As a doula, she is extremely capable, professional, and supportive. When I first connected with Shalin via videochat for a consultation, she instantly made me feel comfortable. I decided to go with Shalin based on how experienced and knowledgeable she seemed, as well as how comprehensive her doula services package was. Over the course of my pregnancy, Shalin visited my house several times to educate my husband and me about the birthing process, evidence-based approaches to birth, and different ways to prepare my body for birth, and to go over my birth plan. The whole process made me feel really prepared for the birth and gave me a greater understanding of what I wanted for the birth. I also appreciated that I got to know Shalin more during the pregnancy so that she didn't feel like a stranger at all. In fact, she is so warm and friendly that she felt more like a friend! She didn't push any particular views on me but wanted me to feel supported in my birth preferences.  When I went into early labor, Shalin was very responsive and kept checking in on me to see how labor was progressing, and when we decided to go to the hospital, she was super quick to meet us there. She was prepared in every way and set up lights and candles for the room. The hospital room was a vibe and very peaceful! Since I gave birth in a hospital setting, it was also important to me to have someone who could help advocate for me. When my hospital care team asked me to do certain things, Shalin checked in with me to see if I wanted to proceed with what they were asking. During the labor, she suggested different laboring positions and did counterpressure and other comfort measures, which helped me tremendously in coping with the pain. With Shalin's help and support, all my birth preferences were met! I had such a positive, empowering labor - something I never would have thought possible after my first delivery experience (without a doula).  I loved having Shalin as my doula and I highly recommend her! I can't stress enough how having her as my doula made such a difference to my second delivery experience. I am so happy with how everything went and really couldn't have done it without Shalin!

They are truly Masters of their craft. Theyre very good with communication, taking care of the newborn and just overall good people. I don't think I've met a kinder group of people. You could really tell that they put their hearts into what they do. It's not just a job to them. They are here to help mothers get through the most difficult time after childbirth. I could see the struggles my wife was going through, and I did my best to help, but I knew that it wasn't enough. Rebecca and her staff provided that extra edge we needed to help out my wife. Becca took the time to understand my previous traumatic birth and matched me with Stephenie and Tracey R. as my doulas for my second birth. Together they answered all of my questions and provided LOTS of reassurance during what can be a very emotional and uncertain time. They both helped me work through the trauma of my previous birth and had confidence in me when I didn't have the confidence in my body. During labor, Tracey's presence made a world of difference. She was calm, attentive, and deeply knowledgeable, offering both guidance and emotional support exactly when I needed it. Whether it was helping me stay grounded through transition or advocating for my birth plan, she helped me feel empowered and confident throughout the entire process. It literally brings tears to my eyes thinking about my redemptive hospital birth - unmedicated, 10lbs baby boy. I know Tracey had a lot to do with that because she supported me both physically and emotionally. My baby is almost one, so this review is long overdue but I feel the gratitude for them even more now that I'm coming out of the postpartum fog. What stood out most was their compassion and dedication--not just to me, but to my husband as well. They made sure we both felt included, informed, and supported every step of the way. If you're looking for doulas who are professional yet warm and truly invested in your experience, they are an excellent choice. I'm so grateful for all of them (including Arielle for the in home lactation consultation!) - Allie & Stephen

We were hoping to do the majority of the laboring at home and the last few hours in the hospital. I could see my husband panicking and running around and the idea of a Doula there to pour him a glass of wine, put me in the bathtub, and be there for the two of us, was very appealing! We interviewed a few Doulas but none gave us the good feeling like Amy. Some were experienced but seemed to lack passion, or some had passion but lacked experience. Amy fortunately had both and she really connected with us, which was especially important because everything turned out differently than we imagined. I had a rough labor and delivery and it was such a comfort to have Amy there with all her knowledge and wisdom. She guided me to more comfortable positions and tried to have my baby turned in a natural way. She was also a quiet and strong presence and when it came time to make decisions she was a great impartial source who knew our wishes. During difficult moments she also supported my husband and encouraged him to take a break when needed during the 26-hour labor. Amy truly went above and beyond--being there from the start to the end! We can warmly and truly recommend Amy to anyone who can use an experienced Doula to help guide them through the different steps of childbirth. It really eliminated most of the stress so we could focus on bringing new life into this world and we know she can do the same for others.

My first labor was pitocin induced and I knew that for my second, I wanted to try to go into labor naturally. So I when I started to feel anxious at the end of pregnancy, I received prenatal massages & care from Angela. She is incredibly knowledgeable, competent and generous with her care- I left my appointments with questions answered that I didn't even know I had. Her advice and support was exactly what I needed to trust the process and have an intervention free birth. She came to the hospital the day of birth to take my placenta for encapsulation. And she is making home visits for the first baby check up- rather than taking a 3 day old baby & post-partum mama back to the hospital. My only regret is that I didn't hire Angela sooner. I thought that I would only ever give birth in a medical facility, but if I have another baby, I would want to home birth with Angela because of the superior level of care and the heart that she puts into her work. I cannot recommend her services highly enough.

Very low key, there when we needed, super helpful, answered all our questions, reasonable pricing, reliable and most importantly made my husband and me feel sane/like we would totally be able to handle both birth and having a kid. And trust me when I say I am the last person who would feel confident about being able to do that. She actually (at our request) gave us a baby care boot camp - way better getting childcare info from her than from the classes at the hosp. And then she was with us for the whole birth - which we did at the hospital, might I add. She certainly does midwifery and home birthing, but I wanted a hospital birth and just the emotional support. She was terrific. When the doctors/nurses changed shifts, we still had her. When they made suggestions, we had her to ask what they meant/what she thought/advocate for us. When my epidural wasn't working, she pressed on my back and made it a thousand times better. After baby, she came and checked in on us and has been a resource for questions and information. Long story short: she is the best, ever. You should hire her immediately. Unless I am having another baby, in which case I have dibs.

Christie did such an excellent job caring for me and my family from the first time we came to her clinic through pregnancy and birth and well beyond the postpartum period. Not only did Christie bring a deep knowledge of traditional midwifery care, but also her expertise around nutrition and the natural holistic approach of her practice were what made such a big difference for me in this pregnancy. The prenatal visits were detailed, personal and every discomfort I experienced was met with a suggestion on how to provide relief rather than it being dismissed as another pregnancy symptom. My husband and I are new residents to California and I am currently pregnant with our first child. We have no family in the area. I had a phone consult scheduled with the owner, Ms. Michele, on January 5th, 2026. She called me on time and we both mutually agreed to move forward with the on-boarding process for doula services for my pregnancy. She requested that I call my insurance company and gather the information for her in an email. I did this, and sent her an email the following night, on January 6th. I didn't hear anything from her, so I sent a text message to both her work and personal cell phone number on January 9th. No response. At this point, I am 37 weeks, and anxious to move things along for doula services. The weekend and Monday goes by, and I still have not received a reply. I decide, as a last attempt, to call her. I called both her work and personal cell phone and left a voicemail on each line on Tuesday, January 13th. Nothing. Shame on the owner, Ms. Michele, for stating that she will move the process forward and said she will have a doula for me for my birth. She lied. She disclosed to me during our consult that she is a mother herself and had over twenty years of experience working as a L&D nurse. This provided me great relief and happiness, only for it to be crushed when she never replied to my messages. How can someone with this sort of background make a promise and then not follow through? Ms. Michele should be ashamed of herself not only on a professional level, but also on a personal level. This seems to be a wider issue with the Doula profession as I was ghosted by another local Sacramento doula company as well as the Volunteer Doula Coordinator at Mercy Hospital of Folsom. I believe doulas are a valuable asset to a woman's birth experience, however, I will not be wasting my time anymore trying to arrange one for my pregnancy.

I had planned to have a typical doctor-led birth at a hospital with an epidural and Chloe walked me and my husband through what to expect at the hospital and I felt a lot of comfort knowing that I'd have her as an advocate to be sure I wasn't pressured into doing anything that I didn't want to do by hospital staff. Knowing that Chloe also works at Midtown Nurse Midwives, my husband and I asked her what our birth plan experience might look like should we choose that route and we instantly knew that the birth center birth was what we wanted. Now, you might be thinking, if the birth center has doulas, why would I need to hire one? Yes, you need to hire a doula! Chloe came to my house and supported me and my husband through early labor, which I feel like was the worst part for me! She did what she could to keep me comfortable, keep me hydrated, but most importantly - to help my labor progress. My labor lasted about 35 hours in total and when she wasn't with me, she was on the phone coaching my husband on what to do. In the end, I wound up getting the unmedicated birth that I wanted and know there is no way I would have gotten through it without Chloe. She is truly amazing! Chloe also checked in on my new little family a day or so after my babe was born and brought us the most delicious lentil dal, which lasted us several meals. And she dehydrated and encapsulated my placenta, which was very convenient with her attending my birth, she was able to take it straight from the birth center and then deliver with my postpartum visit. I think of her dearly when I reflect on my birth experience, she helped bring our daughter into this world and that is so special to share with someone. If we ever decide to have another babe, I will most definitely hire Chloe again, she is truly amazing! From the bottom of my heart, thank you Chloe, we love you!!!

She is a dream come true for our family. I trust her wholeheartedly and during labor she offered her entire heart, energy, and soul to me and my family, and for that we are eternally grateful. Upon meeting Chloe, it was clear to us that we had found our doula - she's thoughtful, calm, knowledgeable, and listens carefully. When we met with her before our son's birth, she took the words out of my mouth which gave me peace of mind and built my trust in her incredibly quickly. This is so valuable because birth is such a sacred and vulnerable space. She was available for questions throughout my labor and her IG is full of positive, empowering and helpful information. Fast forward to labor. I went into early labor on a Thursday afternoon and gave birth early on a Friday morning. Very late on Thursday evening, we called Chloe and asked her to come to our home because I began to question my own abilities. She arrived promptly and immediately helped put my partner and me at ease so I could continue to labor at home and progressed to 9cm upon arrival at the hospital. She worked so well with my partner. She provided ongoing comfort measures, reassuring affirmations, and helpful suggestions to keep my confidence up and keep labor progressing at home. This allowed my partner to be my cheerleader which is exactly what I needed him to be as my number one supporter. Throughout the process Chloe amplified my wishes and needs allowing me to have the most empowering birth I could have wished for. I truly believe that Chloe was the difference between a repeat C-section and a VBAC for me. She was determined to help baby and me into positions that allowed gravity to help since my first labor was deemed "failure to progress" after 3 days of labor and 10cm dilated. Her suggestions not only helped this labor progress quickly but made me feel in charge of this birth. I still chat with Chloe during this postpartum period to ask questions and because she's just that awesome. Related, if you are interested in placenta encapsulation, I also highly recommend her for that. Thank you, Chloe, for all that you did for me and my family. I know any family is in excellent hands with you
