a nose dive. BOTTOM LINE UP FRONT: Live somewhere else. When we initially moved in, everything was great. Rent was reasonable, amenities were decent, and staff was excellent. However, since then, this place has gone to crap. Want to live here? Guess what: you gotta pay to park (on top of rent). They have begun nickel and diming residents for EVERYTHING. Total rent has gone up nearly $400 in the last three years. For this kind of money, I can live much closer to work. You are required to pay for a valet trash service ($20 a month) that only picks up 2-3 times a week. It's supposed to be 5. Speaking of trash, the dumpsters have been overflowing as of late-- and the grounds crew doesn't seem to mind trash floating around the complex. Additionally, the dog waste bins (there are plenty) haven't been getting emptied. So lots of bags of dog poo on the ground. Yuck! The clubhouse (which includes the gym) is being renovated... For why, I cannot tell you. It was nice to begin with. They stated 6 weeks. That has turned into 12, with no actual completion date. And that gym? It's not being touched. They locked it during renovations, but aren't actually changing anything in it. Want to grill a steak? Put your walking shoes on. You can't have grills on your patio anymore. You are required to walk to the pool area, where you will find two dirty grills-- one of which isn't even attached to the gas line. Sweet! The office staff is nice and understanding. They are just trying to do their jobs. This is probably the only positive thing I can think about at this moment. DOVE VALLEY APARTMENTS: you can do better. read more

DON'T MISS OUT ON LIVING HERE!!!! From the start, I knew this is the place I wanted to live. From the easy, on-line application process, to being given my keys, I felt like I was home. When I came for a personalized tour (PM Aranza Reyes is who I'd ask for), I couldn't believe I was getting ALL of this, for such a fair price. The clubhouse, the weight room, the pool, the BBQ area, the dog run and last but not least, my unit itself. 2 HUGE bedrooms with full baths and walk-in closets in both. The living room and kitchen are an open living concept that makes me feel right at home. Whenever I've needed maintenance, it's as easy as going on the portal and requesting it with next day response. The management staff are responsive, friendly and attentive. Over the past 6 months the cleanliness on sidewalks, quality of neighbors, and overall feelings of safety have drastically declined. There was an unsettling SWAT team incident last Sunday that left myself and my roommate feeling very unsettled. Reports of vehicle break in's have also left me second questioning my decision to stay. The apartment has gone down hill since the previous property management change over a few years ago under Mission Rock. There's dirty breeze ways leading to your unit. The new renters that have been coming to the community are less then desirable, vehicles been broken into, it's just been a big disappoint living here thus far and I look forward to ending my lease. P. S. Depending on who's your neighbor, your unit will SMELL of Curry and onions to the point of disgust. The smell somehow travels through the pipes causing your laundry room and bathrooms to reek. I wanted to write a review on Erin, who works In the leasing office at Dove Valley Apartments. She has been the most helpful and understanding person to work with, not only that but she is so sweet. It's very important to me that people are kind when working with stuff like this, she was never once rude to us at all & I know that she never will be. We were in a 3 bedroom apartment, and we needed to transition to a 2 bedroom apartment to downsize. She has made the transition so easy for us, and we can't thank her enough. I will continue going to Erin anytime we need help because I know she genuinely cares about us getting the best service possible. I stayed here for 30 days and in that time my garage door wouldn't work once leaving my car trapped inside and once I was awaken in the night to something happening outside my window that involved a fire truck and a police officer in a swat helmet. I'm writing a review at the beginning of my stay at this complex and may revise later as necessary. We moved from Missouri and I did plenty of research into apartments prior to moving. We have no desire to buy in the current market and the rent at all the apartment complexs in the area are comparable,albeit expensive. We moved into a three bedroom two bath as we have children, as do the neighbors above and below us, and we expect to hear noise from the apartment above especially given the fact our apartment only has carpeting in the bedrooms. The layout is good, closets are large,bathrooms are adequate with a large tub in the master at attached bath. The overall layout isn't too bad and we specifically picked an apartment with an angled exposure to avoid harsh afternoon light. Does the area look industrial as previously mentioned? Not really. The very large Park is across one street with a hay field on either side and some cow land. My husband works down the street on Chambers so we're very close to work and our son attends the Cherry Creek Schools which is exactly what we wanted. We do have a window facing the parking lot and we do open it frequently so we get a fair amount of noise but again we chose this apartment. My only complaint is others who can't be bothered to follow signs, speed through the gates or peel off from a stop or who frequently go in and out the wrong one way lanes. We enjoy the pool and gym and haven't had any issues with maintenance requests not being met in a timely manner and the office always calls as a follow up. I'm about to file a maintenance request to have someone else turn on the gas fireplace so I suppose we'll see how long that takes. Frankly it's an apartment complex and not condos so I'm not sure why people think they're going to be. read more

I have lived here 3 years now. The staff, namely Tanya, Sandra, and Alexis, has always been very helpful and friendly. I have only had a few maintenance issues and they were resolved very quickly (within 24 hours). The parking lot and tennis court were recently resurfaced and all of the buildings painted. My kids and I love the pool. My only suggestion would be to install security cameras at the front gates and around the parking areas. Overall, it has been a very positive experience. read more

I decided to update this review after living here for 1.5 yrs. Most of the points made in the first review are still applicable, but the maintenance is a joke. It's only gotten worse in my opinion. I filled out a maintenance request online in July and nothing was done until I followed up with the front office in SEPTEMBER. Then, without any other notice I received a voicemail while at work from a repairman saying he tried to enter my apartment to fix the requested items but my dog stopped him from entering. I stated VERY clearly in my lease and every request I have ever filled out to not enter my apartment without my presence. My dog is there for my protection and she did exactly what she was supposed to do and didn't let anyone enter. I never gave them permission to enter, yet they tried anyway. I had to call back and schedule a time when they could come while I was present but never got a clear confirmation on where that miscommunication happened. I found this interaction problematic because it came across very unprofessional and aggressive. It made me uncomfortable with the repairmen that needed to enter my apartment later on. read more

This place has lot of bed bugs and I suggest everyone before renting any apartment in here please make sure you don't have any bed bugs. What? There's no zero stars? We have been staying at Dove Valley Apartments for less than 30 days while our home remodel is completed. We've been having a lot of issues mainly with amenities that we were promised that we'd have access to. It all appears to be a facade and the staff has no intentions to solve any issues. They do smile and put on a face until at one point they start getting rude. This office personnel called me to complain to me about my wife and concluded with a suggestion to move out if we're unhappy. WOW! How do you respond to that? I think she doesn't realize that the management may have some issues with her behavior. Our issues have been: Hot tub area is consistently double locked during operation hours so we don't get a chance to use it. It must have been 7 times that we tried and locked every time. They act like they it's such an odd thing that the gates are locked during operating hours until it happens again the next day. I got tired of listening to the same lame surprised behavior but they keep on giving it. Actions speak louder than words. As I was instructed by office staff, I called the maintenance guy to get the gate unlocked he just hung up the phone after saying "I ain't coming out there to unlock the gate for you". This took me by surprise because I was not upset or rude to him. The nice grills at the pool area seem to be just for show. One is not even hooked up to the gas line behind it and the other is barely used and you guessed it right, it wasn't operational. When we asked for it to be serviced It appeared that I was being fed one lie after another and I was tired of going to the office so went out and bought a grill. It took them 2 - 3 days to fix the leaky toilets we inherited when we moved in. It's impossible that they didn't notice it while the apartment was being cleaned but never bothered to fix them before we moved in. We couldn't sleep for the duration because of the constant water noise. Appliances don't work right. Microwave has a burnt bulb and the turntable doesn't work so it burns the food. I'm not even wasting time on this one. :) We can't open the dishwasher door without hitting the oven door handle. This one is weird! Who designed this place? Really? If you're thinking about leasing from them I recommend you talk to some tenants and ask them if they're having any issues. Hope this helps... read more

If I could rate negative stars I would. These people are awful, almost as awful as how high the rent is for what you get. DO NOT MOVE HERE! The neighbors don't care about anything around them, and will let you know with a note on your door that your music was too loud, at 1 in the afternoon.... garages cost way too much, and the landlords don't even know what the real leash laws here are. Staff has provided excellent service throughout move in, any issues were fixed immediately (washer motor had stopped mid cycle and they replaced the entire machine no questions asked). Apartment was extremely clean and had brand new carpet! Management had a St. Patrick's day celebration which was awesome and provided a chance to meet the members of the community. Neighbors are awesome and watch out for one another! Also a quiet community. Couldn't be happier! read more

Lived here two years now and let me say I hate this place!!!! They've had a rat problem for years now and they say that they addressed the issues but everyone still sees them everywhere! They are even chewing wires in cars! The office staff is awful, they cant keep any employees to work for them. The assistant however is always extremely helpful every-time I've been in. The maintenance is amazing and fast to come out to fix issues. The over all only problem ive had with living here is the property manager, she never talks to us residents when there is any problems or even with simple questions. I went in the office a couple days ago and it was just her in the office but when I walked in she didnt pay any attention that someone came in the office so I had to leave!! Ridiculous! This place deserves negative stars, and to be shut down until they actually pull their heads onto their shoulders and solve the bed bug issue. I have had to replace $2000 worth of beds and bedding materials, along with throwing away $600 worth of bedding and spending 80+ hours re washing all the laundry in my possession. The staff refused to let us out of the lease for MONTHS, and now refuse to reimburse for the damages caused by their negligence. I have reported this complex to the department of public health and wellness. This company is pure garbage. The assistant property manager Tanya has done nothing to address our concern, and the property manager has spent the entire time hiding from my husband and myself. RATS!!!! Infested by rats and swallows that nest above the doors and leave droppings all over your front door, people have had issues with there vehicles being damaged by the rats chewing on wires. Probably the worst management staff I've dealt with. Loved the apartment and the view but that was about it. There was two female office workers besides the property manager who were friendly and did a good job. They were replaced about 6 months later by a few male employees who were alright at first but evidently became worn out/bored/who knows what as they became unfriendly with no smiles or effort to being concerned. Maintenance staff act as vigilantes, chasing down cars who go over the 10 MPH speed limit in their golf carts. We had a couple follow us to apartment and begin yelling at us in front of the building and our neighbors ( We were going 12MPH as we pulled in the front gates, which they considered "speeding"). The property manager seemed unaware of her own properties rules/policies when it was brought to her attention that other residents were bringing their small children (2-6 yrs old) into the workout room and allowing them to play on the equipment. The signs posted read no children under 16 yrs old allowed at any time, yet she said there was nothing she could do about it. What?! Any maintenance issues brought up, such as our broken toilet handle, took over 10 days to be fixed. Had a stranger walk into our apartment as evidently our apartment shared a key with a neighboring building. When I called the office they began questioning me "Are you sure it wasn't maintenance? Did you call in an order? Are you sure the door was even locked? Was it your roommate?" When they finally came to investigate I saw the guilty party get into their car and begin to drive away and watched as the office worker turn around and walk away. I then approached the car at which point the office worker came back and said he was intending to flag the car down as it passed. Right. There was a tanning bed, nice, but at some point the goggles were taken/lost and up until the time we moved out, were never replaced. I no longer live at Dove Valley, having purchased a townhome about a year and a half ago when the rent increased to more than a mortgage.I suppose that's the result of the economy and supply/demand, though- not 'greed' or anything related to the apartment management. I still work near the complex though and I have to admit I miss it a little when I drive by sometimes. I lived at Dove Valley for a little more than 5 years. In that time frame there were few complaints. Maintenance came more times than I could count to fix a fire alarm in my unit that would NOT stay off. I only became super frustrated once when (during a snow storm) it took them more than 3 hours to respond because none of the maintenance guys were on site. Even removed from the ceiling, those alarms are deafening and even standing on a chair, I wasn't tall enough to simply take it down. (Did I mention the high ceilings? It makes the unit feel pretty spacious and open!) During my third year there the water heater broke and the repair occurred while I was at work. I came home to find sticky fingerprints on my medicine cabinet, which freaked me out! What else did he go through? Anything? Nothing? The police came out but since nothing was taken they were not able to do much. I think they took photos of the glue-y fingerprints more to make me feel better than to actually run them. I reported the issue to management and acknowledged that it was possible the worker hurt himself during the install and was simply looking for a band aid or cleaners. They let me know they would investigate but would not be able to share the results, but after that I never saw that particular worker again and the mini-van he drove was no longer present. Other than that, I enjoyed my time there. The pool is great in the summer but get there early as they are very short on lounge chairs. My neighbors were kind and helpful with the exception of one very over-burdened single Mom who used to throw her kids outside early on weekend mornings to play. They would run the breezeways shrieking loudly but when I did ask them to keep it down, they did. I felt sorry for Mom, who obviously had her hands full. The trash collection there is pretty cool- you just put your trash in a little 'bench/box' outside of your unit and the trash fairy takes it away! No slogging through the snow and mud to empty it. I had a 1 bdrm/1 bath ground unit that overlooked the dog park and it was nice to have a view of something other than a parking lot. My first year lease came with a garage and I enjoyed it immensely but because parking was never a problem, I chose not to pay for the privelege when I renewed my lease the 2nd year. Having read some of the other reviews I was surprised to see other people complain of fees at move out. I didn't expect my security deposit back, to be honest- my cat became incontinent at one point during my stay, and try as I did, she had accidents frequently. No amount of carpet shampooing (and I did a lot of it!) could ever remove the scent. In an attempt to mask that odor, I lit many, many candles. Some of the cheaper candles left black smoke marks on the ceiling above them. The blinds on my window, which faced South, became very yellow from the sun and when I tried to clean them I accidentally broke the track they were in. I did SCRUB every appliance and surface inside and out when I left but still.. in 5 years I definitely did some damage! So you can imagine my shock and joy when I received a refund of my security deposit (minus $75.00) in the mail less than 2 weeks after I moved out! If not for the issue with the maintenance guy, I would be rating this place with 4 stars instead of 3. And since the problem WAS immediately addressed by management, my true rating of Dove Valley is a 3.5. read more

Would give 0 stars if I possibly could. Spoke with Jessica about a 1 bed/bath and visited twice. Was told that it would be no problem to meet my budget and was even given a rate $100 under budget during the second tour. I was told that I had 24 hours to make the decision but that they could hold the rate up to two weeks. I call next day to reserve the apartment for two weeks away and lock in that rate. Sandra is who I spoke to on the phone and was told that the rate was basically useless and only good if I was approved and moved in same day. I don't need the apartment for another two weeks. Sandra basically blew me off and didn't even care enough to take my name down or ask who I was. When discussing that I was misled, I asked her how much it would be if I waited for two weeks, she said it would be an extra $300 a month! She kept telling me to go to the site which magically raised the rent price $100 from the day before. Sandra acted like she could care less about me being a new tenant and that "another number (not person) would come through and pay that rate". Its unfortunate because Jessica was nice and helpful. Poor customer service on this building management. Luckily there is other options I could consider. read more

Currently a resident and counting down the days until i'm out. The ladies that work here are rude and condescending and never get anything done when I put a request in and have accused me of lying on multiple occasions. The most unprofessional staff i've ever seen. I've had lights fall from the ceiling to toilets/showers/washers dryers not work to lost mail. (lost mail is a major issue here! They lose packages almost weekly. Our neighbors had their passports lost here after the UPS delivered them. We had to start shipping everything to work) I wish they would replace all management.. I have lived here for four years and I enjoy it living here. The location is wonderful. The maintenance men are timely and courteous. The front office is helpful for the most part. I enjoy the fitness room and pool. I hope the pool is open in a timely manner. It would be nice if there was more of a sense of community with activities for the tenants. Thought I was moving into apartments similar to surrounding, nice apartments. I was dead wrong. I liked the layout and the view, so I signed a lease without examining things carefully. I was horrified when I started looking around. The hinges on kitchen cabinets are sprung and won't stay closed. Underneath the kitchen sink was all rotted out. The kitchen countertop had a place where you can put your finger through it it is so rotten. Bathroom light fixture was falling off --- it was replaced, and is now crooked and an eyesore when you go in. Cabinet doors in kitchen are Cheap, cheap, cheap, and don't match the cabinet wood. The doors are coated with a thin plastic that is pealing off on most doors. When I moved in, I found the kitchen trash half full. When I set it outside for the complex trash removal to pick up, they refused to pick it up because the can was not lined. They also will not pick up a small box I left. I report maintenance issues; the maintenance guy agrees they really need to be fixed. I call the office. . .and then when I go down to check on them, they are not even entered into the computer as issues. When I moved in, I asked what internet company served the property. "I don''t know" the lady said. She never offered to find out or to help. I rented because I wanted a place with a hot tub. . .but it has been out of commission or locked most of the time I've been here. . .and the staff seems nonchalant about it. This is the absolute worst apartment complex in the whole DTC area. I don't see how any could be worse. read more
