Terrible customer service. I called them first when I was searching for a lactation consultant and they never returned my call.

Living in The Bay Area and at a yoga retreat center in Hawaii has exposed me to a wide range of celebrated instructors. But studying with Rosy has been one of the pivotal experiences in my life. When I joined an intensive series in which she teaches Primal Core yoga, I was healing from a major back injury and surgery. It was almost like starting yoga from scratch to practice post surgery. Rosy always approached me with care and helped modify poses to make them appropriate for me. I was inspired to explore the boundaries of my body within the safe container of her class. After a couple months I found myself able to get into a full wheel pose! A full back bend was impossible at the beginning of the series. Rosy's compassionate but firm teaching style is a wonderful way to challenge yourself from a place of love in order to find your true strength. Approaching the body as Rosy instructs facilitated major healing in my body, my heart and my mind. Warning! Beware of the Transformational Power Breath if you want to stay in the same ruts you have been in. If you are ready to bring about positive changes in your life, come take class with Rosy. You will sweat, breath deeply, stretch, strengthen, laugh, meditate, release and maybe even shed a tear.

Because I am pretty picky, I wasn't sure I'd be into it, but 6 years of knee pain made me willing to try. Rosy taught me some ways to work with the alignment of my feet, knees and hips that I'd never seen before, even after working with 3 different physical therapists in the past. At one point, my knee started hurting, and she was able to simply and quickly move my leg around and get my joints back in sync. Rosy's style is so warm, compassionate and accepting, I felt really good in her presence and inspired to get stronger. Now I am back on track with exercise and credit this change in large part to Rosy. If only I could get myself to wake up early, I would try her boot camp for sure!

We were really fortunate to find our birth doula (who we love!), but the other 2 candidates were not very impressive. The first doula missed our appointment with no follow-up communication. We were initially confused and thought she was the coordinator for BB, because she only communicated by text. The actual meeting was just by telephone so there was no face-to-face interaction, which felt strange. We could've easily FaceTimed or Zoomed. So communication and reliability were not great. The second doula abruptly canceled our half-hour appointment when we were 10 minutes late for a 30-minute appointment due to my husband wrapping up a Zoom meeting. During our appointment time, she was responding to my emails (in which I apologized for being late), but insisted she could no longer meet with us. I thought this was a really bad sign about what she would be like to work with - labor and delivery is rarely precisely timed and some flexibility is needed. In addition, her email said that she lives in Portola Valley, but we live Berkeley (also where Brilliant Births is located). This also struck me as strange, because it would take 1.5 hours for her to arrive to meet us at the hospital, which is not ideal.

We had so many questions in the beginning, and were skeptical of some of the guidance we were getting from the medical establishment. We actually interviewed several doulas, but Daniella was hands down the one for us. She was able to answer all my "sciency" questions confidently and with plenty of supporting evidence; and at the same time she was also able to hold beautiful compassionate space for me to embrace my emotional vulnerability as I walked into all the unknowns of new motherhood. She helped my husband feel incredibly supported, understood, welcome and empowered as an equal partner. From each thoughtful consultation session, to a most beautiful mother's blessing, to her strong and grounding presence at the birth, to a special closing ceremony that honored the tender and challenging journey just completed, I just couldn't imagine a better companion for my husband and I through our birth experience. We will be forever grateful, and Daniella will continue to be a cherished friend as our baby daughter grows up.

She was amazing so much that I got pregnant a second time just so she can be my doula again. Just kidding when we found out we were pregnant with our 2nd baby we just knew we needed her. Postpartum care with my firstborn after my c-section made all the difference. She has such a calm to her when she came over to talk and help us through the 4th trimester. I loved doing bodywork with her during our home visits. Fast forward to my second birth she was instrumental to helping us through the delivery and getting us to the hospital. I can't say enough good things about her. Love her prenatal and postnatal yoga classes. Love her as my doula.

I first started attending prenatal yoga classes with Leonora about a year ago, when I was 16 weeks pregnant. I went almost every week twice a week until the day I gave birth. (I was in early labor during her morning class!) I then started going to her postnatal yoga classes 6 weeks postpartum and went twice a week for 4 months. Leonora has an incredibly warm and thoughtful energy. She begins every class by checking in with each mom and asks about how you're feeling in your body- any specific concerns? Muscle aches or stiffness? She thoughtfully incorporates your needs into her practice. The overall vibes of each class are immaculate- non-competitive, non-judgemental, with enough space to be either as challenging or relaxing as you need. Every yoga class I went to felt amazing for my body because of the thoughtful options she provides. The postpartum classes are wonderful because people bring their babies and there's such an understanding of needing to stop what you're doing and offer a bottle/nurse/change a diaper etc. It's wonderful to be in a room full of other moms and babies-- it was a great, stress-less way to get out of the house when I was freshly postpartum. There's such a positivity and understanding aura to her classes, which breeds a wonderful community space for prenatal and postpartum moms. Leonora pays such close attention to the needs of her clients and was so good about checking in and providing thoughtful advice. I didn't hire a doula because it was my second baby and I didn't think I needed one... now I really wish I had hired Leonora to be present at my birth because things would've gone so differently if I had had her support. (DEFINITELY will hire her if we decide to do baby #3 in a few years!) Even as "just" a yoga instructor, her guidance has been such a huge part of my birth journey that I am forever grateful for. I tell EVERY pregnant mother I meet in the area to go try her classes, which are so reasonably priced it feels like a steal for the warmth and joyful nurturing she exudes.

I'm sharing this because I wish I found someone like Casey sooner…read more I've had two sessions so far, and both were deeply personalized and exactly what I needed. In the first session, we revisited childhood memories and worked on rewriting the emotional experience I carried as a child, especially not being able to understand why my parents were busy and working (even though they were doing their best with what they knew). We ended with a chakra rebalancing meditation that helped my nervous system settle in a way I didn't expect. The second session focused on my recent grief and the patterns it has been triggering in my relationships. Casey guided me through an imagery meditation where I practiced giving myself the love, safety, and security I've been trying to find externally, and leaving the pain in the past where it belongs. It felt like emotional closure, but also like learning a new way to care for myself. Casey truly feels like a walking hug. She's present, loving, grounded, and radiant. I felt held the entire time, and I left feeling more supported than I've ever felt in a romantic relationship. The biggest gift is that she's helping me learn to provide that same compassion and safety to myself, and heal my codependency from the inside out.
